Paper Talks Mottos for 2025 :  Simply Creative - Simplify your creativity

Hello, crafty friends

The girls here at Paper Talk took a look around our craft rooms and decided we need to get back to the fundamentals of scrapbooking: making the things! Our overfilled craft rooms is where the inspiration for a new fresh challenge was born.

So, welcome to being simply creative in 2025.

We are leaving behind overthinking and prioritizing finished projects.

We are pulling out pretty paper and fun embellishments and embracing the process of using them up.

Our hope is that you will join us in simplifying your creativity along with us. There will be some fun challenges and creative episodes (and maybe a few more things up our sleeves). Look for stories and posts. We can’t wait to craft with you all.

Let’s document our lives and use up our supplies, paper lovers and crafters! #beCreative2025PT #scrapbooking #paperlover

    Disappointed
I was looking for some good crafty inspiration. I heard that these girls were good. But so much talk about horoscopes and chakras… 🤔 As a Christian follower of Jesus, I find this inappropriate. I don’t see what it has to do with crafting. So I will move on & continue my search for crafty inspiration.

    Needs more focus
I feel that the ladies probably should chat for an hour with one another before recording. A lot of the show is about personal life and things that are very off topic. I was excited for the third gal who joined but I found that she interrupts a lot. I also do not find the word she used in the last episode acceptable. It is derogatory to those who are mentally disabled. I will not be listening any further.

    Keep it going
Love listening to you gals! Glad I found your podcast! You two are real and have great tips for scrapbooking. Was laughing so hard on the”who, what, where and why” show!…Janet I hope you find the missing October daily….😊 I am glad you gals are back and Josie is able to scrap again:) I wanted to give a plug about mental health…so glad in person crops are happening again. It helps us talk and hear others stories and what struggles people have. These ladies become our cheerleaders in our lives. I could tell you so many ladies need this community to give them the support they need. Personally after breaking my elbow, the scrapbooking crops helped me mentally as I was healing but it helped me forget about my pain as I listened, laughed and spent time with the crafty ladies. Thanks for helping us laugh as well as you talked about your printer paper misfortune 😁💕

    Paper crafting about a year!
I discovered your show last summer and I’M SO GLAD YOU’RE BACK! I’ve been making mini-books, journals, and scrapping the past year and I’m obsessed. You two are ladies after my own heart, as it can be a challenge to find like-minded people who get it! I have a nice reserve of products (we r makers, cinch, Cricut products…). I also collect mugs & fun water bottles, to the dismay of my husband, and two teen kids. Finally, I taught school for 12 years & now manage a Maker Space! So my life is crafting, etc. Please keep up the great content. I’m so entertained and garner a lot of info. -Hadley

You Make Me Want To Scrapbook
I’m a very new paper crafter. I have a Cricut and love working with vinyl but recently started working w/paper as well. The other day while I was work I was looking for something to listen too upbeat and crafty. I listened to the episode with Heidi Swapp and fell in love. I’ve listened to two more episodes today. My daughter just turned 9 and I’ve never thought to scrapbook, but you two seriously make me want to now. I feel like you two are my new best friends!!! Janet, Now and Then was the best movie. I saw it w/my friends in college and loved it and it totally makes me want to watch it again. Thanks for the fun and laughter. Now I’m making a list of all the supplies I need to add to my craft room.

    Fun and Down to Earth!
Jossie and Janet always make their guests feel welcome and they are so much fun to listen to. Also, I always learn more about paper crafting from their guests and discussions. This is a really enjoyable podcast with friendly and welcoming energy. Definitely check out these crafty ladies if you are a paper crafter or stamper!

    Good but not great
Overall it’s a nice podcast, but the Show Notes do not have details or links to any information shared in the show. It would be nice if the topics shared could be referenced. There was a show on photos and I think I misheard some information because they talked about albums duplicating photos on the iPhone and a reference sheet they would put in show notes and I went to check it and nothing is there. The two hosts are enthusiastic about the topic and often talk over each other-which can be frustrating- but also gives it the feel of two friends just chatting. The choices for scrapbook podcasts are so limited, this will have to stay in my rotation.

    Very enjoyable and entertaining!
I’m really enjoying this podcast. The have solid edits, their conversations flow very nicely and they stay on topic for the most part. The hosts have a great rapport with the guests (and each other) and are very passionate about scrapbooking.

    Paper Crafting Besties!
Love this podcast! It’s like having your crafting bestie right there with you.:) For anyone who scrapbooks or does any other type of paper crafting in general, this is for you. Only another crafter can understand your obsession with all things crafting and not judge and these girls are it! Highly recommend!
