Meh 163737586492648The host’s voice is so gratingIt is interesting to get the perspective of the genocidaires, but the host’s voice is so grating.

iCentaur.comWhat shall set us free?Ultimately the real answer to peace in the Holy Land is what kind of governance is best for the diverse groups of the region primarily Israeli Jews and Muslim Palestinians. The answer? Ask Israeli Palestinians. All people wish to be free and prosperous. Extremism is always the enemy of peace. The Lord of Hosts. Should be the Lord of Irony.

john987654321123Information GreatThank you for covering this. I wish I knew about this earlier. Someone mentioned it on X yesterday. Love to hear the latest.

bruce LevinBret Stevens DEIAs a long-time listener I was very disappointed to hear Bret Stevens expound on DEI. Regardless of my own views I thought that this was a very skewed anti-DEI guest who made several inaccurate and biased comments. If you had a guest along with Bret to present countervailing points of view then this would have been fine. Furthermore I did not see a real point to this aspect of the interview. I know TOI can and usually does better.

not happy psss offVery left biasAlways need to blame the “right”? Always have some slant. Not very balanced reporting or commentary/opinions.

BreeSpree3Interview with Bret Stephens is an embarrassmentThis is a typically a solid source for news in Israel; I listen almost every day. However, bringing a conservative to misinform you about DEI is intellectually dishonest shanda. I’m sure you could find a Jewish expert in DEI, but you chose a political writer and gave him a platform to display his ignorance and treated it like an education for the host and listeners. I had not expected Times of Israel to be this far right leaning. Is this the new direction?

Hard of hearing 101Balanced newsRepresenting a very balanced view on Israel news and the ongoing war

MrsBloom21Interesting, informative, timelyI absolutely love this daily podcast of highlights from The Times of Israel. I love hearing about how most Israelis are feeling about their current events. And I feel knowledgeable and up to date as long as I don’t miss an episode! Highly recommend!
-
chile100Dedicated team of reporters!Thank you all for your untiring efforts in bringing your war reporting to us every day. It’s my first listen of the morning. However, your PM’s visit and address to a divided congress in a divided nation was not good for America, it was a self serving stunt for domestic Israeli politics. Please don’t glorify it as a success.

JMcwashTruthful unbiased reportingAfter October 7, 2023 I searched for an Israeli news station or podcast where I could listen to smart, unbiased reporting on what was actually going on in Israel and Gaza. The American news seemed confusing and frankly anti-Israel. After browsing many different podcasts, I found the Daily Briefing from TOI. I love Amanda and Jessica and their guests - they are so truthful and close to home with honest reporting straight from the heart, but most importantly I trust their FACTS! I have not missed an episode since day 20 of the war when I started listening, thank you! A proud Irish American Catholic Zionist 💙

SFPerspectiveGenuine Journalism About IsraelExceptionally valuable perspective about the critical events and trends in Israel. A refreshing antidote to US-based coverage reflective of other agendas which obfuscate the actual issues that Israel is navigating.
-
Lee ShmoaExceptionalIn the aftermath horrific attacks of October 7, I was seeking a news source to provide timely, reliable and on-the-ground reporting in a digestible and non-sensational medium. The Times of Israel Daily Briefing has kept me informed while staying sane for the past eight months and I have scarcely missed an episode in that time. Thank you Amanda and Jessica for hosting and to the plethora of contributors covering this chaotic period of the State of Israel, the Jewish people and the world.

evjdAnswering QuestionsThank you for your timely reporting! Can your paper answer a question about Hamas tunnels? How do they maintain air quality for 250 miles of tunnels over 25 feet deep? There must be air generators above ground???? Otherwise I seriously question the health of any hostages.Thank you and report safely. Another tunnel question If the tunnels are destroyed, Hamas has no place in Rafah or Gaza to hide. Why haven’t all possible means been taken to destroy them? Thanks for your reporting on a daily basis.

tadu126YikesReferring to extremists terrorist Israelis halting aid as “activists” yikes. And the other host giggling about giving a ride to these aid blocking terrorists was also quite vile.

