The hosts set a cozy (like the "cozy" mystery genre) tone with their Midwestern good natureness. (Warning : the first 20 minutes or so of every episode is chit chat but it's fun.) The recap/reaction is thoughtful and thorough.

So I’ve loved The Dead Files and paranormal shows for forever… TDF and Kindred Spirits are the best shows. I’ve had many paranormal encounters in my life. And I’ve only just recently gotten into listening to podcasts, since my ADHD makes it hard to follow listening… But I have trouble getting to sleep, so I solved two problems in one. Amy and Megan are the quintessential midwestern Gen X and Xennial women; smart, friendly, hilarious (and sometimes self deprecating), compassionate and genuine. They together with AP say pretty much what we all think when we watch The Dead Files. They give a fair platform for former clients to come on and give interviews, which gives us so much more insight into the show. They ask fantastic questions, and sometimes ponder aloud new things we may never have thought of before. It is really fun to listen along at their antics and hear about their lives, hear about and from mediums and shamans and the others they have on, and share our love for Amy and Cindy’s work on the show. So many times I’m thinking “Me tooooo!!” and wishing I could jump in. Listening to this podcast is just like listening to the friends you just haven’t met yet.

I’m sure these ladies are lovely, but I am almost half an hour into the first episode I picked and STILL nothing about the topic! I’ve given up. I wish podcasters would just get to the point. I’m not here to learn about podcasters private lives, I’m here to listen to the subject matter. I won’t be listening to any more…

These two mesh so well together, and make you feel like a part of their conversation. Love listening.

Love this podcast! Amy and Megan are engaging, funny, relatable hosts. They make you feel like your with friends discussing your favorite ghost show. The Dead Files sometimes feels like a show I’ve seen but no one else has, so I’m so jazzed I found a podcast that discusses the episodes, often pointing out what I thought watching the episode! Definitely one to put on your list of favorites!

Amy and Megan do a phenomenal and entertaining job of recounting and dissecting episodes of The Dead Files! Their recaps give interesting detail and great insight. Overall a fantastic listen, even if you haven’t seen the episode they’re talking about (or the show for that matter, though I suggest watching the show, it’s pretty great).
