elgee11My favorite running podcastThere are a lot of good running podcasts out there, but this is my favorite. It is dope to get a “behind the scenes” look at pro running. I love that the podcast really dives into the mental side of the sport (both training and racing). My favorite parts of the podcast are the interviews with Grant’s teammates — they have a different feel to them because Grant knows them so well. I also love the old and recent race recaps/analysis. Honestly, though, I like everything, and I look forward to when new episodes drop every week.

Reviews Person #1Turned a couch potato into a running enthusiast!I had never been into running but after attempting to get into the sport I found that this was an extremely helpful podcast! I wasn’t really quite sure what I was doing but this pod made the sport really accessible and engaging for me. Thanks for being so consistent and for all the hard work!
-
Ktps9Love recaps of old racesGreat pod! Always entertaining and interesting and almost takes my mind off the pain of marathon training long runs! I really like the recaps of old races - it’s a very fun way to learn about some running history.

michiganrunner55Love the Podcast weeklyLove the podcast listen to it every week. One of my all time favorites was listening to someone interview Jerry Schumacher. Would be great if you could get your famed coach to talk a little bit about Bowerman and the world of track and field!!
-
YolodogFavorite running podcast!I love this podcast because they give useful information and provide great insight into all things running, Injuries, nutrition, race day routines, and just nerding out about races! It’s really fun to listen

-
austinlyonsBehind the scenesVery insightful to hear what happens behind the scenes with a pro runner, especially the conversations that touch on mindset and mentality. It’s also fun to follow along with Grant’s progress in an Olympic year. Fantastic interview with Mo Ahmed as well, hope to hear from other pros on occasion in the future!

Pardi55555One of my favorite podcastsI love how this podcast feels like I’m just listening to my friends talk about running, but is also so informative and so interesting. It is casual, yet I learn more about training and gain more insight into professional running.
-
Ty Heathlove the podcastGrants just such a good guy, was able to run with him the summer of my freshman year. He gave me a shirt that day, and I still wear it for warmups every race day!
-

CoachGaryBGreat podcastStraight forward, just two guys chatting about a sport they love. No talking over the heads of their listeners, just sharing their passion for running!!
-
madison_shrimpLike chilling with some friends......If your friends were really good at running.
-
HartzyNickGreat show!Great insight on the BTC and love the chemistry between you two!

RunnerGirlRubyNot just for HS boysConnor and Grant are great hosts and this podcast really gives insight into these two characters behind what you see on the start line. You may think these two unbelievably talented athletes would be immodest or arrogant- they have every right given how much they’ve achieved/ how much potential they have- but NO! These two are so humble and if anything too understated and immodest! They don’t act like they know everything, and truly want to use their experiences to benefit others. This podcast is not like any other running show, and I love that! Even if you subscribe to all the others, the Half Step Pod will interest you nonetheless. When I say it is unique, I mean it in all the best ways! Thank you boys for giving us this resource! Your naturals at the podcast game and I can’t wait to see your subscribers grow. Fun in the right places, serious and educational in others, always interesting and entertaining: never miss an episode! This show is not just for HS boys. Keep it up! (Please!) nolanrunningpodfanoverall great podcastclearly superior to the price of a mile. very interesting and informative

VikingsFan2019Great insight into the world of running! This podcast has quickly become one of my favorites! As an avid runner, it’s extremely important to me that I keep up with the world of running and all the information out there. With the amount of running podcasts out there, it can be intimidating to find one that informs and entertains at the same time. Because of that I have always bounced around from one run podcast to the next because I either lose interest or find a more interesting “nut” per say. This has been the first podcast that I have stuck with and I learn something new every time I listen. This podcast provides the perfect combination of running, both pro and at the collegiate level, and allows listeners to gain a valuable insight that they won’t want to miss out on. Whether you are some one who runs a lot or just dabbles in the sport, you will gain value from listening! PS - I really enjoy the race breakdowns that Grant and Connor do!
-
jgrothe1Good podcastVery good podcast about pro/college running. I love the race recaps!

jordan12347AmazingSuper great podcast
-
Tom523One of a kindHow often do you get weekly podcasts, created by someone who is top in their game? This podcast is like getting a weekly pod from Steph curry. Connor and Grant got great chemistry, especially for starting up so soon
-
JMW650Weekly habitThis podcast is new, but I look forward to the update every week. It’s a cool peek behind the curtain for runners of all ages and levels and it’s great hearing insight from both the professional and collegiate perspectives.
-
Nathan LoerschGreat insightsFantastic insights into the ins and outs of living and training as a member of BTC. I also especially enjoy the race breakdowns! Fantastic to gain perspective from someone who’s been in similar race situations, while also comparing my thoughts on the race to Grant and Connor’s.
-
PaneenersFantastic running journalA plus story of what it takes mentally and physically to rise to an elite level in American distance running as well as chase the best in the world. Love the mix of nerdy track talk, video game references, and breakdown of training / racing. The dynamic between these co-hosts is perfect. Super authentic. Overall 100% recommend
-
CollinJKeep the historical race analyses coming!Loved the 1983 race analysis. It makes this running podcast stand out from the dozens of others, and you guys bring a great perspective to what it would be like to race on the MSG track. I’m a hobby jogger who has never raced indoors so it was great to hear what it’s like to get caught up in the churn!
-
skdbfks elfAwesomenessPlease keep doing these every week. I love listening to this on the way to work. Keep analyzing different runners and different races. Best running podcast rn!
-
koinlaksSweet DMsInteresting to know the kinda things Grant receives in his inbox.

Slug_botCoolWish I learned how much centro could squat. Guess we can’t get everything we want.
-
ballinphilGoodSolid first episode. Heard about it on the “Sound Running” live stream, so maybe have bowerman Instagram advertise it to gain publicity? Grant seems like a good dude, despite going to stanfurd ;)
-
Visc@B@rc@1RangeThe range of a 3:35 1500 and a 27:11 10,000 AND a podcast! But can it go farther than The Price of a Mile? Looking forward to more episodes building into this Olympic year.
