Listens2YrsB4ReviewingGalFrom a Catholic mental health professional- this podcast is 💯💯💯This podcast does a WONDERFUL job of finding the difficult balance of compassion & truth. I love the nuance and sensitivity Dr. Greg brings to issues while staying steadfast and grounded in truth. Thank you for your hard work in growing and educating in the important integration between mental health and relationship with God. Maybe someday you’ll have a job opening I’d be a good fit for 🤪 In the meantime I’ll keep listening and recommending the podcast to others! God bless!

Walj.EN. WaljWonderful podcast. My husband and I listen together in the car. Dr. Bottaro is fantastic.

JMsgirl20Speaking Catholic truth like no other podcastThis is by far the most useful and fully integrated Catholic podcast available right now. Dr Bottaro is measured, compassionate, and faithful to the teachings of the Catholic Church. Furthermore, he gives an authentically Catholic vision of HOPE for the world we are in, rather than just identifying the problems and leaving people in fear. I look forward to the podcast every week!

dlrmbGreat job!Thank you for addressing gender and the current culture issues!! Keep going! We need the Catholic perspective.

Teacher&DadNot okYes this made me quite sick to hear your support of this practice, which breaks the first commandment. You actually supported a woman praying to Jesus while in a pose CREATED for the worship of other spirits which is the actual origin of the practice. While she is wearing spandex with her bum in the air? Wonder why we have so much insanity and sexual deviance happening in society? I wouldn’t want your advice on anything because your discernment is seriously questionable. Yoga means yoke and you are yoking yourself to another spirit, other than our Savior. You cannot serve another God.

brncexnemexrThis is such a great podcastThank you for making these episodes. I really feel like they are spirit led and exactly what I need to hear🙏🏾 Blessings to your podcast and ministry🙏🏾
-
nooskisIncredibly hurtful and misleadingThis messaging is incredibly hurtful and misleading. To quote the description of an episode, “distinguishing the need for therapy versus a need to learn how to trust god more”. Therapy should always be your first option. Prayer cannot heal trauma. Telling someone to learn to “trust god more” is gaslighting.

reel.alexandraJust keeps getting better! One of my favorite podcasts and it seems to get better with each episode. The interview with Dr. Jennifer E. Morel was exactly the podcast I’ve always wanted to hear! We still have so very much to discover about human identity in this life-long journey to learn more fully what it means to be human. And we’re all on that journey together, I can’t think of any adventure more thrilling!
-
buffalo catholic#106: The Psychology of the IncarnationGreat understanding of the meaning of life through Frankl’s insights: similar to Kennedy’s “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what can you do for your country”… only better because the implications are supernatural.
-
Struggling CatholicEp100Thank you for having Dr. Ray as your guest. This episode hit very close to home.

sabrown721First episode and I’m looking forward to many moreI first discovered Dr. Bottaro through his book on mindfulness. I was searching for a therapist and was in a stage in my life where I was just beginning to realize the deep, inseparable connection of body-mind-spirit and wondering why there aren’t more therapists who identify themselves openly as Catholic. This is my first episode of Being Human (74) and I am so very appreciative of Dr. Bottaro’s dedication and humility to speak against the politicization of our mental health and compassionately offer a better way.
-
VascproLife givingAs a revert to the Catholic faith who struggles with anxiety, depression, and scrupulosity, Dr Bottaro helps me understand the faith a little more and how to not be so ashamed of my humanness. Thank God for you, Dr Greg

Brainrain42Finally6/5/2022 Just wanted to say the DSM episodes starting with 72 are fantastic. Pray that therapists who truly care about people will stand their ground. Thank you. I've just started reading about and listening to your podcasts and resources on your website. It is beautiful to see our faith as the cornerstone of mental, emotional, and relationship health and healing. Thank you for your ministry and this is absolutely a ministry.
-
T-commuteGreat perspectiveIt’s so refreshing to hear a Catholic viewpoint on these topics!
-
ALDudleyEpisode 70:The Feminine GeniusGreat episode. I can’t wait to get the book and read it. I love that the conversation moved from the feminine genius to complementarity, both/and. I would love to hear more about how our differences seen through the lense of gift can bring unity instead of division.
-
Elsie C.Useful Reflections for our Brains and SpiritGreat podcast that incorporates psychology-based understanding for our human brains and spiritual reflections for our soul which lead to what we need for our overall well-being. The episodes are just the right length for a quick listen and the topics are varied but connected through the thread of our Catholic faith.

BE L0V3One of my favorites!I love the insights of this podcast. I am intrigued by the IDDM model, and diving into the nitty gritty of navigating the messy parts of being human all through the lens of a Catholic anthropology. Keep doing the good work!

