    One awesome podcast
I’ve been listening to podcasts since 2012 and this is the most exciting interesting most provocative podcast that I’ve listened to the story was amazing. The voice acting was amazing. The characters were amazing. It just held you on the seat of your pants. It was one heck of a wild ride. I hope anything else they produce will be as good as cruxmont was.

    Really slow.
It has an interesting story, but it is incredibly slow. I know that it is an audio drama podcast, but there is way too much talking. The episodes are filled with useless infomation. I had to stop listening on episode five because it really wasn’t going anywhere.

    More!
Fabulous acting and writing, sad when it was over. Will look for other podcasts by this writer and actors/actresses.

    Love it!!!
This is an amazing story!! I loved everything about it. I come from a family that has, that is, and will be suffering from mentally degeneration. I understand and fear this fate for myself and children. But this story offers some home of another type of life. Thank you for the story.

    Love it
Great story and characters. Enjoyed it from beginning to end. Thank you

Quite a lot of heavy breathing…
…and a ridiculous and always overwrought main character, but interesting enough. Wish Neal would just shut up already, sometimes, and just listen!

    Not bad….
This is great so far! A bit of a slow build but it left me wanting to know more. I desperately wanted Colin to explain MORE. I don’t feel like we learned anything. And Neal (needs more voice acting experience to sound believable especially alongside Adjoa Andoh) was the most annoying man in the history of life. Like just listen sometimes!!!!!! 🤬 All in all this makes for a really good listen and it’s always good to hate a character a little.

Awesome storyline and a perfect starter podcast!
This was one of the first fictional podcasts I ever started. I wasnt sure if I would end up enjoying it or not but I ended up absolutely LOVING IT! The plot is very unique and and has the listener guessing what is behind all the stuff happening right up till the big reveal… and even after than theres… well if you listen youll find out for yourself ;) I freaking love the two main characters. They are the most unlikely duo but i love them so much. Only one complaint and its just me but sometimes Neil’s lines seemed a bit cheesy :) Other than that, its a wonderful short little podcast <3 Listen 🔫👁👁 rn

    Intriguing but a disappointment
I found the beginning intriguing and suspenseful. It held my interest. The ending was a terrible bore and disappointment. For something that you took such care to craft, the end was rush rush just get it over with and end it. Sorry I wasted my time on this one

    Great Listen!
Another wonderful project from Fool & Scholar! Wonderfully written, engagingly performed, just stellar work. Can’t wait to see what the next Don’t Mind story has in store, but would love to revisit old cruxmont someday and learn more.

    Entertaining
I don’t get the audio quality issues. Wish it was a bit creepier but that’s just me. Story is engaging and keeps me hooked.

    Great podcast
Agreeing with what others are saying, the audio is very inconsistent. Not just when characters are speaking, but when music comes on, commercials, any change in scenes causes the volume to be extremely loud or too quiet

    Wonderful storytelling!
I really loved the pacing of this story. I feel like a lot of audio drama podcasts ramp up super fast and then end unsatisfactorily. This story takes its time, gives you plenty of character development and backstory, and doesn’t rush the ending. Highly recommend!

    Good but not great
I enjoyed the story but Neil drove me crazy saying his brothers name constantly and terrible overly dramatic acting. He killed the story. “I need my brother Collin” omg please. But the rest was pretty good.
  • regan8or
    Enjoyable
I am interested in the story line & the acting is good, I just have to add my own ‘big agree’ on the inconsistency of the sound quality. It pulls you out of the experience, which is a bummer. Everything else is great.

    Constant Audio Adjustments
I enjoyed the story, it kept me hooked. The highlight was listening to Adjoa Ando’s voice. For me, she was perfect. All of the characters were portrayed very well. However, I found the audio left a lot to be desired. I had to constantly repeat sections, adjust the volume, put on my earbuds, remove my earbuds to hear, soften, and decipher. I still don’t know how it ended because the last line of the series was so soft and unclear against the other noise.

    Great but poor sound consistency
This is a good podcast. KA Statz is a great writer. The sound is loud then soft. I was unable to listen on the bus with wireless ear buds because I couldn’t hear at the highest volume. And even switching to wired earphones I had to turn it up and down frequently. Edit: I think the low sound has more to do with my wireless earbuds than the podcast. Some of the voices are much louder and some whispers much softer but I can hear everything with the wired earbuds. Excellent podcast!!

