    Great podcast
These guys are great - a comedian and an author - both of which I’ve listened to on their other podcasts (boars/roof-tenting). What a great combo. Just recently I’ve gone back to listen to their ‘takes’ on Jurassic Park and Twilight as I’ve gotten to those books, very cool. Keep up the good work!!!

    Always a pleasure to listen.
Maggie, please do a karaoke cover of “Teenage Dirtbag” called “Female Dirtbag” with lyrics about Michelle Rodriguez. We all want it!

    Likeable and witty hosts
It’s always a good day when I see a new episode of Failure to Adapt is available. The hosts are smart and funny and I just always enjoy listening to their discussions. They are great on their own, but when they decide to bring in a guest you can trust it will be someone who adds something special to the mix. I don’t have any petty differences with this podcast, don’t change a thing!

Well researched and so much fun
We need more episodes! Your humor, wit and movie/topic chooses are great (well, except Twilight, but nobody’s perfect). A great listen!

    Delightful
I love a new way to examine old favorites and Failure to Adapt provides! Maggie and Red bring a warm respect and often deep love to the material and it's so interesting to compare the same story over different media.

    Even when she’s technically wrong.

Really fun pod about books and their adaptations
Enjoyed going through the episodes that I had read/seen in the past. The Twighlight Saga, hoo boy, please keep doing those in season 2, so funny. Really like the hosts back and forth and format of the show. I even saved a few episodes to read the books so I could be fully engaged while listening. Sometimes I'm totally team Red (The Golden Compass), other times I'm with Maggie (Stardust). Also the sound quality is top notch.

An Escape From My Old Standbys
I was tired of my podcasts I’d been listening too long Like a worn out recording Of a favorite song So I was scrolling through new ones To download instead And when I heard this one That’s when I said I really like Failure to Adapt It’s an excellent show They compare different media You should give it a go! For real though, Maggie and Red are excellent hosts and every episode is super entertaining regardless of if I am very familiar with the source material or not. Episodes where they disagree are especially fun, and I am always excited when they announce what adaptation will be covered by the show next.

    I feel smart.
Love this podcast! Red and Maggie don’t just make me laugh out loud. Their sometimes silly, sometimes intellectual dissection of cultural touchstone movies and books reinforces my idea that you CAN learn something from just about anything. Even Twilight.

Like listening to your smartest friends
When, I ask you, is the last time you heard the word “bloviate” on a podcast? I had never until the Silence of the Lambs ep of this fantastic show. The hosts crack me up and their commentary is sharp and sumptuous at every turn. I wanted to lay on my belly and kick my feet up to listen to it like an old timey kid listening to the radio. I was/am enrapt.

    Sensual and Fragrant
This podcast is more perfect than Edward’s glittering vampire abs. When listening, an alluring fragrance seeped from my earphones, like spring wildflowers.

    Twilight was Hilarious
So far this is amazing. The discussion about Twilight had me dying of laughter at 11 pm. I also agree with Sarah on Alice and Bella so I was glad to hear someone else say it

Improved my day, cleared my skin
I subscribed immediately upon hearing that Maggie Tokuda-Hall and Red Scott had a new podcast, and the first episode was everything I dreamed it could be. Funny, smart, perhaps the best possible distraction from the horror show of contemporary life.