all he ffcgyvvfGreat pod. Annoying host. This is a well produced and consistently interesting pod. Unfortunately, the host, Amanda borschel dan, is the most annoying person imaginable. Her accent, whether in English or Hebrew, is always exaggerated and in flux. I had to stop listening when she is the host. Such a shame.

mushlessDay 206 Interview (April 29, 2024)The interview today with Haviv Rettig Gur was the best and most level-headed explanation and look at the US protests and Israel's current outlook that I have heard from any news source. This needs to be heard widely. Thank you from an American!
-
FrancesLMGreat podGreat podcast. For the editors - the placement of the first add throws me off and it’s difficult to bring my focus back. Why not open with the news and put the adds a little later in the episode. Secondly, the sound in the beginning of the episode is very loud when wearing AirPods..
-
Prolly gunna play foreverMisinformationThis news agency is ripe with misinformation and false claims about Palestinians. They never acknowledge the deaths from iof violence. They have an AD that implies Palestinian children are terrorists.
-
Karma from tik TokPointlessWhat a waste of time, they don’t know what they are talking about! These people should not be making podcast spreading false information. Half of the time they are lying, they should be educated first.

October 13 2023Rachel Goldberg PolinThank you for the informative and heartfelt episode with Rachel Goldberg Polin and Jon Polin. Their story while completely heartbreaking is also strengthening. Hersh is such a lucky young man to have such smart, sensitive wise parents who are fighting the battle every day for his return. listening to them makes me a better parent and a better human. May g-d hear our prayers and return the hostages

Salt 2.0 OwnerGreat alternative viewI try to get my news from multiple sources with deep knowledge so I can form my own opinions on geo politics. This pod gives me the Israel centric view versus American news outlets.
-
RichardMLTThank youI listen to this every day. It is a great source of information about what is going on in Israel. The recent discussion with Dr. Micah Goodman was very enlightening and his discussion regarding hybrid / homogeneous Israeli's made me think this understanding could be applied to other western countries/ cultures.
-
Lalaland35This is the MSNBC of Israel - be forewarnedIt’s too bad this podcast has got such a woke and liberal bent. I just want facts and they continue to push woke agenda. I still listen so that I can find the few bits and bobs of “info” that help this Jew in the diaspora to learn what is going on with the war.

Auron RenouilleUsed to appreciate it.Of late it’s felt largely like editorializing. The publication is a vehicle for David Horovitz’s personal views so I’ve always read and listened knowing that I need to understand their reporting through that lens. In recent weeks, despite seemingly confidently reporting about international goings-on, I’m fearful that they don’t understand what’s going on in the world. I think that they don’t see, or don’t want to see, that this is a very frightening time for Israel and that they are at risk of losing their last major ally in the US. For the past few days they’ve described a speech by a pro-Israel Democrat as a “howler” (?) and, anytime any political leader criticizes Netanyahu, Horovitz and Lazar Berman breathlessly insist that they’re in the minority. Folks, there is never a “silent majority” hiding their views from pollsters. I don’t understand what they’re doing. Is it wishcasting? Do they sincerely believe what they’re saying? Either way, it’s gone from venting to being willfully untruthful. I understand venting; these are horrible, scary times for Israel and Jewish folks worldwide, I’m living it here in the US. But willfully untruthful? I won’t continue listening to reporting that is more wish fulfillment than it is accurate. :(

StovesizeAmandas voiceAmandas voice and accent nearly ruins the podcast. I have no idea what accent that is but her voice and accent are grating. Otherwise the podcast is a wealth of information. But please, replace her with someone else.

Zork127FantasticGreat, level headed reporting. Great coverage of the war.

George_____111Generally very goodDymamic and engaging, well-produced podcast. I don't love Amanda Borschel as host, while Jessica Steinberg is excellent. Love Haviv Rettig Gur and Gavriel Fiske's participations, among many others. Other guests (David Horovitz and Lazer Berman come to mind) are too biased to provide useful insights.
-
Docjim1961Episode153I love this show. I just wanted to say, as an American Jew, that David’s comments about being Jewish in America now were spot on!! Keep up the great work

Fern RMy favorite Israel podcastLet me tell you how much I love this podcast. Not only do I listen to each episode (usually multiple times), I read the linked articles, AND I even resist skipping ahead through the ads. I want to make sure I give my attention to the folks financially supporting this important information. Keep up the good work, Times of Israel!

