Odd host and books are better
Hosts voice is a little too quirky and wanted more info on topic, less interviews with authors.

    Becca Talks About Public Health
Loved this episode! It helped me better understand public health and it was fun to get to “meet” the author! I really loved this book! I have given it to several children. It’s written in a fun voice that kids really love and it’s great for adults too because it gives the right language to talk about important ideas with kids.

    Smart, Thoughtful, and Respectful!
What a beautifully produced podcast of diverse voices! The discussions cover topics that are important yet often so difficult to talk about. The guests are open and authentic! The host’s empathy and curiosity makes you feel welcome and validated. Highly recommend!

    Great educational supplement
Well researched and kid-centric. An awesome way to help lead family discussions about big topics at home.

    I agree mostly with Jacob.
I believe they mean well, but it does also sound a little like they’re trying to guilt us into mourning about what our race did in the past.

I’m a teacher, always looking for ways to bring new learning modalities into my classroom. This podcast is going on the list!

    Podcast of will
The podcasts for “a book about” are very well made, with professional sound editing and good voice overs. That said, the content and subject material is designed to steal minds, not to change minds or inform minds, but steal them. I’m going to have to rate the podcast a one star, because as a white man, I felt targeted, unfairly, by the producers. No other race besides whites do the producers say have any agency to make change. Thanks? This podcast is designed to invoke guilt in white kids, so whites will feel it it to be natural and obligated to relinquish power to non-white Americans. The podcast is designed to persuade white people, in a very insidious way, to hate their history and to hate their pursuit of achievement. This podcast will not educate, your kid, but indoctrinate them—run from this podcast if you are white.

    Essential listening for the family
Just like the books, the podcast helps start conversations about so many different topics that families might want to discuss. It is done in an age appropriate way with voices from children along the way. Bravo to Matthew and team!!!

We love the book series and my 6 year old son loves the podcast now as well! It’s a remarkable resource for parents to connect and share with their kids! Thank you for giving us the resources to have challenging topics with our littles!

    This!
I am a fan of the book series and this podcast takes it to the next level. For my kid to hear the author voices and be able to hear their experiences is a wonderful way to keep the conversations from the books going....