    So far, so good
I am through episode 2 and will adjust my rating if I need to as I go. So far the story has a good setup and the voice actors are excellent. The soundscape is also quite good, though you may need to adjust volume a bit in the first two episodes. Sound can vary from too low to too high, so it may be best to use headphones or earbuds that cancel out external noise so you can feel totally engulfed in the environment of the story. As for using audio speakers… having a cinematic approach would be ideal as opposed to pumping this story out with only a single Bluetooth speaker. I highly recommend Fool & Scholar for their varying podcast lineup and great production quality. Plus I also recommend a Realm+ subscription (get it on Realm’s site) so you can listen to F&S productions with no commercials, as well as all the other great stuff Realm offers. Commercials often kill the podcast experience and can ruin stories.

    Excellent (4.5 stars)
Story is compelling, acting is terrific, accompanying sound effects are above average, though perhaps a bit overused. It’s really good! Top notch production values, except one minor gripe: Knocking off one half star due to sound engineering issues. Playback needs to sound good over speakers, not just earbuds. Also, soundcheck needed — volume level of intro material varies from louder than content to MUCH louder than content. Not good.

    I love this show
It’s a great story and I think the acting is great. Looking forward to many more seasons!

    Volume adjustments needed
Really enjoying the story but frustrated with sound quality. There is high variability in the sound levels. Most actors seem like they’re whispering and I have to blast the volume. Others come in normally but overall it feels like they are not projecting their voices. I tried to listen in the car but couldn’t follow because I couldn’t hear. I have to listen through earbuds but would like to listen through other means. Hopefully this is better in the next season!
  • GraceOM
I spotted 2 red herrings so far! I think.
It’s a novella . Not a short story nor a book. Well written. Actors are doing well using their voices to develop their character with one exception. The audio is very well done. High standards. Got to listen with ear phones. The ambiance is a part of the character of cruxmont. I am anxious to listen to the rest but I will miss it when it is gone.
  • SarahWill412
    I’m confused.
Loved the story despite some difficulties with the volume. Earlier episodes have a lot of whisper and quiet talk, juxtaposed with the ads, it seems like some levels are off. Turn volume to full blast for the show and still unable to hear it well, then turn down when ads come blaring on. Still confused about the ending, like. Was there an ending? Did I miss something? Will there be more than 10 episodes? I’m confused.

    I had high hopes…
It was from the creators of The White Vault which was amazing. Have this a try and the most exciting part was when they announced next season it will be a different story/town/characters. This first season is just a chore to get through.
  • RL7Five
Started with an Interesting Concept, Ended Lazily
The story opened interestingly enough only to lose momentum, spin in place for multiple episodes, and fragment on the backend in a really lazy manner. As for the acting, with one exception, the two principle actors and the smaller supporting performances were very well executed. The exception is the actor who portrayed Colin. Absolutely awful. Not that the writing for his character has done him any favors, but he’s simply reading from the page. Flat and stilted. Strange casting choice.
  • Lymely Mama
Such a pleasure! I eagerly await each episode!!
The production is excellent! A delight for the ears. Crisp sound experience and a suspenseful story. At the end of each episode, it lets the mind loose with questions, like a good mystery novel.

    Great Creepy Podcast
Sound design, voice acting and plot are 10/10. So glad I found this right after finishing White Vault!

Well done but not much happening
This is an ok story that is better produced then the story is bearing out. This podcast is suffering what a lot that I have recently listened to, that they are not actually telling a story. It is just going from one occurrence to the next with no advance or understanding of what is happening. The two main characters are wandering around some secret town being told to leave over and over and over again. We as listeners and the characters so far (through ep 8) are given no urgency or reason for this. We are meant to think it is mysterious and spooky, it is coming off as repetitive and tedious. The every other week release and 6 minutes of ads at the beginning and 2-3 minutes at the end leaves very little content. The story has potential but it is becoming a bit of a bore to get through as it suffers from any meaningful story. My prediction is that there will be some shocking “twist” that was not set up well based on what has already happened. After this the podcast will break until season 2 comes out in early 2023. When this happens I may reconsider my 4 stars. I am hopeful it will find its way and have an interesting story that has yet to pull together. Keeping 4 stars as it is well produced, but the story is a real snooze. I am deleting from my feed as this is too boring to wait for a bi weekly release. I may return later to see what happens but if rating on story it would be a 2-3 stars. Please get more interesting, see you later.

    Pacing
I was going to rate it a 3 based on story, pacing of said story, and some of the performances but the production/sound design is really good, some of the performances (Gwen) are good, and the concept is interesting.
  • Babshageg
    Such a shame
The good: production value, voice acting, especially the older lady. The bad: the writing and the story! The story drags on and on. Hard to believe the same writers wrote The White Vault because this is so inferior to that show in every way.
  • McTag2
    I am HOOKED
Love this pod! Easy to follow, loads of inflection And a-ha moments at every corner. Definitely a worth while listen!!!! Sad season is complete 😕

    Very entertaining! I love it!
Unwell has become my favorite podcast until now. Now there’s a tie. I love Don’t mind Cruxmont and look forward to more.

