Started to listen in on the History of Silk podcast. The male host is so bombastic that the female host is practically shouting to get a word in… I clicked out.

This podcast is great for learning about random and fun topics in history and geopolitics.

This is my all time favorite history podcast. Stakui and Gabby, you two make a great duo, and I love hearing you both. I just want to know if you could start cussing less. You seem to start cussing more and more in the new episodes, and in my opinion, it detracts/takes away from the episode. Thanks!

The show seems well researched, and I like its guts just fine, but I don’t love its premise. This dude is mansplaining history to his wife. Especially when she’s pretending to be ignorant, it gets a bit gross.

Personally this was the best episode in awhile. The minimal conversation allowed the story to actually flow. I find the frequent UNRELATED conversations to remove me from the narrative. The questions in this episode were far better as an audience stand in. It felt like a class with someone quickly raising their hand to clarify what everyone is thinking but can’t say. Long time enjoyer of the show!

Came to this podcast from Box of Oddities. Very interesting and fun to listen to. And I am just cracking up at the butt hurt listener who stopped listening because of a Spanish commercial. SpEaK EnGlIsH. Hahahaha. Hilarious.

While Steven is a great host and makes the story of history entertaining, Gabby is the best part of the podcast. Whenever she isn’t on, while still educational, it isn’t as entertaining. She has a knack of asking the question I’m thinking of while listening.

Was listening to Robert the Bruce. A Spanish speaking commercial came on. This is an English speaking country. Nothing else. We welcome anyone & everone to America. But to live by our Constitution & Laws & Language. Due to this comercial I will no longer be listening to your Podcast.

Love this podcast! Stak and Gabby are very funny and entertaining together while the content itself is really interesting and educational. You’re learning cool thing without even realizing it! Highly recommended!

I wish they made a massive series about the history of sabaton and the in depth history of the each song and go through each album

I love the show, not sure why there are so many complaints about Gabby, tends to detour into adjacent facets of history. I genuinely feel it add to the show.

Great research and insightful historical perspective - at first I thought her input was funny but after a few episodes, it detracted from the insight . I’m dropping off, her voice is annoying and idiotic ; good luck .

Love the podcast I’ve been listening for a while now and regardless of whether or not I think I’ll like certain topics I still tend to give them a listen because the banter and homey feeling of the podcast genuinely makes learning fun and enjoyable.

Great content and delivery, but the repeated interruptions for inane comments is distracting at best. Girlfriend needs to reel it in and stop the over the top idiocy.

I listened to a few episodes and I really enjoyed the content being covered, but after a while I couldn’t take the hosts seriously. Their lack of maturity caused me to unfollow the show.

I love this husband and wife telling various history stories .I find it hard to wait for the next episode

Fix the audio volume. Ads are deafening loud but the actual podcast is really quiet

This podcast is satisfactory

The primary reason I listen to this show is to hear the healthy, jovial banter between two people who clearly love each other. Steven clearly admires and adores his wife, Gabby. They obviously enjoy each others quirks and appreciate their partner’s area of expertise. In addition to learning history, I hope people are also learning how they should treat their partners- and the level of acceptance and kindness they should expect from a partner.

This is one of if not the best podcast I’ve ever listened to.

I’m over 15 minutes in one episode and the hosts won’t stop talking about garbage, blah blah, blah. It was so bad they had to have a commercial break before they could get into the story. Podcasters like this - I. Just. Can’t. And for some dumb reason the woman host DOESN’T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HISTORY! Who thought that’d be a great idea??? The man laughs so much…Like these are grown up topics - GROW UP! This is so stupid, they might as well be children. I’m going back to ‘Conflicted’, I feel like I’m getting dumber.

The more ads the better. Just have an episode full of ads. Keep doing amazing.

Awesome History pod. They got a great dynamic as a couple. But seriously, not enough ads. If you’re too lazy to hit the forward button twice you have bigger problems. But more ads means more money for them and more episodes on cool topics. And more warthogs for their daughters birthdays 💯

I really do like the topics presented and it’s entertaining, but the sheer amount of ads kills most of my enjoyment. There is no reason to put an ad break every ten minutes. Other podcasts I listen to do maybe 2-3 ad-breaks per episode, that’s fine. But there’ll be maybe 10-15 ad-breaks every episode in this podcast

Like it but the tangents can get distracting. Too many adds.

After many years of refusing to be pulled into podcasts, this is the first one I’ve listened to and it was well worth it. Starting from the beginning and planning to get caught up.

Between the terribly placed ads, sheer number of ads, and the sound board that stops the show and takes me out of it completely, I have a hard time deciding what’s worst. I enjoy him and his wife, especially the history aspect, but the ads are ridiculous and the sound board doesn’t flow

As a history nerd who is a bit overwhelmed by how much there is to learn, this podcast is perfect! I love hearing history about places like Iran and China, that I know very little about. Also, Gabby is the sweetest human being on earth, and you two are so cute together :)

Great show, I love the variety and minutiae of the content. I have been that person that has a head full of insignificant facts and this podcast has added to my repertoire. I have to wonder what these idiots are complaining about audio quality, even in the first podcasts? I’m not listening to Mozart or for the audio quality, I am listening for the content and as long as it is intelligible I could care less. I listen with earbuds during work and other than some volume level changes have not noticed anything of issue. Spend your money on your daughters college fund! If someone comments they are no longer listening or following the show because of the audio quality they are not the type of simpering whiner you want as a follower anyway, they are probably the same people that tear into you for your mispronunciations as well. Worry about the quality of your content and not these other insignificant trivialities. Keep up the great content!

This is one of my favorite podcasts I have found. I can’t say enough great things! The variety is great and the length of episodes is perfect!

The podcast is nice and informative, and information is presented in an entertaining way, but the audio levels being so low, combined with the ads being so much louder, and there being no outro or intro when it comes to ads means my eardrums get shattered every time an ad comes on :(

One of my favorite history podcasts. He breaks down historical events in an entertaining and easy to follow way. The back and forth interactions between him and his wife are entertaining and add a lightheartedness to some serious topics.

Originally saw YouTube shorts from Stak and eventually led me to this. I love the delivery of this. Gabby adds so much to this as well. I’ve been listening to this while I do work at school. As a historian in the making, I love both learning just random tidbits about the past and getting a few chuckles here and there. Keep at it!

I think if you are under the age of 30, there must be a required quota of saying the word “literally”. The concept seemed fun, but I can’t listen to someone who uses the word “literally” literally eight times in 10 minutes - so I literally don’t know what the show ended up being about.

Your all’s dynamic is adorable, just sayin’ It’s a fun, random history podcast with a good delivery and not too heavy or serious. Very much enjoying it(and that you have new episodes every week, most of my other history podcasts take FOREVER to generate content😂) Great podcast, give it a try.
