Great listen Ben for non comics fans
This is a great podcast, even for people who do not read comics on a regular basis. The mix of the hosts is great because two of them are very well-versed in the DC comics universe and one is newer to the Comics universe. Together they have great discussions That tied together the DC comics as well as the other media that comes out from DC.

DC Studios Showcase as an unqualified co-host problem
What is it like to get paid to talk about something you know nothing about? That's the burning question for co-host Tyler Coates, who has zero knowledge about DC. From not knowing the character Cyborg to 'those pointy things Batman throws' (they are called Batarangs, Tyler), each episode typically contains at least one jaw-dropping lack-of-knowledge bomb from the unqualified Coates. For an official (supposedly professional) podcast, there is no justification for Coates being present. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of knowledgeable podcasters, streamers, and broadcasters who could be in that chair, providing knowledge about DC to the audience. Make the audience smarter instead of wondering why one of the co-hosts is so often lost and confused.

    Fun show
Fun show but we need more Coy, who is the one of the most knowledgeable people in comics.

    Enjoyable So Far
So far I’ve been enjoying the podcast for what it is. At times it can feel a bit lost when they try to wrap it up. Overall though it is entertaining and enjoyable.

    Horrible
2/3 of the hosts are extremely annoying.

    Great show
This is a great show, the volume is a little all over

    Can do without
One should not referred to Mr. Lee as “mother——-“ Lee. He is not some pro wrestler about to do a promo.

Finally a great host for DC Podcast!
Absolutely love Frankey as host! So engaged and gets us excited for all things DC 🫰🏻

How do you have an episode about a trailer when the host didn’t watch it?
This has to be the biggest issue with media journalism now. Your job is to talk about a trailer. You need to watch the trailer. You shouldn’t need to be convinced to do the basics of your job. Turned it off right that nonsense

    ???
They do an episode on a movie trailer and one of the hosts doesn’t even watch the trailer lol

DC Studios Showcase needs a different voice
First I’m going to plug Darrel Taylor to co host, I had to stop listening because the hosts missed the mark on some major dc comics lore. From Task Force X to the Bride of Frankenstein, I heard the podcast as a well energized conversation between three people not really in the know. I was correcting their knowledge too many times along the way and had to press stop.

    Great guests
Lauren Franc - the show runner- is so amazing. So intelligent and deep layers woven into the show. I appreciate her wisdom in the complexities of society for all beings. The host struggled to understand a larger whole outside herself

    Great interviews
I love behind behind the scenes content but the host has a way to make all the interviews interesting and asks really good analysis questions of the show runners. Never boring and made a very dark show relatable.

    Love the show & podcast
I actually liked the penguin and was rotting for him until the last episode. Now I have nothing but hate. They tried to warn me that he wasn't loyal to anyone. 😭😭😭 Glad I have this podcast to understand the characters more. 💕

Feels like I’m at a wrap party dinner!
I love it when a host has the ability to bring everyone together so it feels like I’m sitting at the same table. Really neat takes into the collaborative art that is TV/filmmaking and you really get a sense of what it was like in pre-production and during filming.

    Great show
I love ‘The Penguin’ show, and the ability to listen to a deeper insight from the creators is a fantastic supplement to it, thanks!

The host’s voice doesn’t match the tone of the show
The host, Amy Nicholson, has a voice is way too wispy and breathy for the tone of The Penguin, nor does she have anything of value to add to the conversation.

    intriguing and different
very cool and different approach to the companion podcast - very informative look into making of the penguin series.

    Here for the Interviews
Not to the level of other companion podcasts. There’s no behind the scenes/deep dive. Interviews are so so but worth the listen hearing the actors talk a little bit. Skip this and watch the show.

    Terrible Hosts
Great Show ruined by millennials who laugh at themselves too much. Bad companion podcast by people missing the point.

Not the PeaceMaker Podcast Fans Want
It’s a shame because this show does warrant a great companion podcast but this is so cringey and shallow. It’s cool they get actors to do interviews but what’s the point when they ask the dumbest press junket questions about nothing? I’ve heard Ify be funny before but seems like they are forcing him to be corny here. I wish HBO had outsourced to any of the thousands of great pop culture podcasters who could’ve done it justice and gave them the press and access to the actors instead.

    Bad
Just give an honest review/walkthrough of the show. Feels like a PR kit. Script is horrendous

    Awful
One of the worst hosted and disingenuous podcasts I’ve ever heard. Just a bunch of nervous fake laughing repeating obvious things. How this has a 4.4 rating is beyond me. Cringe central.

Show is great, this podcast is not
    See title.

    No organization
This is just two people talking about random points of an episode. No structure, no progression, no purpose. I’ve watch the episodes and still can’t follow what they’re talking about.

    Great show, terrible podcast
The hosts have no chemistry, half the time their awkwardly laughing over each other, and the the questions they have for their guests just seem made up on the spot. I’ve made it an episode and a half in and it’s almost unlistenable. Love peacemaker and was hoping for some behind the scenes and good interviews this podcast is barely a fan show that wasn’t done well.

Good content but writing is meh
Ify and Fiona are easy to listen to. The interviews have some good content. The writing for the show however sounds like it’s from a marketing department and it’s distracting. Like hearing press junket interviews, a Cinema Con intro or Disney+ day pitch for a new show. We’re already watching the show, we don’t constantly need to be sold on watching the show. I’d love if the hosts were allowed more freedom like Phase Zero pod, but it’s sounding more like The Boys pod.

    Chaotic and inauthentic
Hopefully this podcast gets better as it’s legs get underneath it, but the first 15 mins of the hosts trying to recap the story so far is terrible. They feel overly energetic and inauthentic about something they haven’t described. Neither can’t articulate what’s actually happening in a linear fashion. They’re constantly repeating each other’s phrases in what feels nervous and awkward. It seemed to have promise in episode 1 where James Gunn comes in but I’d prefer to just listen to him. The hosts feel in the way. I had to turn it off. Overall, very rough start to a companion podcast for an amazing show.

Always listen to anything with Iffy and/or Fiona.
Glad to see you guys presenting this. Wanted to watch Peacemaker after a commercial I saw then to see y’all names pop up on a podcast for it, absolutely brilliant. Iffy and Fiona much love from the AH community!
  • Cdwill77
    Very insightful
Enjoying the show. The podcast is a great side kick to the show and helps to point out things might have missed in the show
  • TheRealBillMeeks
    This isn’t a fan podcast
    It’s a PR kit.
