Mason Tibbets10 years in the trades and still fired up- thanks to this podcastI’ve been in the trades for over a decade. I’ve worked alongside some of the sharpest master techs out there, and I’ve seen firsthand how passion, discipline, and integrity can turn this job into a calling. But Waste No Day took it to another level for me. This podcast doesn’t just talk about technique — it lights a fire in your mindset. Every episode reminds me why I show up early, go the extra mile, and take pride in what I do. It’s not just about closing tickets or chasing sales… it’s about being the best version of yourself, every single day, no excuses. Whether you’re brand new to the trade or you’ve got a toolbag older than your apprentice, this show speaks directly to your soul. It’s real, it’s actionable, and it’s the kick in the pants we all need sometimes. Huge respect to Brian and Nate for putting this together. You’re not just changing careers — you’re changing lives.🔥🔥❄️❄️🛠️🔧🛠️ Keep it up, gents. You’ve got a lifelong listener here. -Mason Tibbets- Airflow therapist

Ckillian17Go Pro BabyBefore listening to this podcast I was averaging about 70,000 per month. I have put Brian’s training in practice which I’ve gathered over the course of approximately 17 different episodes. If you want to increase your average ticket by 50% like me take this podcast seriously. I believe Brian truly wants every technician to be successful and wants them to have a happy and balanced life. If you take this podcast seriously I can promise you that not only will your career improve but so will your at home life. Brian is giving you free training that is invaluable, use it to your advantage. Thank you to the Waste No Day Crew for helping me and many other technicians become a better version of ourselves

Mitchell CoatesThe show is pricelessAs a plumbing sales tech, this show has tremendously helped me stay in my disciplines and processes. Mr. McClellandHome servicesNate and Brian are the Beasts. I was a residential HVAC installer for 12 years before I moved over to the service side of the industry and I knew very little about how to close deals before listing to this podcast. When I went on my first ride along the waste no day podcast was highly recommended to me. After listening to Nate and Brian and their many guests that they bring onto the show for the past 6-8 months I can see why, I’ve learned how to meet customers where they are and how to close deals. My confidence as a HVAC technician has gone up substantially after listening to this show every working day. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone that is in the trades. -Harley from Wickstrom PHC in Meridian Idaho

R-410ayyyyyyGreat listen for new Technicians!I’ve been training to be an HVAC technician for a few months and next week is my first week on the road on my own. I got put onto this podcast from my trainers and it’s definitely a daily listen from now on! My biggest takeaways so far are to try and LISTEN more than talk, and listen to customers with genuine intent to help them. If you show that you care, the money will come. Thanks guys!!

Moyler3Amazing Valuable Content! This is hands-down the best podcast I’ve found for home service pros. I haven’t heard a single episode that didn’t give me something valuable I could apply right away. Appreciate all the insight you share and the work you put in—thank you!

Rent is killing me.Mandatory Listening For Home Service Pros!As a business owner who’s no longer in the field, I’m always looking for ways to invest in my team and sharpen my own leadership. Waste No Day is my no-miss podcast for exactly that reason. This show delivers tactical communication training that any home service pro can put into practice. I had the chance to see Brian speak live at an event and was blown away. He has a gift for teaching — slow, detailed, and incredibly clear. I am currently working my way back through every episode. That’s how impactful it’s been. I’m beyond excited to send my techs to the Waste No Day Bootcamp — and even though I’m no longer on the truck, I’ll be attending right alongside them. Why? Because the communication strategies Brian teaches are that valuable — not just for field work, but for the leadership team as well. This podcast is an investment in your team, your company, and yourself. Don’t skip it.

Duryea ElectricBest Home Services PodcastI’ve been listening for a little over a year and this is a long overdue review. Great show, great guests, great hosts. There is always something to take away from these shows and I am a better business owner and person as a result. Whether its communication skills, self worth, listening, or leadership the topics are all relevant and immediately useful. The interviews are high level: Brian and Nate ask great questions, let the guests speak and know when to step back and make the guest the star of the show. The weekly quote has inspired me to start a quote board at our shop and, more often than not, I’m stealing the one from the show. I’m also grateful for Brian’s reminders to take care of my body and Nate’s reminders to take care of my family. Thank you and keep it up. Favorite episode: 2/24/25 David JP Phillips

Michael Iasimone10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️’sI have been listening to Waste No Day for a few years now. Brian and Nate are freaking awesome. My mindset has shifted dramatically. I use to be shy and scared of what the customer is thinking and what objections I’m about to encounter every time I was walking up to a door. Now thanks to Brian and even Nate 😜 I have never felt more comfortable in somebody’s home. I now have my team listening to the podcast and they love it. We go over key points they learned from each podcast weekly. We also join in with Wiser Wednesday. If you are not listening to this podcast, you are wasting your day. Thank you, Brian and Nate for what you do and what you bring to the home service community.

