    Best Witchcraft Podcast
I am a relatively new witch and am on a path of discovery and education. I cannot express how helpful and delightful this podcast is. I have learned so much already and I haven’t listened to every episode yet. The hosts are so wonderful and I have bought both of their books and am thoroughly enjoying them. Amazing show if you want to expand your knowledge on various witchcraft practices, and ethical ways to give respect to various traditions. Love. Love. Love.

    Magical Gatekeeping
I listened to one episode on self-protection and was put off by the gatekeeping and judgment dripping from the hosts.

    Good podcast
Overall enjoyable and pleasant podcast. Can we please stop saying ‘and what not’ at the end of every other sentence ?(I am only half way through the episodes- maybe it improves?)

    Super informative
Love this podcast! The hosts offer a wealth of authentic information.

    Finally!
I have been searching for a non-Wiccan podcast for so long! This is so informative <3

    Perfection!
There is a lot of new perspectives and information for me to greedily absorb. The hosts have a great rapport and I am enjoying it immensely. Bless you both ♥️

    An excellent witchy podcast!
The strongest point about this podcast is how open and respectful the hosts are. I love their explanations, insight and personal stories. The guests are always informative and interesting. Overall, if folk magic and witchcraft are your cup of tea, try this podcast!

Thank you for the great content!

    Not of the ancients
First and foremost, if you cant complete a sentence without using the word "like" three times, that in and of itself throws a red flag. Then the very first two minutes of the first podcast I listen too you get political, and of all things left wing. This is a disgrace to the arts. I would consider seeking truths of the gods before spewing lies of Dolos and Apate. An unbalanced scale yeilds no value.

    Love this podcast
I have been getting into witchcraft, as a previous Christian who is now agnostic this podcast has helped me learn more about witchcraft. I would love to have more episodes for people who are beginners

    The best folk magic podcast.
I don’t understand the low ratings from people. This is easily the best and most informative podcast out there for people who aren't wiccans.

Almost done with all the episodes!
They are funny and knowledgeable. Thanks for helping us out with this content!!! Amazing

    So good!
I’m starting from the beginning and loving it! I love witches with a sense of humor who are also so knowledgeable!

    Love of variety
I love the variety of subjects in this podcast. J Allen and Britton are great! I especially love “and whatnot”. I know others have complained about it, but I love it as it was something the ladies of my grandmothers’ generation said all the time.

My husband and I love this podcast!!
I feel guilty listening without him lol. You guys are great! Thanks so much for all the knowledge!

    Amazing podcast!
Love this podcast and both of its host. Would love to see more people of other cultures and POC as guests!

    Love this podcast so much!
The hosts are wonderful and they approach folk magic with a common sense and open approach.
  • Bryan and Andy
    They are Christian supremacist
They continually contradict themselves and constantly speak reverence to chrstianity. And often bring up catholicism with out speaking to its crimes. They are irresponsible christians appropriating Witch culture. Btw I have listened to every episode, and what not.

    Great hosts
Loving this pod—I am learning so much!

    Wanted to like this
Listened for the first handful of podcasts. I really wanted to like this. The folks seem knowledgeable, but I just couldn’t get past their hard left politics and preachiness.
  • Abram210
Okay but often Socially Tone deaf
While the hosts themselves are knowledgeable and pleasant to listen to, they do share moments through this podcasts of social tone deafness. Their most recent guest Peter Michael Bauer cemented this by the hosts agreeing that 1) college is a waste of time 2) cultural appropriation is part of a cancel culture agenda 3) a denial of American culture’s relationship to whiteness and white supremacy. Based on J. Allen Crosses previous responses to controversy from the Mexican-American community upon his book’s release it seems the hosts tend not to respond well to criticism or hope to nip controversy in the bud. Sad considering one of the hosts attempts to speak for a minority community in the United States. Witchcraft is nothing without a bit of heresy, but to have a guest on with no formal training in academia (who self identifies as a “historian, anthropologist, and experimental archaeologist” with no credentials) it feels safe to warrant a comment apprehension/warning for future listeners. As any sane person will tell you, they are entitled to opinions and perspectives of their own. But by having a well recognized and influential platform within the community it feels that these hosts leave something to be desired in sociological education.

