    I wanted to like this..
Season 1 was decent, even though the writing was a little cheesy. But, my god, the writing is season 2 is atrocious. I turned it off half way through episode 4.

    The show is incredible
It a great show lots of content it’s all awesome it’s really difficult to listen to Humanea screw all the people she loves to help strangers and everyone around her pats her head and let it keep happening she lets rust almost die a bunch of times and screwed her sister and allows a monster to escape but no worry’s atleast she can be the hero and give out treatments

Waiting for the rival to Scientology
I believe Mark R Healey has more stories than L Ron himself.

    Highly enjoyable
I’ve listened through twice now - love hearing and supporting a highly imaginative creator and the world/characters he’s building.

Top 5 fave, out of 1000+ audio plays
Super-pro quality, fast paced, hard driving cyber noir. Better writing than 90% of the stuff out there, including the big Hollywood audioplays. Production and sound as good as the very best you will hear. Outstanding performances from a talented cast, whose voices perfectly fit their roles. Absolutely amazing effort, with extremely rewarding results. What a show! Bravo!!! Extraordinary! Additionally, season 10 villain Halford’s name pricked up my ears. Then, joined by DeLeo, I recognize the author as a proper metal head, from back in the day. Now I’m listening for a characters with names like Sarzo, Mogg, Harris, or maybe a Blackmore. Keep on a’rockin!

    Great story line
The character of Rust is very well played. The rest of the characters are great also it’s a all around great story and very easy to get sucked into the story line and be anxiously awaiting the next episode

    The Strata is a Blast!
Tons of fun. It took me most of the first episode to get used to Rust, as a futuristic 20th century gruff dude, but he grew on me. I really liked the story and the soundscape, which can draw you in to a full experience. The actors were great, and personalities were well maintained throughout. I didn’t care for having an adulting voicing for the little girl, that was a little rough. Otherwise, this has been my fave podcast for a while. Keep it coming Mark! Happy to be a patron.

    Excellent All Around!!!
This show has it all! The writing is deliberate and concise. Little plot lines that seem like loose ends come full circle seasons later. I appreciate the patience the writers had in developing the characters and universe of The Strata. They accomplished something I have rarely seen anyone actually pull off. Each of the first seasons focuses on a different set of characters. It’s hard to imagine many of their lives ever crossing. Through a series of events in the 8th season, all of their worlds collide. It’s a cool story-telling technique that must have taken a lot of planning to do in a way that doesn’t feel forced. The actors are far better than most independent podcasts. The sound design is immersive and really helps in bringing the story to life. I highly recommend checking this show out!

I cannot get enough of The Strata!!
Phenomenal!!!! The Strata is a great podcast top to bottom. Great storyline that keeps you glued to each episode. Mark does a nice job of developing each character. They are relatable and I feel as though I know them personally. The acting is superb and, along with the sounds and effects, really set this production apart. I can “see” what I am listening to. If you haven’t already started streaming this show, you are missing out!

This story is FANTASTIC!!! Mark, amazing work!

    not bad
A decent show, nothing too crazy. I listen to podcasts while i work and need stuff that holds my interest but isn’t too complicated or distracting. Strata was about right for that. Production quality is pretty good, voice actors are ok. I eventually got annoyed with the voices of Carver and Narli. I thought Ximena was the best of the bunch.

What an awesome 8 seasons with a fantastic interweave of character stories that brilliantly come to a head in season 8! The Voice actors gave stellar performances! It’s been an epic 8 seasons & I can’t wait for season 9!

    Entertaining
I enjoyed the story and am happy the writer gave us some sense of closure at the end of season 8.

    Great show but….
Had to skip through a bunch of season 7. Humana’s voice was getting annoying with her over exaggerated exhales after every word. Plus the constant worry and concern is just getting old. Also who voiced Carlita? A 15 year old boy?😂😂 Hopefully season 8 gets better
  • yup37
    Good show but…..
Show is fun and entertaining. And then seasons 2,3,&4 only had a few episodes and not the complete season? Don’t know if it’s Apple being dumb but I can’t follow a show that essentially has no finish.

    So terrible
You have to be paying people to leave good reviews. The acting on this podcast is cringe worthy. So horrible

    I like it!
It’s cleverly made, great mental visualization, sound effects are top notch. Carver sounds like and reminds me of Tobias Whale from Black Lightning ⚡️. Love Rust. The voice actors are great and storytelling is engaging.

Binged 8 seasons in 3 days!
The title is correct - I listened to all 8 seasons in three days. I constantly struggle to find a good audio fiction podcast, so when I came across this one I clung to it. I’m glad I did! I enjoy the gritty settings, watching (hearing) the characters grow throughout the story, and especially the fact that listeners aren’t overwhelmed by excessive world-building exposition or extensive character descriptions. The writer does an amazing job, better than some published books even. Of course the actors are great too. My only hope is that the remaining seasons don’t fall into the age-old repetition loop. I.e. the same bad guys pop up over and over and storylines remain too similar.

Really good story and sound design. Just one thing, Humana’s voice is sooooo whiny!

Unique, Imaginative, Spellbinding - Yeah, THAT Good!
So, I have become a Podcast snob. I havent had too many good experiences with them lately and am frustrated by the content. I search in every possible media platform to find a recommendation of something that finally hits the spot. Well, FINALLY this one came along. I wish I could convey just how good it is. It is a very well-written story, not complicated and yet not dumbed down. The actors are some of the best I've heard to date. They act in such a way that you feel you are standing right next to them through every experience and every challenge. I especially LOVE that the story has the main protagonist speaking through voice-over in that "Film Noir" type, "Private Eye Monologue" style. This Podcast is great! I had taken a break for a while until today and was excited to see that the newest season was completely finished - my guilty pleasure was ready to listen to. You should too!

    Hidden Gem
Like many, I finish a great immersive podcast then begin searching for another podcast to binge only to find a poor acting, clustered & faulty playwriting, and minimal sound design. This is not one of those. Glad I gave it a go.

    Great world
