    Love It
I am so grateful I discovered the Pour Over, I have been reading and listening for months now. I love being informed without being overwhelmed and depressed. Having the news mixed with a Christ centered perspective helps me stay focused on Him and realize how easy it is for me to get pulled down by the news if I’m not careful. I’m a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and highly recommend this news source for all Christians. Thank you!

    Fantastic tool!
I love the vibe of this show so much. It has become a part of my weekly routine and I feel like it helps me engage news in a much more Christlike way than I was before.

    Good update
I like the focus on top stories and the integration of biblical texts. The narrators are clearly reading a script (which make sense) but it doesn’t always sound conversational or natural.

    Succinct and Refreshing
I greatly appreciate the scriptural reminders applied throughout the episodes. Unbiased perspectives and good follow-up resources suggested in each episode.

    Informed, not overwhelmed.
Just the right amount of information to be informed, without being totally overwhelmed with the worlds problems. Love that it is said in a matter-of-fact way, in a neutral tone without the hype, and without tricky or misleading perspectives, just the truth, followed by the absolute truth of God‘s word.

    First time listener
I heard your podcast referenced on another podcast. I am way impressed by your clear concise and conscious delivery of a wide range of pertinent news of the day in the world. I loved the Christian worldview of intermittent scriptures throughout that keep us grounded in the truth and way of Jesus. I look forward to being a weekly listener. Praise God for your faith and good works.

    Quick news with biblical worldview
This is a great way to keep up with major news stories while meditating on how the Bible instructs how to live with hope and love. The structure helps see news events with hope instead of fear.

Happy to have a fellow Christian point me to the pod worlds news through a Biblical lense.

    Third Route
So much of the news is presented from and encouraging consumers to be siloed. The Pour Over changes the focus of how to think about news in light of the things that really matter.

    Only News I Consume
YES!! Who is the new guy?! I truly do love this news source. It tells me everything I actually need to know, with a Kingdom perspective, and none of the extra sensationalized stuff. That said, the newscasters sound like they are trying to be robots and they do tend to recycle the same scripture references over and over. Today’s newscaster actually spoke like a human and had some tangible personality. Keep up the good work!
  • Thankful and Thinner
    Highly recommend!
I just started listening to The Pour Over, and am so thankful for a newscast that helps me think rightly about some of the hard things going on in the world. I appreciate the way they are striving to give the facts with clear objectivity, and to give a helpful perspective without being biased in one direction or another politically. This is very well done and worth your time, and won’t get your stomach churning!

    Favorite news outlet
Love the news given without spin, the bits of humor that is not overdone, and the laid-back background music. So happy when it is MWF. Even my kids like to listen on the way to school.

    The Pour Over
I enjoy listening to the Podcast each MWF while I eat lunch in our living room. I really enjoy the Scripture that is interjected with the news. Keep up the Lord’s work. God Bless your Broadcasts and all you do. Praise be to God. Donna, Wyoming✝️

    Refreshing Approach
Only issue with this podcast is the music / the repetitive tunes are distracting and they sound like third rate quality ( warbly and strange) more variety might help, but definitely stop playing or drastically lower volume while people are delivering news. If I have to listen to the same music every day, I’m not sure I can do it.

    Perfect news app
Exactly what I was looking for. Only the news and no opinions. Refreshing.

    Information>opinion
I love TPOP! It keeps me informed without the usual bias of the mainstream media while helping me focus on Christ. The only thing I would change is making the episodes even longer!
  • Mslizzymarie
    Nice podcast
Love how you guys always keep me informed

This is the best podcast to listen to!
This is an amazing podcast! It’s a good way to know what’s going on with the world. And it’s not opinionated.

    Lose the music
Great concept! But please lose the music. Not necessary and takes away from your product. Don’t take my word for it - focus group it.

    Just what I’m looking for
The his podcast is short and concise. I can listen to it as I get ready for the day and not be overwhelmed or discouraged. I love that it allows me to keep my finger on the pulse of National and International news so I can go read more on a topic if I need to. I highly recommend this podcast.
  • B.U.D.D.Y.
    Honestly:
It’s just some young (sounding) people reading headlines void of context, interspersed with scriptures void of context, with a background of annoyingly dreary background music. If you are interested in really learning what is going on in the world you will want to look elsewhere.
  • krwbeck
Informative, encouraging — but not as listener friendly as it could be
So much to love about this podcast! But it’s sometimes hard to follow given the puns, word play, non-mainstream references, and occasional clunky phrasing. By writing episodes based on plain language principles, the TPO team could make this podcast more listener friendly.