Best witchy podcast I’ve listened to!
So many podcast I have listened to are not very genuinely and are all about promoting themselves. When I listen to Britton and J, I can just feel their amazing energy and learn so much from them. I am always going back and listening again and writing down notes from every episode. I look forward to next episodes every week and listening to their stories from past experiences. Keep up the amazing work! Sending peace, love, and infinite blessings.
  • Rachelelainetucker
Look forward to each new episode
The hosts are so knowledgeable and down to earth! I feel like each episode I get to spend time with friends, learn something (usually many things) new, and feel witchy all at the same time! Love it!
  • BayouChick69
    Great for everyone
The hosts are spirited and down to earth. As someone who is older but fairly new to the witch life, I find details in the episodes easy to follow and fun. The opening music is good too.

    Want more witchcraft
I loved this podcast when they actually talked about witchcraft. It feels like lately this podcast has become about commenting on social media. They repeat the same stuff over and over about discernment and boundaries *every* episode *at length* even though they have whole episodes dedicated to just those topics. It's really frustrating to listen to. I think the hosts should take a long break from social media themselves because they clearly have trouble taking their mind off it.

    So much to learn
These two get me to and from work on the daily. Love that there’s always something to learn.

    My new favorite podcast!
Listening to the conversations between Britton and J. Allen is both entertaining and educating. I feel like I am sitting at a table with friends, enjoying the conversation while drinking my coffee. I appreciate and respect their guidance and opinions since they are each so genuine when talking about their own practices and their lives as witches. I hope this podcast becomes even more successful and stays with us for a long time.

    Amazing hosts!
So.. I was looking for witchy podcasts to listen because I am alone in my craft. It’s nice to hear other peoples views and experiences. The first episode I listened to was #defendoccultbooks and just know I am hear to stay! I have gone back and started to listen from the beginning. This podcast has information and experiences from the hosts. I found myself laughing multiple times in both episodes I have listened to. One of the best witchy podcasts I have found!
  • JessMvrie
Best Folk Magic Podcast EVER 🥰
I have been listening non stop for a while now. I’ve repeated a few episodes and even meditated while listening! So informative. J and Britton’s conversation mesh so seamlessly. It’s really a smooth listen.

2 episodes and I am hooked!
I listened to 2 episodes today - dollar store magic and shoe magic- and I am hooked! The shoe magic was so exciting! I learned so many new things! Ty Britton and J!!!

    Solid, resourceful, great guests, entertaining
Pleasantly surprised by this podcast and it’s now one of my favorites! They are a great team with focus on people doing the work and education which is imperative in our community. The guests have been great so far, love the personal stories (the non human human stories…!), the acceptance, and willingness to get weird. Keep up the great work!!! ❤️✌🏼💡

    Authentic
I absolutely love this podcast. It’s beginner friendly & very entertaining. I have not found a similar podcast like this one yet. They definitely know what they’re talking about, other podcast leave me scratching my head. I find them to be genuine & experienced. I listen to this podcast when I’m not feeling music. I really wish i hadn’t gone through them so fast! I really appreciate this podcast. Highly recommend!!

    A True Blessing
Very VERY much needed and medicinal to the folk witch soul. So grateful for this channel 🌙🖤
  • Palomamamamamama
    one of the best!!
this podcast feels very balanced in the subjects, and the hosts are very inclusive. i think there’s a good mix of talk about folk magic, small amounts of ceremonial magic talk, talk of magic from other cultures and so on. can’t wait for more episodes!!
  • Star Desires
    Addictive, informative and fun!
Already sucked in. I’ve been practicing and studying for around 27 years, and still find every story and suggestion interesting, informative and inspiring. I love the 2 different perspectives. There’s always more to learn or gain inspiration from. One of the most addictive podcasts I’ve come across that gives different perspectives, topics are tackled very in depth and easy to follow, and their personalities add so much to each episode. I enjoy hearing the personal experiences, too. Definitely not a fan of leaving reviews, but credits due where it’s due. I love it! I hope this podcast continues and will definitely be a supporter! I would recommend to anyone - new or experienced.

