Christine and guests made “Work Check”! a compelling listen. If I could give it a higher rating, I would. The podcast clearly demonstrated the complex dynamic of the modern workplace and how it affects people.

    Take two!
Or a few minutes to listen Christine and guest debaters discuss work etiquettes to “hmm” moments that has us wondering “how do others handle this?”. Infused with data points and research, the analysis rich debates provide fodder for my own workplace situations. As colleagues enter our hybrid-work home environments, “Work Check!” provides us a light-hearted and deep inflection on the everyday issues we struggle through against the sobering background of a COVID-19 pandemic. Definitely recommend this podcast to my workmates and friends, looking forward to the next season!!

    Loved work check
The debate format made it very interesting, and I was impressed with all of the research from which they quoted. Learned a few things about keeping the video on, during virtual meetings, such as camera fatigue, which could result in decreased input, and also reaction stress hormone production.

    Learn something every episode
I don’t agree with all the points, but there’s always at least one thing in every episode I learn. Well, most episodes.

Opens up perspectives. That’s what matters.
I don’t think this show is as much about debating the right way to do things as much as it is about challenging the status quo. Love the agile episode, love the diversity and inclusion episode! Would love an episode on whether feedback is overrated.

Love the episodes so far and the fact that they cut out banter and go straight into the debate!

    Love it!
I know everyone's prepped beforehand but the debaters surprisingly seem like they want to win. I'd like to see an episode on performance review practices.

    Great Show!!
The hackathons episode made me think about the downsides of forced employee engagement. I hadn't realized my team might not even want to participate.

    Worth a listen
Legitimately a good podcast! 🤘And not in a “just because I work there too” kind of way.

Great presentation A good well prepared debate
  • Witty and highly relevant!
    Witty and highly relevant!
I checked out the first episode of Work Check (the one about “dogfooding”) and was impressed by the fun debate-style format and knowledgable guests. Definitely gave me some new perspectives to consider. My husband walked into the kitchen to make breakfast while the episode was playing and instead of returning to his trusty armchair, he sat down in the kitchen so he could listen while he ate. Trust me: that is a *massive* endorsement.
