dans105DC Sports guruThere’s nobody better than Al to listen to after a Commanders win! His enthusiastic victory Monday pods are the best! Great insights and connections about all things sports in the DMV. I also appreciate that there’s always a podcast each day of the week, not just randomly like most others.

BAnonzGaldi’s Golden PipesOne of the necessary voices of DMV sports.

RobbyWagnerGreat DC/Orioles podcastAl is great at keeping fans in the know about all DC/UMD/Orioles happenings in sports. He has great guests that provide great insight, and he works so hard to put out new pods 5 days a week. We’re lucky to have him!

We are closeAl GaldiWow, you are absolutely the best. I cannot believe how detailed and professional and informative you are. I know you say you’re like the 47th best podcast in America. I cannot believe it. You are the very very best. I am sitting down to watch the Army Navy game, and I really hope that Josh Harris will Talk to the people who designed these uniforms for the army navy games because every year, the uniforms are so cool. Our uniforms stink. Cannot wait for January 8. Al, you are the very best. I am just curious if Ron had to check with Josh Harris and his minority owners before he came out and said that he was going to retain his coaching staff or was this just his decision??? You are the VERY best! Please keep it up! Josh Harris is a breath of fresh air for the NFL, the DMV and Commanders. Opening day will be a huge celebration of football coming back to our region. You are amazing, Al! Al! You are the best! I can’t start my day without him!😊❤️🏈

jiffyhippoThe sound for your guests is terribleThe sound quality of your guests is like talking in two cups connected by a string. It’s unlistenable and unprofessional.

OrsorioMy morning rendezvous with your Podcast.Al, I’m a die hard Commanders fan. I’ve lived in Nashville, TN since 1994. I was born and raised in DC. I worked as a vendor during the 1st Gibbs era. Worked my way from cokes to peanuts and popcorn then to beer. I didn’t care about the money, I was just their for the games. I was there when we all thought RFK was going to collapse from the chant “we want Dallas”. The guys I grew up with in DC all live in different cities. We meet annually for a Commanders away game. We’re on year 25 now. Since your 1st show I quietly crawl out of bed every morning, slip on my ear buds and go to an unoccupied room in the house and enjoy your podcast. Most of the mornings I mumble, moan or whisper softly on the reporting news or interviews in joy or frustration. I’m glad my wife is aware I’m a die hard Commanders fan because if she didn’t she would think I’m on the phone with some type of adult phone sex person. 😂😂😂 Your show is part of my morning routine. I love it. Thanks for being the 1st to deliver all things important from a commanders perspective. Burgundy and Gold til I’m dead and gold. Orsorio Jackson! PS- please play more go-go music in between breaks. Nothing represents DC more than go-go, and the Redskins, WFT and Commanders!

The Best sence ElvisOne of the best!Listen to the podcast everyday, Merry Christmas! I have a question if you all could answer on the podcast. Why hasn’t anyone suggested to keep Sam Howell (and no I’m not a howler) but keep him and still draft a QB with are first pick this coming up draft? Let the rookie QB sit behind Sam for the first few games to give him a chance to learn and we also get to see Sam with the coaches the new owner hires. If Howell is struggling at the beginning of the season then put in the rookie! We’ve been though how many QBs since 1993 and no one suggests to get two possible good quarterbacks at ones? Last time we did that Al we ended up with (you no who) and that turned out well until Dan did Dan. One of the best podcasts in DC, thank you! Hunter Lantz

ou_tkguyDaily must listenClear, concise and to the point. The best way to stay up to date on the DMV sports world. Guest audio is sometimes poor and difficult to understand. Ask Sheehan how he gets Thom to sound so good!

Sam I Am, the Bedhead BallerA Beautiful MindBeen a listener since Al started doing the Redskins postgame recaps. I remember marveling at his ability to retain key details and routinely make insightful comments. I’m the same generation as Al and appreciate having someone local who genuinely cares about DC sports, but who also can consolidate a week’s worth of valuable material in a daily podcast. There is no wasted space in the podcast, and you never get the sense that he is out of ideas or bringing others on to the show to just ramble. His guests are smart and understand key issues like analytics, and I feel that if Al did not do this he would have the brains to be a top doctor or lawyer.
-
mdavoBest DC sports pod. Intelligent and insightful analysis of all area sports teams.Looking for intelligent insight and daily DC area sports update, then look no further.
-
dcrudGetting worseOver half his pod is him reading long advertisements. To compound this, he uses these stupid forced transitions before each long ad read. He also tends to use the same sound bites over and over again. Not bad when he is actually talking sports, he just doesn’t do that enough.
-
El@100Great showGreat show Al, keep up the good work.

DMV2MSPBest DMV sports podcastThe most comprehensive review of DMV sports in the market! The daily and early morning releases are differentiators from the competitors in the podcast market and result in a phenomenal product!
-
Chris K at ADANew team slogan?Al, you may have seen that ex-Redskins great Deion Sanders is now the coach of the University of Colorado’s football program. Apparently “Coach Prime” has been able to generate a lot of attention for the program through his use of a simple but effective slogan: “We coming.” Given that Eric Bienemy is a Colorado alumnus, do you think the Harris team could get permission to adopt and slightly modify this slogan? “We Comm-ing” might be the viral tagline to help build widespread support for the Commanders name and logo. Love the show and keep up the great work. —Chris in Cleveland

BesimchaThank you Al!The Al Galdi show is my first listen after any commander (and yes for those rare Washington Orioles fans) Baltimore game! Thank you for servicing this niche community. Your show is less of a sports show and more of a friend that you get to revel with after win or stew with after a loss. Keep it going!

Ashish L.CommandO’sLove the Galdi podcast.. Love his Commanders, Orioles, and DC sports coverage and that he gets it out early so can get my morning sports fix.. Al, there are lots of fans like you and me who grew up with the Redskins and Orioles as their teams.. please keep the insightful coverage coming.. Enjoy his soundbyte additions… (e.g, Soundbytes from Redskins, Joe Angel, Orioles Magic). Keep up the great Commanders and Orioles coverage along with the Nats, Wiz and Caps.

SW CCOne of the BestKeep up the great work Al!!!

WFT in Saudi ArabiaNot amused by your ageismLoved Al, but he has become an agist. Al has hard on to fire Ron, and that is OK, expect for the reason of his age. Al keeps taking about a “younger” head coach. More innovative, better. “This is not the 50’s anymore” Al, you are not young, but based on your vibe I will only now listen to young and hip podcasters and not you. I work in medicine. I do not think I am old as in my mid to late 59’s, but clearly you think it is time for me to move on and die. Let me ask you, for your kids and your wife, do you want the 26 year old newbie doing surgery or the “old” person who has seen and experienced much? Very disappointed in your ageism.
-
MasterYousGlad he's "back"I was very sad when Al left local radio, but when he came back with his podcast, I was very happy. He's factual, funny, and always always well-informed. He's a local treasure and I hope you keep doing what you do for a long time, Al.
-
S-DUBBBest in the bizThere’s no one better Al. The range of topics, the nonpartisan position, the guests, the dulcet tones! The very best.
-
TheBobbyOWhat more could you want?Al is the most credible voice on the widest variety of DC sports topics and a must listen if you value any of the major teams in town (not just the football team, but he’s great at that too). Kudos to him for being the first word in DC sports every weekday!