Excellent Audio drama by and for good people
I was confused by the name but glad I let it’s vagueness draw me in. Stands alone as an engaging story. It is voiced by excellent actors and created by people who have reliably produced some of the best narrative podcasts out there. If the first episode is enjoyable to you relax, enjoy and keep listening. HOWEVER if you can’t handle the reminder that women’s rights are human rights you should stay away before you get triggered by a 30 second statement by the author in a later episode. People listen to this for fun and escape, and it is made by people who work hard to bring you free entertainment don’t deserve nor need “don’t be political” one stars reviewers pontificating how they can’t handle the human world outside their bubbles. Enjoy and don’t pay attention to the review bombing ineffectuals . 4.5/5

    I AM HOOKED!!
This podcast is quite well done. I’m hooked on the mystery…what is happening in Cruxmont? What happened of is happening to Collin? Will Gwen find a cure? I am definitely curiouser and curiouser! This is the second fictional, serialized podcast I’m listening to that has Alzheimer’s and memory loss as a theme (the other is the fabulous but much underrated “It Makes A Sound”) and it is worth noting that “Don’t Mind Cruxmont” handles it and other sensitive themes with quiet dignity. But the mystery is the real star of the podcast…seriously, what is happening??? I have my guesses but won’t list them here! Give this a listen as it is worthwhile!

    Phenomenal
This show is excellent — a rival to the best the BBC has to offer. Well acted, clean sound production, and a great and original story. And contrary to some of the reviews I’ve read, it is amazing and brave of them to bring light to the overturning of Roe v Wade knowing they will lose some listeners in doing so. It is a gateway to revoking the rights of many Americans whether they follow politics or not. Thank you for a great show and a great message!

    LOVE
Another amazing podcast. I love nearly all realm podcasts and this one is just as amazing. I also love that they use their platform to bring awareness to very real and terrible issues happening in the real world. To those people complaining about the podcast getting “all political”: move along and unfollow. This podcast has the CHOICE to produce what they want until that’s taken away from them as well.

    FANTABULOUS STORY!!!!
WOW!! Such an entertaining work of fiction. I have listened to every available episode straight through the night and OMG I need more but alas I am going to have to wait for the next episode to be released 😩😩😩 the agony... I am a three years old, I would definitely eat the marshmallow probably before the examiner even got a chance to leave the room😆😆😆Thank you for sharing your amazing talent with me!!

    The Don’t Mind Podcast
I was immediately drawn into the plot narrative. The voice actors have chemistry together. I was waiting with baited breath for Season 2.

    Engaging mystery
Engaging mystery and great work by the voice cast. Not crazy about the sound design though, sometimes the dialogue is very low compared to the background noises.

Fool & Scholar Nails It (again)
I was introduced to Fool & Scholar through White Vault (which is absolutely incredible), and have since listened to everything they have put out. I can’t wait to see where they go with Don’t Mind Cruxmont; I am definitely hooked! Great writing, voice actors are natural and smooth, very clean production….just sounds great with fantastic character development. This show is everything an audio drama can and should be! Well done Fool & Scholar!!!

I am so glad I finally listened.
The production is amazing, the story is really tense, and I am fully invested. As American I can attest The American sounds verrryyy American. 😊

    Agonising wait
I love this show and am both excited to have come across it when there was only one episode and deeply devastated by this because I have to wait for each one! The story is engaging and has the right amount of intrigue that keeps me coming back for more. This is a podcast to savour and listen to when the time is just right

    Expect the Unfathomable!
I am truly excited about this new Podcast by Fool & Scholar productions. Everything they touch turns to gold (with maybe one exception. RPG is not my cup of tea. I enjoyed their first “Hosted” RPG of The Dark Dice but admit I tried and gave up on the 2nd Series of Dark Dice, in fact I have neglected even sampling the newer versions. So please do not let any of my comments on Dark Dice dissuade you.) BUT PLEASE BE SURE TO BOTH NGE “The white Vault” ASAP BEFOR RELEASE of Season 5! Trust me. I am extremely picky and Whit Vault fills my void for all things I didn’t know I need! Even if you can’t binge the first 4 Seasons, please start with Season One, Episode One and dive deep into the mysteries and sheer terror of The White Vault. I promise l, you will not be disappointed!!! ~DB 🌸🕷👱‍♀️💜👻
