I love the insights for writing & production. Rob’s stories make feel like I’m not alone. It’s my little Therapy Session. I was concerned when we hadn’t heard from you in a while. I thought maybe you had fire related problems. I’m so glad you’re digging into deeper things. I hope He Blesses you with some great inspirational comedy. ;) (G-D is the original comedian.)

This is the Greatest Podcast Ever Made. It’s so good I listen to it on 1.0x speed. Rob is a national treasure….however, I have notes…..this content is so good I want more, maybe bring in another writer, a “Rob Long” type who can fill out the show with some more material, maybe two shows a week, maybe 15 minute shows?

Just what the title says. Still, I give it 5 *s.

Rob Long (who thinks he’s a curmudgeon) seems to always both give me a chuckle and lift my spirits. I look forward to the drop of Martini Shot every week, just to listen to a master story teller at work. Many thanks for your wonderful work.

I've been a long time listener and I think this is my favorite podcast even though I have nothing to do with the entertainment business. Rob's episode titled "I miss my Dad" almost made me cry. I like the length ("that's what she said") of the typical episode...the 10-15 minutes is just right. Keep up the good work!

I simply adore this podcast. Well written and fun. And not fun in the “Haha” way. But instead in the, “Ohhh…I didn’t see that witty turn coming” way.

I love the short martini shots-- the snippets are fun and interesting. But the one with Richard Rushfield was torture and totally incoherent; there was so much sputtering and stammering it was like listening Porky Pig interview Elmer Fudd. Trurst me, It IS possible to edit all that stuff out.

A wonderful combination of candid entertainment-industry insight and smart pop culture analysis, always funny—like a stand-up comedian’s tour of a slaughterhouse.

Irish radio is the worst!

I have a bunch of podcasts I subscribe to that I love, but sometimes when they come in, my heart sinks a little because I just don’t have the time. Martini Shot is NOT one of those. This is the podcast equivalent of the Reader’s Digest that sits on the toilet tank. You can just pick it up at anytime and you know you’ll be able to finish and, better yet, enjoy it. I learn something every time. I’m entertained every time. And Rob has such a good delivery I even listen to a good portion of his advertisement pitches. That’s saying something because I’m a fast-forward fiend. Subscribe. You won’t regret it.

Love this. In fact, Auschwitz was easily the best episode yet...stuff it, Ireland. But for those young 30-somethings like me, maybe you could add some more to the feed by just doing old reruns. Maybe you don’t have the rights, but I sure would enjoy it!

Rob Long was one of the writers of Cheers. These are superb insights he has from a lifetime working in TV. The most insightful four minutes in podcasts today!
