PampkerampkaMy Favorite PodcastI’ve been listening to Punk Frockers for a couple years now, and it is my favorite podcast to listen to every week. I love it so much that I recently went back to the beginning and started over from the beginning as well as became a Patreon, so I could get bonus episodes. Beverly and Jenny talk in a way that makes it feel like you are sitting with friends chatting about every aspect of our favorite hobby: sewing. I appreciate how they talk new patterns, what they are working on, successes and failures in sewing, what’s going on in the sewing community, and interviewing a variety of people with different perspectives and experiences with the sewing community.

Optimistic EggSocial justice oriented sewersWhat a wonderful show. I am a twenty four year old trans masculine sewer who has been doing mainly costuming for twelve years. My mom has gotten into sewing in the past few years and all the content she enjoys and tries to share with me is very much in the realm of straight, cis, skinny, white women who consider themselves “quirky.” This show really feels like a place where I can have social justice oriented critiques of the broad sewing community, abundant resources, and honest and compassionate dialogues

agmss15Punk FrockersI love listening to these two ladies talk about sewing clothing in particular, life in general, clothing fitting bodies or rubber stamps. One my favorite podcasts!!

vivacious.vConversation starters!I am so glad I discovered this podcast! Jenny and Beverly are so frank and supportive of each other and other sewists in the community. The podcast’s identity as a community podcast is reflected in their monthly themes, often devoted to aspects of inclusion and diversity. The sewing prompts are low stakes and don’t involve a lot of rules, but always spark new ideas and conversations- in my head as well as online in the larger sewing community. What fun!

Carliemeatball99Great sound quality, somewhat limited scopeI’ve listened to several episodes and enjoyed them - excellent production values, nice rapport between the hosts and they do a great job of not talking over each other which I suspect is actually difficult to avoid. Jenny has a colorful vocabulary which I relate to and Beverly’s style is lovely and serene. One drawback for me is they seem to focus almost entirely on independent patterns and generally avoid patterns and designers that don’t have an extensive size range. Their call but I find it too limiting sometimes. Also, sewing 20+ versions of the same pattern gets a bit old for me.

Pqr9tf83fngBest Sewing PodcastI’m always searching for sewing podcasts. This one is hands down my favorite. Easy to listen to in terms of host/guest interaction and sound quality. Your topics are interesting and relevant, and have given me some ideas for future makes.

nanzibhenGreat sewing podcastI love this podcast. The hosts have a great rapport, interesting guests, and lots of sewing insights to share. I always find out about new patterns to try and the patterns they talk about gave excellent size ranges and they do mention the max inches. Plus they have challenges monthly which are fun to participate in. I’m going back and listening to all the ones from the beginning too.

Laini99OceanI don’t sew but super excited I found this podcast bc who sew can teach other to makes their own clothes with used and organic textiles. This is the # 1 most efficient way to save the ocean and keep the waters clean without waiting for legislation.

Paula from SewGothThe podcast the sewing community really neededI love Punk Frockers! It is my favorite sewing podcast. Listening to the podcast is like hanging out in the sewing room with Beverly and Jenny. The challenges are so creative and fun; they help create community and push listeners to try something new. The chemistry between Beverly and Jenny is pure magic—they are so much fun to listen to! Thanks for creating this sewing podcast—the sewing community really needed it.

Palmarosa33And now there are B sides!!Like to sew? Want to hear two sewists chat about sewing with melodious voices and good mics? Here’s one! No advice and they are proud of that. Surprisingly catchy and comforting. I never miss an episode and now there are B sides…extra content about interesting people who do interesting things.

mamasarabearLike a weekly sewing bee in my houseI love the Punkfrockers. I look forward to listening every week. I don’t have many local friends who sew, so this podcast adds a sense of community to my creating that had previously been missing. Jenny and Beverly have become a great resource to me and the sewing community in general. As a sewist in a bigger body I really appreciate their commitment to inclusive sizing when discussing patterns, and often take notes when listening of things to check out or make (or avoid!). Love you both! — Sara.fornia

Molly MPLook forward to TuesdaysI always look forward to Tuesdays to hear what Beverly and Jenny are up to in their sewing room. I love hearing about all the new garments they are working on and what patterns up next!

detroyitSew fabulous!I love this podcast! The ladies are smart, sassy and laugh out loud funny. You know the old saying “if something is too good to be true, it probably is”? Well Punk Frockers really IS THAT GOOD!
-
lala flaneuseI listen every Tuesday! This is the one podcast I reliably listen to on the very day a new episode is released because I don’t want to wait. Jenny and Beverly have a great dynamic, and something they say often makes me laugh out loud. Jenny in particular is a sewing inspiration for me with her prolific creativity and advocacy, and I’ve learned more about how to reuse textiles and why from Beverly. I love these two, and I hope they are enthused about continuing this podcast for a long time, because it’s a highlight for me every week! Next up: I need to participate in one of their sewing challenges.