FloodProneI am BackA few years ago I took your initial Catholic Mindfulness course and loved it. I drifted away (so human of me!). I am now listening to your podcasts and have recently downloaded the integrated app. So good. This morning I listened to episode #47 and felt you were talking directly to me.
-
MonieTinoAmazing podcastAs an Emergency Room Nurse and someone deeply in my Catholic faith, I can’t recommend this podcast enough! The deeper understanding of mental health and Catholic spirituality of Dr. Butaro is very valuable for anyone who desires to not only finding healing but also better understanding of the human person and how we can live better. I highly recommend

MissCarmen9Eye opening and humblingI have a college education and remember taking 2 different psychology classes with one being abnormal psychology. The latter class mention was definitely interesting. While, I enjoyed said class immensely. I felt there was a human level approach missing. Dr. Greg does an incredible job distinguishing the reality vs culture reality(unrealistic). I’m so happy there is a faith approach to mental health since there is so much stigma with the topic within the church. Listening to a few topics, I’m humbled Realizing many people in my life struggle and I’ve never noticed. But he slowly provides so many ways to learn different approaches.

Fr Joseph 4603Catholic and up to dateFinally someone put together Catholic anthropology and modern science without apology.
-
BMJ 2021Very Insightful Podcast!I love hearing Dr. Greg break down CPI’s new mentorship model. This podcast provides great insights into how to incorporate phycology and our Catholic faith into daily life and the nonstop journey to becoming the best versions of ourselves.

Lil elf helperBEING HUMAN MADE IN THE IMAGE OF GODMay the Holy Spirit continue to Bless you! Thank you for the awareness of so many topics that have never been discussed at all and especially from a true Catholic perspective.
-

Snuffy aParents Fault?I appreciated this podcast. It really helped me to look more objectively at the recent understanding I have received about my family of origin over the last few years. The balance and integration of the material in this podcast was very healing.
-
SmardiieJust discovered this great podcast!Very well produced and informative. Looking forward to more episodes!
-
chocoholiclover101So fascinating and helpful!I appreciate so much what Dr. Greg is doing here. I love the idea of learning about what’s behind actions and perceptions, so that I can better understand myself and others. I also appreciate that he isn’t the Catholic type to just say “offer it up” when someone becomes vulnerable with him, or to say “just pray about it”. Because usually if someone is bothering to speak up, they want someone to listen. So I love that he takes these into account and tries to help all of us to deal with our mind, body, and soul as one!
-
kax4What the world needs!Dr. Greg breaks down the Who, Why, What and How in all regards to BEING HUMAN like no other in the Catholic or Psychological world today. This knowledge is a must in understanding that we are truly loved, safe and meant for flourishing!
-
Bedazzle hip hop jonesClear, concise content!!!Thank you so much for delivering your message clearly and concisely! So many podcasts these days are so long and filled with way too much chit chat! I have your book Catholic mindfulness and have enjoyed some of your courses but this was such a quick way to tune in to the great stuff that you have to share!!!

-
.ljdarleneI’ve been waiting for ...This perspective from psychology! Thank you for these interesting and informative poscasts! Blessings!
-
Kaitlin925WowI am so intrigued by this new podcast. Cannot wait to see where this goes.
-
Sweet tootsiePhenomenal PodcastI appreciate Dr. Bottaro’s firm stance on integrating faith in therapy. The world is broken and so is secular psychology. Secular psychology seems to miss out on seeing the human as a whole, both body and soul removing the soul out of the equation. Dr. Bottaro explains the reality of the therapeutic world in a clear cut unsugar-coated way. I am excited to hear more of this.
-
ruthieleekRefreshing Biblical ViewpointI’m only 2 episodes in, but so far this has been a wonderful find. Easy to follow and understand, and refreshing to hear men and women in the church speaking truth through other professions and vocations . He hits the nail on the head about some of the common misconceptions and/ or assumptions that have held us back or caused harm to our mental and spiritual health as a country, a world, and the Body of Christ.
-
Peekskill AudreyAwesome podcast! It’s easy to see how Dr Greg allows himself to be led by the Holy Spirit, not content with the status quo—he’s blowing up the field of psychotherapy with Jesus as his guide and with a real care for those he serves. The podcast reveals his joyful enthusiasm for this work and for the real belief that God is ALIVE and PRESENT and IN LOVE with us. His willingness to be led, even to places that might prove challenging, is inspirational. This podcast will be a great source of healing for many as together we learn what it truly means to BE HUMAN.
