I enjoy the podcast. Both Dante and Janet put so much effort to fully dissect episodes, iconic moments and just having a good time. I’m rewatching the series along with the podcast. I’m a huge fan of the show and have been listening since it began! I had the utmost pleasure of meeting Janet at Granite State Comic Con a few years back. (I was wearing the purple velvet coat and Raccoon vertebrae earrings with the amethyst we both bonded over). You were such a gem to meet Janet! Anyways thank you for working so hard on the podcast. I look forward to the rest of this season and can’t wait to get into Korra! I’m also currently listening to the new episode (The Avatar and the Firelord) and I think we just need to mention the huge name that voiced Sozin mister Ron Perlman! But I believe that Hiro Kanagawa voiced him as well. Perhaps the older version.

The production quality for the first season wasn’t great, but the interviews were great. The two hosts Janet and Dante did talk over each other quite a bit in the first season, but I think it’s just because this is a new format for them. The second season is excellent. Not only did they come to a consistent style to present the show, but they also got a production team and the audio quality is much much better. The first season was almost intolerable to listen to, from a technical perspective, because the episodes were mixed very poorly. There was no compression on the vocals, and sometimes Dante would speak very loudly, and it would blow up my speakers. I had to ride my volume control every time I’d listen to the show, especially if I had it turned up to combat the road noise of my car. I’m very much looking forward to listening to the rest of the show as the quality has improved so much more. I’m even looking forward to listening to the Korra episodes.

The first two season were 5/5, but hiding the entire book 3 except for the first episode behind a pay wall just leaves a bad taste.

My husband & son introduced me to this show when it first came out. I was pregnant with my 2nd son. I love to say he is as old as the original series. We have been fans ever since. We own the original series on DVD. We dressed as the elements one Halloween. When it came out on Netflix we were thrilled & it is often something we watch when there’s nothing to watch. I have recently discovered this podcast & even though I have watched it from the inception, I have learned soooo much just listening. Thank you for bringing new insight to a show my family & I have watched since the start.

These two are the perfect hosts! I do think it would be an interesting episode to talk about the live action movie or “the movie that must not be named”. I would love to hear Dante’s and Janet’s thoughts on it. But they are doing a fantastic job!

I learned about this show from a youtube channel i’m subscribed to and i couldn’t be happier to have been introduced to it!! I adore ATLA and Korra, so this show is a great listen because i get to learn more about the show but also hear thoughts from those involved! Wish i could give it more than 5 stars ❤️

My family LOVES avatar. We have watched it since the beginning. And I say since because we do regular re-watches. This was the one show my whole family could always agree on. My 16 yo son just started a rewatch recently, so I’m looking forward to listening to more of these episodes.

Started off LOVING it. I wish I could give it 5 stars. Was so excited to hear from behind the scenes writers, directors etc- people actually involved in the show! Having guest stars that are completely unrelated killed the mood. And I feel Janet interrupts a lot and needs to have her words poured over everyone’s. It makes other people stop and sometimes not finish where they were going. Really annoying. The playful attacks on Dante, I wonder if it bothers him? And when he was out for a while it was really sad. Also it kind of bugs me to hear Janet tell Dante to ask a question but she says the question aloud so it’s redundant… I’m complaining a lot but one more thing- the recycled episodes are AWFUL. If I wanted to hear an old episode I would go back. If you have nothing new to add then don’t post! HMPH! But…! I still listen because it’s still good and interesting. Voice actors/actresses are super fun. The guest stars are very insightful! I was trying to watch along but it takes forever to get to the next episode sometimes. So I watched all the way through a couple times. I listen to this at work which is really awesome. Give it a listen. The lost days cracks me every time. </3

I love Avatar Last Airbender so so much I’ve watched the whole thing like 5 times ( which isn’t enough!) and this podcast is amazing! I never knew I needed a podcast hosted by Zuko and Korra. But I need it. Zuko is my favorite character.Then Toph. Then Sokka. then everyone else. LISTEN TO THIS PODCAST! I am so happy your gonna end hiatus soon! Keep up the great work!

Can’t wait for the next season

Somehow this flew under my radar for the past 3 years. Foreshadow report - ended up binging all the episodes in two months comfortably. Janet Varney and Dante Basco have such an endearing dynamic, and the love and cohesion feels very authentic. Love the deep-dive-episode format, mixed in with appearances by incredibly talented people. People who worked on Avatar that provide incredible behind the scenes takes. Or colleagues in the podcast and voice over spheres that are a treasure trove of funny or heartfelt or enlightening stories. I was genuinely sad when I got a few episodes in, and realized there haven’t been any episodes in months. So I can’t tell you the utter excitement that was channeled when I saw the season 3 announcement!! Seriously can’t wait. If you’re a fan of Avatar or Korra, this podcast is definitely for you!

This is such a good podcast, I love listening to Dante and Janet and all the guests! I really hope they come back eventually with season 3, and then do LOK.

I have never been into podcast before, though when I heard that there was one about Avatar of course I had to give it a try. It is absolutely amazing. One of my favorite things is that the actual voice actors are the hosts! Very fun and interesting way to talk about the series and learn more about the show. Diving deep into the show is my favorite part and of course having other voice actors from the show makes it more fun because you learn about how much of an experience it was. 100% recommend to any Avatarverse fan.

I found this podcast at the roughest time of my life a month or two ago. I listened to it religiously throughout the entire day - while working, cooking, running errands. I had it on as constant background. Avatar is one of my comfort shows, and this feels like the audio version of watching the show. It’s comforting and feels like home much like the original series does. I don’t know how I would’ve gotten through those couple of weeks without it. Thank you so much

I love this show! It’s so entertaining and interesting hearing these little deep dives into each episode and more. I just really hope it continues into season 3! It has been so long and I’m putting off finishing the last episodes because I don’t want it to be over!

Best part of LA traffic? Being able to listen to Dante and Janet dish about behind the scenes activities and world-building lore with the wonderful people who contributed to the Avatar world. Its even convinced me to buy the comics! Also special shout-out to whoever thinks of those fun little in-universe advertisements, truly masterful work

I’ve been listening to braving the elements since day one and I just adore this podcast. Not only does the cast have great chemistry, I love the discussions that are had. What used to be only a “kids show” and now being expanded and explored for all its amazing themes. Really excited for season 3!!!

I love this show and when I found out about this podcast I was all over it. You two are the perfect people to host this and I love how you did it. But if I could make one request I would make more shows like legends of Korra, where they show an earth bending avatar, and maybe even a fire bending avatar after that. Making my Zuko and Korra loving dreams come true

I feel spoiled joining the Avatar and Fire-lord, as they take a deeper dive into each episode and the rich layers of the world of Avatar. Janet and Dante are so lovely. And they land such amazing guests, from the many creators who lovingly crafted the series to awesome fans from all walks of life who lovingly bring the show’s culture and values to life in the real world. It’s so cool and heart-warming to hear all of them share their insight, joy, and stories. My only criticism is there have been a number of occasions where they re-upload episodes as new ones. I know our hosts are busy people, and the repeats are always thematically linked to where they’re at with the re-watch, but I already have the option to go back (which I already do) and listen to past episodes of the pod. Maybe it has to do with analytics? It’s okay to wait until they’re free. Fans love re-watching with them and are okay waiting until they’re free.