AuggieOutsideEpisode 25 is the best yet!Sew enjoyed the interview with Kelly Hogaboom. What a great reminder that sewing is life and sewists can inhabit the space as a parent, hobbyist, community service, AND professional. I love your interview content; the guests are just terrific to learn from. Please keep them coming!

Mary SantezA real treat for your earsI may not always have time to sew but I always find time to listen to Jenny and Beverly during my commute to and from work. Their witty and meaningful conversations make me feel connected to a craft I love so much but can’t always find the time for during this season of my life. They have no idea how grateful I am for their work on this podcast. Thank you Jenny and Beverly!

NikcoleangelLove their spirit!I just started listening this weekend and I am hooked. Jenny and Beverly are funny, energetic, and relatable. They also don’t shy away from tough topics like size inclusivity for the comfort of their listeners. These are discussions that need to be heard as much as the fun stuff. It’s all a part of the sewing community!

Barbzk1Like getting together with sewing buddiesIn normal times I join a sewing meet-up once monthly. Due to Covid we haven’t seen each other for over a year. We never run out of sewing topics and laugh until our cheeks hurt. Discovering Punk Frockers brought some of that hilarity back to my life. I’m not a plus size sewist and make garments unlike Jenny and Beverly but it doesn’t matter. We all have sewing fever. I listen during my walks and feel like I’m exercising with smart and witty friends.
-
fiberflowerFavorite podcastI love this podcast as the two people are funny , smart, astonishingly prolific as Jenny has sewed up 5 or six dresses in the time I have been trying to get one pair of underwear to fit. They make me want to jump in and join the PF party but I am not brave enough to show up in my knickers. As for glam I am very not glam and pretty introverted, careful and not a fast sewer. On a serious note they are advocates for inclusivity especially for fat people and although I am probably a little fat I identify as a fat person so I appreciate that they are bringing attention to inclusion for all people.
-
Pick112Excellent PodcastThis is an excellent sewing podcast with two different and engaging hosts. They aren’t afraid to tackle subjects that are controversial. They make me laugh and wish I could join in the conversation.

dlwfwjSo much funI didn’t know if I would really like a sewing podcast, I mean how much can you say that makes sense without visuals? Turns out, a whole lot! Jenny and Beverly are so much fun to listen to, and I’ve gotten so much more out of this than I could have imagined. Many tips and tricks, validation when I hear them saying something I feel but had no idea anyone else did, and plenty of patterns and other sewists to check out. I also appreciate the size inclusivity and as a fat woman myself, strongly relate to everything Jenny says about this topic. I haven’t done the monthly challenges yet because I just started listening last week (and binged 7 episodes) but I look forward to participating.
-
InterestedSewistJessFrock on!I’m three episodes in and I am so happy to have a podcast that is making an effort to only name drop patterns that can fit most sewists (yay!) I’m looking forward to following along with and doing all the challenges!
-
Joe111111121Yes!So happy to have another awesome sewing podcast - Jenny and Beverly make me laugh, but also address real life issues of >50 year old sewists and fantastic pattern picks.
-
Cashan0316Great heart in this podcast!I love the genuine feel of this podcast and love their effort to amplify the voices that aren’t really being heard in the sewing world. The episode on fat bias is <chef’s kiss> and it’s also just the tip of the iceberg, so I’m looking forward to the future discussions that will come from this awesome beginning. Give this one a listen and you’ll be happily hooked, y’all!

Rlg1039Love this podcast! This podcast is the perfect backdrop for sewing, it feels so nice to have these friendly folks’ voices chatting merrily as I work on a project! And heck yes to the sentiment in the most recent episode that we need more patterns for upper size ranges!
-
HawaiiBlowsA great pair of sewists with a great voice on inclusive sewingI’ve listened to Jenny and Beverly from the beginning and I have to say thank you. Thank you for talking about size inclusivity and fat sewing. Thank you for not being frilly with your language and just being real life sewists. And lastly, as a fat sewist, thank you for bringing light to the issues that face us when looking for patterns and helping straight size sewists to understand how frustrating it can be. I love that they are real with their sewing advice and aren’t perfect sewists. They are funny, witty, and creative.

Divine DitaOne of the few I rarely missI have every intention to listen to sewing podcasts, but rarely ever remember to check for latest episodes. Punk Frockers, however, I NEVER miss. Both hosts, Jenny and Beverly are not only entertaining, but they discuss the sewing community with honesty and I feel a sense of belonging and understanding. Lovely podcast