Robby11398Rob J - Go Green NCBeen watching for a year and a half now since beginning to specialize in HVAC, the information I’ve learned from some of these episodes ESPECIALLY WITH SCOTT MANN, as been absolutely incredible in changing the way I run my service calls, and view my own career. Absolutely an amazing way to start your week on the way to your first call on Mondays and definitely has shifted my windset. I can’t thank Brian and Nate enough

Wyatt G - new HVAC creatorA must listen to podcast! With listing to this podcast for just a few months, it has opened up my mind to a whole new way to tackle business and the home service industry that I’m in (HVAC). As a recently new business start up of my own hvac company as of 2024, I feel this has been the tracks to lead me in the direction that I’m desiring to go starting from scratch and going forward. One of my most favorite things that has been said on this podcast is “there are so many that have a side hustle and not a business.” This thought made the process of starting a HVAC business less daunting even when the market seems to be so saturated in the area I am in, because even though there is a lot of competition that doesn’t mean you can’t out do them with your process. I could go on about all the amazing strategies that have been provided and proven to work for those who just listen. From personal and professional growth, to processes, strategies, sales tactics and budgets but the best way to learn about those things are to just listen yourself. One could write several books with the amount of free knowledge that they offer to those who actually listen and I personally thank all the guys who’ve been on this podcast for helping me personally grow. The NixonatorSo good! Thank youFor 11 years in the plumbing trade I have, frankly, gotten tired of feeling like I’m the only tech in my company that cares. That wants to grow and get better. I have BEGGED employers to train me, the just give me a few more tools in the communication and sales aspect to take me to the next level. But for some reason they seem to not care and are fine with mediocre because I’ve been “at the top.” They focus so much attention on the other techs not caring and sometimes not even showing up. Waste No Day has given me much more than any employer had yet offered. And made me not feel so alone. That there are so many awesome tradesman out there killing it AND upping their game continually. The community is priceless. Good news! I got in contact with Brian and now work for him in Phoenix! Just started and I am so freakin excited to get uncomfortable with my old communication habits and learn much better ones directly from him and my co-workers he’s trained! I look forward to when I can join a boot camp and keep on growing! Thank you waste no day for this new glimmer of hope in my career and the beginning of my next phase of life.

Bill CavanaghWaste no day !The Waste No Day podcast consistently delivers valuable insights, and this episode was no exception. The conversation with Logan Altland was packed with actionable advice on handling customer objections, optimizing service calls, and mastering the mindset of a high-performing electrician. Whether you’re an apprentice or a seasoned pro, this episode is a great reminder that success in the trades is about more than just technical skills—it’s about communication, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Highly recommend! Plumbers and HVAC workers need a Hero ! .. Electrician Logan Altland !!

MIchaelm600Great adviceThank you for this podcast. I have learned and put into practice so many of the tips and techniques from your lessons. I especially enjoyed from stress to yes. Question what is the best response to a tip? I got a $43 tip for an $800 job and I said thank you for the tip. The guy looked at me weird. Do you have any suggestions on if I should or should not mention the tip? Thanks Michael M - WSNC Plumber

Billy the Door GuyJust what the dr orderedI own a door company. We install entry and patio doors. Even though most of what is discussed here is about the “big 3” trades, the principles are timeless. I listen to 5-10 podcasts a week and this one is always one of them. So much value every week. I really appreciate you guys!
-
Jay.CarrFresh actionable content! It has been said that you first lose big. Then you lose small. Then you win small. Then you win big. Brian and Nate help you shorten the time between stages . Their guests offer fresh actionable content that can be immediately implemented. One of our techs listened for the first time, and he went out and sold 3 units that week.

ECHUTACONQUESOMobile MentorshipFantastic source of information and inspiration. This last year was my first in sales (sewers specifically), and this podcast is the closest thing I had to consistent mentorship in that time period. I grossed $2.6 million in ‘24 and expect to break $3 million this year. I owe so much to this podcast’s content and their emphasis on self study/self development. It only gets better from here! Thank you, Nate and Brian!

SouthernvalueschrisNo guru garbage hearIn a home service industry world full of everybody being gurus and most of them not knowing what they’re talking about. It’s nice to find a place with meaningful actionable education on a regular basis. I am officially one of the dozen listeners.

LukeS87Can you really learn from a plumber?“Man, these guys are the real deal. Every episode feels like sittin’ on the porch with a couple of wise friends who truly understand the grind of running a home service company. They’re honest, practical, and always sharing ideas that actually work. Now, I know what you’re thinking: ‘Brian’s a plumber—bless his heart. Can I really learn wisdom from one of them?’ (Let’s be real, we all know electricians are at the top of the food chain.) But trust me, this podcast is a must for anyone in the trades who wants to grow their business and have a good laugh while doin’ it.”
-
Douglas OakesPretty good for a Michigan fanIt’s super hard for me to complement a vocal supporter of the Wolverines, but Brian and Nate have a pretty great thing going with this podcast! I met Brian at a Clover Mastermind event in September. He’s as genuine as they come. I was excited to find out about the podcast and started tuning in right away. The content is super practical. I’ve shared several episodes with my team and encourage them to subscribe and invest some time in their education. Well done, you two! #alwaysabuckeye
