Honestly I did love this story overall, but I didn’t like Rose in the beginning lol She was too mean to Abby in my opinion but what’s a story without drama? Abby is literally the sweetest and kinda reminds me of myself. I’m wondering if they still have to write each other by the end to keep the house or if there’s another clause in the will. The only reason I’m rating this 4 stars is because the audio is so quiet! Like I don’t think my hearing is that bad but I definitely had to turn it all the way up while listening

    Lovely!
Lovely podcast. I love all atypical artists podcasts. This one’s volume isn’t great. I have to have the sound up to the max and it’s still not quite loud enough. Still listening though!!

The Best Parts of Love by Post
In “Greenhouse”, Lillian Holman has managed to create a story that feels both charmingly quaint and completely modern. The characters aren’t just thrown together by circumstances, but obliged to communicate, and to articulate through a series of letters. Rose and Abigail are given the gifts of distance and time to gather their thoughts and learn about each other through their letters, even as the story clips along. The actors give the story a full measure of the range of feelings from awkward and anxious to a blooming intimacy. Here’s to more beautifully produced stories by Holman!

    A beautiful bouquet
Yes, I'm bias for a micro-fiction, but Greenhouse really does pack an entire lifetime worth of emotion into such a concise, sharp package, that you'll find yourself floored at how much it impacts you at the end... & if you're like me, you'll immediately go back to listen again !!

    Amazing all be it short
Just finished listening to the whole thing so I’m on a queer romance high right now that might cloud my judgment but my key take away is “love is all you need”. I followed every twist and nail biting turn and enjoyed it all. I did not believe they’d be able to put so many heart clenching details in such short eps but it was wonderfully written and definitely gave me the warm fuzzies. The hospital letter where she is in a coma and the declaration of love letter were so beautiful. And my heart soared when she said ENGAGED! It was all too short and I would very much love more!

    A delightful story!
Often I find myself stumbling over new Audio Dramas or, in this case, audio fiction, especially when I am not even looking for them. I’ve just binged the series Greenhouse from ATypical Artists. I heard about it on the No Bad Ideas podcast when they had the series creator Lillian Holman on as a guest host. What makes this show fun is the epistolary format of the storytelling that gives you monologues that allow deep insights into the characters of Rose Green played by Alex Marshall Brown (she/her) and Abigail Adams Helen Highfield (she/her). All the episodes are delightfully bite-sized, so it is the perfectly proportioned story for that short weekend road trip. It leaves you wanting more, but episode twenty wraps up the whole story like a gift with a tidy bow that will satisfy those who need closure at the end of their journey. I look forward to hearing about whatever Lillian Holman has next for us.

    Podcast version of a hug
Tender, witty, relatable, and wholesome, this story is so needed at the present moment. Listened in 2 days and couldn’t help but want more. Highly recommend!

    Simply Perfect
Honestly, I can’t name a single thing wrong with this audio-drama; except maybe the fact that I can’t go back in time and relisten to it without knowing what happens!! Greenhouse is absolutely spectacular, and I recommend it to anyone and everyone! I binged the entire thing in one day after falling in love with it from the first episode. Incredible characters, plot, development... etc. I could go on forever listing everything I loved about it, but I’ll spare you and leave you with the knowledge that this podcast was simply perfect. (AND THE TITLE!! Greenhouse because Rose Green had to write letters to stay in the house, but also Greenhouse because Abby worked at a flower shop and I could be reading too much into this but it’s just so good!! Okay, actually done now.)

    Love.
Amazing storytelling. Great character development. Enchanting. Different, but done so well—makes other podcast dramas pale in comparison. I NEVER write reviews but I just had to for this gem.

A little show with a lot of heart
Calm, cozy, and thoroughly delightful from beginning to end. A feel good romance that also shines a spotlight on mental health. Alex Marshall-Brown and Helen Highfield bring these characters to life with so much heart. You won’t want to stop listening! This show is a wonderful antidote to 2020 stress. Thank you Atypical Artists for sharing this story with us!

This is such a lovely and chill series. It’s cute and heartfelt and I love A and Rose. Greenhouse is the anti-2020 mood.