Professor R. HinkleyLove from Long Island, NYSince October 7 I have not missed one episode. The TOI Daily Briefing is a real pleasure to listen to, and each host brings companionship and cheer to your day. They are all great and their commentary reveals the perspectives of the center left of Israeli society. I know that it is likely tough and stressful for the hosts to be airing these every day, even during the war, and I hope they know that their briefing has brightened my day. I always anticipate the briefing and I hope the hosts are safe and well in these times. Keep up the good work!

dayenu82Incredible!The reporting here is excellent, and the turnaround (events of the day—-> podcast) is absolutely incredible. This is my go-to and I never let a day pass without listening in.

StkantoAmazing reportingEvery day I understand what is happening in Israel better thanks to David Horovitz and his excellent staff.
-
Alan0I have to listen to The Times of Israel Daily Briefing EVERY DAY!Re: 7 Jan 24 Daily Briefing - Todah rabah for such a comprehensive report on today’s Daily Briefing events in the South…how displaced residents are being impacted, attempts by the government to give them support and some of the challenges. Lazar’s report was especially specific and helped me appreciate almost-firsthand that he experienced when he visited the communities in the South.
-
MimienycFalse info re: American PoliticsGood podcast. If you can get past Amanda’s annoying way of speaking and pronouncing “out” and “about”. I think it was podcast on Sept 14th where I couldn’t believe I heard someone actually say that democrats “took their time” in naming a SCOTUS replacement in an election year while Republicans rushed one in 10 days before election. The democrats didn't take their time, they were BLOCKED by Mitch McConnell, the Republican majority leader in the senate. He REFUSED to allow a SCOTUS nomination in the senate. This is very basic and known fact that a simple google search would have cleared up. I don’t understand how such an ignorant comment could be allowed to be said on this podcast.

DareBoBearhopelessly slantedThey get a star for being "there," as many of us clamor for Israel news after Oct 7th. But this is a hopelessly biased outfit. Think MSNBC, only more so. They are so pervasively slanted to the left (whatever "left" means in any given year), that you really start questioning the accuracy of all reports. As an example, the "reporters" will routinely (and i mean routinely) just blithely state things like, "Of course we have a government of extremists.." (They hate Bibi).. as if there aren't two sides to things. As if a pluarality of their country didn't vote for the man! For the most part, these aren't REPORTERS, they are ACTIVISTS. The problem, in Israel as in the US, is that bright-eyed and coddled young college students, freshly bathed in DEI and antiracism and CRT and microaggressions and safe spaces and LGBTQIABCLMNOP-plus, are no longer drawn to journalism as a job per se.. they are drawn to it as a means of making the world a better place.. as defined by them of course. The Western world is reaping what it has sown these past couple decades at its Institutions of Higher Indoctrination. These people, these "reporters".. they are truly children grown tall. I just marvel at some of these long "reports" which are really just activist screeds.. going on and on about what is wrong with the world, and how the believe (how they KNOW!) things need to change. I honestly believe that many of these "reporters" are so deeply immersed in their political echo chambers that they don't even have the ability to consider that they might be IN one! Finally, and I kinda hate to do this, the voice of the primary host Amanda is nothing short of horrific. I understand she is speaking English as a second language, and I empathize with that. But she sounds as if she learned it from a special-ed Minnesotan. (I know that's weird, and perhaps unfair, but both those angles are pronounced and obvious.) Worse, she's one of those virtuous people that wants to always be talking with a smile. This is particularly grating after the events of Oct 7th. Listen for the info if you want.. but know what you're getting.

Grammer yes, rest of book UghToo much stammering these days. This is one of the best podcasts about Israel. But each day the guests come less and less prepared to speak on the radio. PLEASE force them to prepare their statements before recording the podcast. It’s painful. I now skip over several reporters’ stories with all the “Uhh…Ummmm…RepeatRepeat.”
