Pixel Project Radio is a wonderful show about some great video games. The host, Rick, is very well spoken, insightful, and just a joy to listen to. He and his guests do a great job not just talking about a game, but analyzing the parts and pieces of it in such a way that are insightful and never in a way that alienates the listener. Give this show a listen and I promise you'll see your favorite game from a new perspective. - Nomad

I’ve been enjoying PPR for about a year now, and I can’t say enough good things about it. The games are varied, leaving something for everyone, no matter your taste. Personally, I’ve never played 85% of the games reviewed on this show, yet time after time I enjoy the listening experience. Rick has really good flow imo. He often has a guest host or hosts with him, and the back and forth is always vibey. Of course before departing the show, his and Ben’s chemistry was unmatched. I’m hoping to hear him back on the show again someday! Not to detract from everything I just typed, but recently, Rick put out a few solo shows on which he absolutely shines! You can tell he put some special sauce on them. I could go on, but you really gotta listen and see for yourself. Cheers! Matt

Rick is a thoughtful, evocative host who hand picks some truly fabulous guests and also presents insightful solo essays on deeper elements of the chosen game. Concepts are clearly and concisely delivered - there's a lot of thought and heart behind this pod. Highly recommend!

Out of the many gaming podcasts out there, Pixel Project Radio is a must listen. Including a wide variety of different topics combined with a deep dive structure, help by great interaction from the hosts! Would definitely recommend!

I first heard about Pixel Project radio through a shout-out on the Secret Levels podcast. I enjoy that PPR is as good in quality as SL from a completely different direction. While Secret Levels has a big emphasis on comedy, Pixel Project Radio has an emphasis on deep diving into the topics and games they cover. Each episode is like a fantastic history lesson and editorial critique. Love it!

There’s always an interesting topic to focus on for the episode and the editing/structures of the episodes are well done. Definitely recommend listening to the show especially if you love games and essays on games

I think I count as a long time listener, so now is about time for a review! Pixel Project Radio has a fascinating and unique take on each video game it reviews and I always find myself learning something new. The hosts will surprise you on their take and analysis each episode and can make you look at your favorite (and least favorite!) video games in a different light. I am constantly amazed at the amount of information they throw out with each episode - their time and energy are certainly well noted! Obviously my favorite topics of discussion are anything to do with in-depth musical analysis (those music degrees they have are pretty solid). Hosts Ben and Rick can even make you Tidus laugh often throughout their episodes (even if I don’t agree with Rick’s pronunciation of “Tidus”). Well done guys!

Rick and Ben produce an amazing experience each week. They dive deep into their time with the games they showcase each week, but also into the philosophy of gaming and it’s relation to culture. Don’t get me entirely wrong here though the show also has a direct connection to my funny bone. Great hosts, great topics, and great voice! Listen to this podcast!

I don't know for sure that listening to Pixel Project Radio actually makes me more intelligent, but it definitely makes me FEEL more intelligent and that's all that matters, right? Both Ben and Rick are a treat for the ears and their extreme knowledge of the games they discuss is super impressive. They are definitely not here to 'yuck' anyone's 'yum'... PPR is a stellar podcast all around!

The boys deliver a broad view of each topic, covering aspects of each game ranging from development, mechanics, soundtrack and sound design, art design, and especially story. As someone who has always enjoyed gaming but never had a huge gaming library, I have found the love and care that this podcast treats the games they play to be a huge motivator in exploring outside of my comfort zone. Wrap it all in the sometimes silly, sometimes dry humor that ticks all the right boxes, and you’ve got yourself a top-rate podcast.

Awesome video games discussion- really thoughtful and I love their insights on game music! Plus they are very handsome boys.