    Quick blast of Truth
Pointing even the bad news back to the Truth of God’s Word is why I keep listening to The Pour Over. Unbiased reporting and a quick overview is how I describe TPO. Sometimes I think it could be longer because there is so much more news which could be filtered through Scripture.
  • Sucker me once
    News yes, background Muzak no
I do appreciate the quick overview of the news, but it is read over the top of an annoying and incessant sound track of monotonous drum beats and chords.
  • Dyl.23
    Quick, Concise, Fact Based!
The Pour Over is a great Factial Based news source that allows reminds of the greater hope we have in Jesus. I also like that it’s short and concise!
  • heeeeeeeeaven
    Waited on this for years
The Pour Over delivers accurate and concise news from a Christian worldview 3x/week inside of 10 minutes. Perfect.
  • DHeckman98
    Succinct and Center on Christ
These days it’s hard to find a news source that adheres and believes that Jesus is the messiah and that the Word of Scripture is God-breathed. It’s even harder to find something that checks that box, remains cut-and-dry, doesn’t add unnecessary clutter to an already inundated space. PLUS - the puns are always funny 💜

    Thank You, God!!!
I thank God 3 times a week for TPO. It’s so easy to listen to a story, pause, and pray over the news, then listen to the next story. I think Bill Johnson said, “Unless it sparkles with hope, it’s not from God.” I never leave the podcast anxious, afraid, or angry.

    No “Fluff”
Thank you for keeping the episodes fast, clean, accurate, and adding in the Bible! It’s nice to have somewhere to get news that doesn’t have all the “fluff”.

    Balanced and focused on Christ
This a great, quick and focused podcast. It is politically balanced and focuses on Christ.
  • Fairfield Mac
    Clean and quick!

    I love the Pour Over
Quick and concise updates on news in the world with a Biblical perspective added after. I love that it isn’t encouraging you to lean one way or the other, instead sharing an unbiased account of events and then reminding us to use the Bible as our guide for determining how we respond in our lives. 5 stars all day!!!!
  • jonscottworship
    Well Rounded!
If you’re like me, you might sometimes feel that you live under a rock. It’s hard to keep up with the world news. And sometimes you don’t even want to keep up with it because of all of the controversy. The Pour Over podcast might not get it all right. And there’s some topics where I might want them to take an explicit stance. I find myself personally somewhere in the middle of: “Christians should take a strong social justice stance” versus “let’s just stay out of earthly news”. From what I’ve read in their email newsletter and in their podcast, they seem to keep everything balanced and neutral. I LOVE that they include scripture to put things into perspective. Negative news shouldn’t be belittled (and some of their phrasing might sound like it’s being belittled), but we do have to remember that Jesus and the Kingdom of God exceed any earthly news.

I have an idea about the news again!
After just basically ignoring the news for a few years, I find that I can hear what I need to and get a facts-based snippet instead of a agenda-based version. I do donate and feel it’s well worth my money. Thank you.
  • Annakate93
    Balanced and positive
I love the pour over so much!! It helps me stay informed without getting pulled into the rabbit holes or spending most of my time sifting through the reporters own clear personal bias. The pour over is positive and balanced and helps me fix my eyes on Christ!

News Facts and biblical thoughts to encourage
Usually news are depressing. They affect my mood. But this podcast keeps me informed and encouraged with biblical truths that keep me focused and grounded on Gods view of His good creation regardless of what’s going on.
  • Mooses123
    Frustrated
Maybe you reported on the Shifa Hospital prematurely. I hope so. You said there was no evidence of hostages being there. IDF showed video of a woman’s clothing on a bench that had ropes tied on it. They showed baby diapers and a baby bottle. And in one of the areas just outside the hospital the dead body of one of the kidnapped. If that is not evidence, I’m not sure what it is. If you are getting your news from Al-Jezeera then it’s no wonder this would be the report.
  • Brice C. Hastings
Great way to get quick news
This has been such a great podcast. I love the Christian conservative approach to the news. They also do not show disrespect to opposing views, they just state facts.
  • Grandma from Iowa
    Facts, not agendas