    Best podcast by far!
My favorite podcast by far!! I just started listening about a week ago and I’m almost done with every single episode! I’ve searched far and wide for a podcast I can relate to, easy to listen to, and all about my favorite things. Until I found this one, I thought my expectations must be too high or I just couldn’t get into the podcast thing…maybe it just wasn’t for me. But I was so wrong!! Britton and J are great, I absolutely love them! Thanks so much for giving me exactly what I’ve been looking for!
  • Smellis Ellis
    Yes please!
Love this podcast! I anticipate episode releases and when I see one I celebrate and immediately make time to listen. Thank you for your openness to make these ideals and expression more accessible.

    GORGEOUS
I’ve listened to one episode, and I’m in love! I’m a super, super, super beginner. I appreciate how accessible this is and how gracious the hosts are for the newbies, but also incredibly knowledgeable.

    So far,
I’ve listened only to episode 14, but finding out out Britton is in AA, like myself, has made me stick. I look forward to hearing how her magick and recovery work together! Also Jay makes me laugh. I’ll rate again once I listen to more
  • Cullensboy92
    More from Britton
Jay you’re great, we all know you’re knowledgeable, but this podcast is very Jay based, we need more from Britton, let the woman talk, let her share.

    Love this podcast
One of..if not my favorite witchcraft podcasts! I listen to this podcast to and from my commute and it keeps me awake and so engaged with everything their sharing. I have learned so so so much from listening to them, their personal stories are really exciting to hear and overall they are just really positive and uplifting to listen to. I’ve listened to MANY other witchcraft podcasts that are such a bummer & gatekeep & complain about everything. You won’t get that here. Also, I have never ordered anything from a podcast until now. I ordered “American Brujeria”. I figured if they can pack so much punch into one podcast episode, there is probably SO MUCH more info in this book. Looking forward to reading it! Keep it up guys!!!

    An incredibly solid resource.
J and Britton bring a solid base and deeply respectful approach to this podcast. One my very favorite finds in the world of magical/witchy content.
  • Miss never using foap again
Educational and One of a kind
This is one of my favorite podcasts! The topics are interesting and you can tell the hosts are knowledgeable and give honest takes on a wide verity of topics. Always enjoyable, a little spooky, and my first pick to listen to.

Only Witch Podcast That Hasn’t Made Me Cringe
I appreciate that the hosts of this podcast maintain a humble and respectful approach to witchcraft while also expressing the necessity for method and understanding. As an Indigenous, non-binary, queer person I appreciate the representation (even if it’s rather mild). I definitely hope that one day they’ll have some Native kin on the podcast. I grew up with Chahta (Choctaw) myths and medicines and it’s always so interesting to hear the parallels between our deities and those of other parts of the world (especially since ours were largely destroyed/eradicated). Yakoke!

    Unpretentious and grounded
Britton and Jay present this information in such a grounded and unpretentious way. They are very authentic and have a genuine curiosity about each other’s experiences. As an air sign and a vata (go figure)I tend to be the opposite of grounded so I need direct, down to earth information so that it doesn’t float away on the winds of my Gemini nature. Thanks for keeping this work on the earth- Angelica
  • JustinJauss
    Practical, relevant, real.
This podcast takes topics that can seem intimidating at first but breaks them down to practical levels. The information is relevant to the current state of witchcraft and to every day life. It’s not fluffy fru fru stuff, it’s real nitty gritty folk magic.
  • Branddyw
    Great information
I absolutely love this podcast and the coven as well. Great info, in an open and friendly manner. Like listening to well versed friends who aren’t afraid to keep it real.
