    Certain language
Hi Dr. Shahine. I have been following this podcast for a while now and learned so much. Thank you. In the last couple of episodes, I noticed certain language that kinda makes me feel uncomfortable, and that is the use of “people with ovaries and uterus “. I felt that was catering for certain audience and not the broader audience. Maybe saying and female might cover all without excluding some. Thanks!

    Insightful, Made for Fertility community
A great mix of education on fertility facts mixed with emotional support. I feel like Dr. Sheheen really gets it and I appreciate her compassion when she discusses topics and shares her own perspective.

    Thoughtful, engaging and informative
As an OB Gyn seeing women at all stages of their reproductive journeys, I find this podcast so valuable. Dr. Shahine has a true gift of being able to explain difficult and complicated concepts — in a calm and compassionate manner, understanding the unique perspectives that patients with reproductive struggles face. Her research is focused and up to date, and you can tell she deeply cares about teaching us about all things reproductive health! In particular, her episode on getting pregnant after age 40 was so informative — I have recommended it already to many patients over and over! This is one of my favorite medical podcasts out there.

    So helpful for Family!
My daughter and son-in-law are working through infertility. She suggested that I listen to this podcast to better understand the issues and be better able to support them. This has been so helpful for me to ask intelligent questions and be more empathetic. I have found these podcasts to be extremely helpful. Thank you!

    Not just for moms
As a father and husband of someone who has gone through the IVF process, Dr. Shahine’s show has helped me be a better partner to my wife as she has navigated this world, and has given me a more nuanced appreciation for the struggles that the infertility community goes through. Kudos to an incredible show, Dr. Shahine! I encourage everyone to listen!

    Worth Your Time
I have only listen to a handful of episodes at this point, and wow, have they been so helpful! This podcast has been an excellent blend of understanding the logistics of fertility treatment as well as the emotional side of such a hidden and misunderstood, yet common phenomenon. I have had my life and experience in this process validated so many times. Thank you Dr. Shahine for your wisdom and heart in helping us navigate such a transformative process.

    Best fertility podcast ever!
I couldn’t be more grateful for Dr. Shahine and her podcast… as a mom of one going through recurrent miscarriages she has made a pretty dark period of my life less isolating and has even brought me some hope for the future. By engaging with experts and other leaders in the fertility realm she has elevated the health issues affecting millions of women and created a safe space for connection and support. I even found a support group for moms with secondary infertility through this podcast (Holding Both, run by Allie Karagozian)! Thank you, Dr. Shahine, for all that you do for the field of fertility :)

I’ve been loving this podcast. As an OBGYN who faced many years of infertility and has walked that line between patient and provider, I really resonate with how Dr Shahine handles these topics. Compassion, care, true stories, relatable experiences, expert insights. It really has it all!

    I love this podcast
I love the format of this podcast- People share their stories about infertility, research about infertility, or their experiences (good or bad) about their journey in infertility. I’ve learned so much. Thank you for all that you do! Love your Instagram page as well!

    Powerful interview
I can’t get over how good this podcast was. You are very natural in this role and it was a really powerful interview (really sounded like a conversation). Amanda Knox is a force. She is really eloquent and I am so embarrassed to say that I am one of those people who think of her going to jail for murdering her roommate and not the fact that she was screwed by the system and the media and imprisoned for something she did not do. Also, what a powerful thought about how beyond being imprisoned, your ability to conceive and be a mother is also taken from you. The miscarriage rate was also an eye opener. Learned so much!! What an amazing thing you are putting out in the universe💙💙

    My favorite infertility podcast
Dr. Shahin is funny and very good about clarifying information to the listeners during her interviews. I appreciate the personal stories and the humor. Infertility needs a little humor. I'm sad that I'm already done with the whole season. Can't wait for season 2!

    Please stop saying “naturally”.
This is a very good podcast, however the host should do a term correction. Please stop using the term to conceive “naturally“. The correct term is “without intervention”. To use the “natural “term just perpetuates the stigma around using assisted reproductive technology.

The show that was missing from the podcast world
You don’t have to feel alone anymore. Just in the first couple episodes I’ve gotten a better outlook on my infertility. To be able to laugh through the pain and also getting support when needed. I’m so glad this podcast exists! 😁

    Accessible & relatable!
Dr. Lora Shahine has a unique ability to transform real scientific information into a relatable, easy to understand, and much less intimidating form. This Podcast, along with her blog, social media, and other amazing resources, is yet another wonderful way to reach a wide range of people and provide information in a easy to digest and uplifting manner. Infertility is HARD, but finding accessible and accurate information about the topic shouldn’t be. As a former infertility patient herself, Dr. Shahine understands how important community is - whether that be through a variety of digital platforms or otherwise. You are not alone!

    Finally!!
I have been wondering if Dr. Shahine was ever going to do a podcast! I loved this first episode and totally related to so many things Karen talked about! I’m an ICU nurse and I still felt so lost when I first started fertility treatments, it was like they expressed everything I’ve been feeling!

    Must Listen!
I’ve followed Dr. Shahine’s funny, compassionate, informative Instagram for years —@drlorashahine —and this podcast sounds like it will be the same personal, thoughtful approach to families and fertility. It is a great listen for anyone interested in gaining understanding and insight into fertility treatment. The first episode is laugh out loud (while cringing?) funny. Thank you!

    Excellent
Dr. Shahine is an excellent host- not only is she an expert in fertility but she’s also understanding, compassionate and aware of the challenges many couple are facing while trying to build their families. I thought I had heard/read everything about the fertility world- I had not. Highly recommend.
