I specialize in hair removal with the exception of the first two years of my career which I WAS some skin care. I am having a strong a pull to start getting back in skincare I’m totally lost. I don’t remember if you offer a way to contact you? So….where you think I should start with training and where the best place to buy skincare equipment? Thank you so much guys. Even after being an esthi for 15 years, it’s still great to hear tips and tricks from these ladies! You can never stop learning.

The constant “mhm, mmm, mhm” while they’re talking drives me crazy and I have to turn it off sometimes because it’s just so much and so irritating. You don’t need to say that to show you’re listening. Just nod. It’s so so annoying. Also very short episodes I’d rather longer ( without the “mhm mhm”) But really amazing info!

The information is good but I can’t get over how many times they say ‘Ya’, ‘I know’ and ‘mhhmm’. I’m sure it’s just me but for such short episodes it’s mostly filled with those 3 words. How about some advice for estheticians who aren’t solo and don’t want to be a boss?

I am a relatively new esthetician and I have been listening to this podcast for years! I started listening when I was exploring the idea of going back to school for esthetics. This podcast gave me a window into what it’s like to be an esthetician. Kasey is honest, funny, and relatable about the ups and downs of this business. She is passionate, sincere, and genuinely cares about helping other estheticians be successful in the industry. I have learned so much from listening to this podcast. Also, I LOVE her Glo towels! They are so soft on the face and neck and my clients love them!

I stumbled across information on this podcast from IG and today I said I am going to listen to it. My first impression is that it is so refreshing to hear the everyday esthetician life talks. It’s like hearing from your Esty Bestie.

I don’t listen in to too many podcasts but this is definitely one that I do because as I’ve been an esthetician for a year now, it still can be a struggle finding your way especially in the business side of things. I love hearing their experiences and how Kasey runs her business because some day I would like to do the same and start out on my own.

I stumbled across this podcast researching information on starting an aesthetics business. This has been an absolute lifesaver. I have made so Many to do lists and got tons of information from these girls. Keep up the awesome work.

I found your podcast a year ago, and have been listening ever since! Two years ago I opened my own business in a suite and I find your podcasts so valuable. The towels are the absolute BEST and I love the cold rollers as well.

I am so glad I found this podcast! I am a lead esthetician for a franchise and was searching for something new to listen to. Now, I’m catching up on ever single episode to and from work. These conversations motivate me and remind me why I do what I do. Sometimes I talk to you guys through the speakers agreeing and laughing as if I was with you. Your my esthi spirit animal. It is so hard to find passionate and motivated estheticians in the work field. Sometimes I feel like I can’t relate to others or maybe I’m going too much but you ensure me that I am exactly where I need to be and have so much to learn and grow within this ever changing industry. I’ve really learned a lot from the ladies I enjoy my mornings listening to them and bringing that into my everyday esthetician life.

The episode about relocation really hit home for me! I’m relocating states! And it’s terrifying because I have no connections to even start my clientele in the new state. So I have to start from scratch and it’s so frightening. So I’m gunna have to go all in to rebuild. Ahahah thanks for the tips🫶🏾🫶🏾

Leaving 5 stars bc I think they need a second set of eyes to help out. I think that they just talk and waste time then lightly skim the topic they’re supposed to cover but it never is anything super useful. I think since even the old pod (beauty biz bffs) that they’re good at making pretty content and that’s about it. They don’t seem to know ingredients or product lines or even incorporating machines in spa pricing etc. Idk this is more of a listen to banter type of pod not so much for education.

So glad this was recommended to me in Apple Podcasts! I wish I had seen this three years ago when I first thought about starting my own business! Still though, every episode is so relevant to me even now! I especially loved the newest episode on the esti starter kit! I’ve already placed my order at Spa & equipment! Thanks ladies, great info, great dynamic, great podcast! Will recommend to my esti besties! ♥️

Loved this episode kasey! I feel like I really needed to hear this because it’s what I’ve been thinking and how I’ve been trying to put into my treatment room and services but I was having a hard time validating it to myself. Knowing that my prices might be a little higher than my “competition” but knowing I’m also giving myself 115% of myself and everything I got to my clients…thank you ❤️

I’ve been a long time follower, subscriber etc. I love the podcast and everything you girls do. However i couldn’t help but feel really tense and awful hearing you talk about people with depression. There is nothing more damaging and unsympathetic then telling someone who is depressed to “just take a walk” or “eat better”. Don’t you think if it was that easy we’d all be doing it? I love that you want to talk about mental health in this industry but please be careful.

This past episode talking about the ebbs and flows of being in the beauty biz was it for me! It was just enough motivation to help me think about what’s missing and to help me continue. Leave it to Kasey (+hailey) to snap me back into it lol you guys are great! Keep at it. I know podcasting can be tiring on top of everything else y’all have goin on 🫶🏽

I love this podcast! It’s so informative and fun. Kasey and Hailey are awesome and clearly so knowledgeable about all things skin and wellness. They are hardworking women who are real, realistic and down to earth. I look up to them both ❤️

I try to be fair in reviews and understand all the work it takes to create content so with that in mind… I was disappointed in the their latest episode of becoming a solo esthetician. We come to be uplifted, inspired and have truth. But I really heard a lot of judgement on women who want to go solo and create their dream without first putting in the hard work and working for someone else. For the average woman this probably makes sense but for women who strives to do better, seek knowledge and make things happen I don’t think this applies. And the women listening to this podcast are women who want more and better. There was no hope, or inspiring. “You can do it… here’s what I think will help”, it was more “ haaaa, this person doesn’t want to work a job” . I found their episodes depressing. From the message to their tone in energy. Although good content sprinkled in it’s very much like they are sitting on a throne preaching.

I just got my first professional job at a salon and spa as an Esthetician❤️ throughout this entire process your podcast has helped me extremely!!! Thank you ladies for sharing many tips and I’m growing more after each episode.😇

The skin and the city podcast has been in my top 5 podcasts because they can include both of these types of podcasts into theirs, they give amazing information & they don’t gate keep ANYTHING. I feel such an amazing sense of community while listening to this podcast, which feels hard to find in the esthetic community even still. I LOVE this podcast. The girls are energetic and calming at the same time, but i never zone out and stop listening when listening to the girls. I love that unlike other podcast, this one talks about business issues and ways to grow, not just skin care and skin knowledge. Sometimes it’s great to feel acknowledge as an esthetician and that’s what this podcast is all about. They’re not trying to only teach you more knowledge on skin but trying to teach you how to be a better version of you as an esthetician which i love. on days where i’m feeling drained from work they re inspire me and it’s exactly what I need. I listen every morning while getting ready for work and it makes me more excited as an esty and a better esty!

The information is amazing, but not only that I truly enjoy listening to Kasey & Hailey.
