I’ve heard their ad read enough times and judging by the sounds and quality of it, I can tell the podcast will be trash.

Rob and Rich bring more of their signature charm and humor to this fun recap-rewatch-episodic review podcast. If you’ve ever watched Supernatural, this is a delightful way to get more of two awesome personalities from the cast. And if you haven’t, this is a great companion podcast to listen to as you watch the show for the first time. Finally, if you’ve ever been to a Supernatural convention, this dynamic will give you more of that satisfying feeling of being with your favorite cast for a fun hour or more. Highly recommend. Oh, and for those interested in “how the sausage is made” and behind the scenes info, you can learn SO much from the hosts and their guests who range from crew members to production designers to sound designers and engineers to directors. It’s a wonderfully insightful way to learn about the magic of episodic television production.

I have a few (3-4) staple podcasts in my library and I don’t know what I would do without Supernatural: Then & Now. Even if I weren’t a super fan of the show, the ridiculousness and hilarity of Rich & Rob provides me with so much joy! Absolutely a must listen every week!

I have watched supernatural multiple times and rob and rich do such a great job keep up the great work guys ☺️

Rachel Miner’s Meg just lights up this episode. The writers give her such wonderful dialogue to play with and she delivers it with a sassyness of Mae West. I luv this interview. Rachel is as tough as Meg and a joy to listen to.

This show started out really great, and there are still good aspects of it, but over time Rob has gotten better but Rich has become more annoying. He can be funny but it’s obvious he thinks he’s extremely funny, but it gets tiresome with his interruptions and repetitive juvenile jokes. I don’t mind them once in a while but he acts more like an irritating teenager than a show host. Getting to the point where I will just read the transcripts so I don’t get annoyed by his immaturity.

These guys have the pull to get well know guests, but it’s hard to listen to - contrast with Ghostfacers, which is headed by two hardcore fans of the show, not a couple of guys looking for something to do during COVID. Ghostfacers is funny, witty and intelligent. Give that one a listen.

Just started this podcast and love it!

I have been listening to this podcast off and on when I have time and I absolutely love it. I love the comedy mixed in with genuinely educational facts. I’m on season 3 right now and have already learned so much about how things worked behind the scenes on the set of Supernatural. I can’t wait to see more!

I’m new to SPN so these shows are a great addition that enhances my experience. Interviews with actors, writers, directors and people from the set give perspectives that I really enjoy. Rob and Rich seem like an affable pair. Easy to listen to. One part that helped me: I was watching on Netflix which doesn’t have the music licenses. They guys list the songs in the show so I went back and started again on DVD. I do enjoy it more. Such a great soundtrack! I also follow on Patreon now.

I just love hearing the behind the scenes stories. I wish I could work behind the scenes. It would be awesome. I love also that it was a solid crew and actors got along.

Why you may ask? Well, ever since I was little, I have always watched TV. Whether that be shows or movies, I was always watching TV, diving deep into the plot, always on my toes for what I may think may happen next. Now that I have listened to this show, I can just simply watch TV… I have to watch it and then inform my mom (who sits next to me) how these things work on TV. I just caught myself telling my mom how fascinated I am with the fact that there are people, behind the scenes, adding the tiniest of details that no one even realizes. For example, we’re watching a war movie, and the soldier gets shot on the leg. He has to lift the remnants of his pants from his wounds, and it makes a little squish sound (gross I know). But I turned to her and said, “You realize there is a person out there who is dedicated to making those little noises, working day in and day out to get this perfect.” In all reality, this podcast has opened my eyes to the hard work that goes on behind the scenes. I have realized that even though it took a second on screen, it took hour to perfect. When I first started listening to this podcast, I thought it would be a great thing to listen to since I love the show Supernatural, but now I am starting to realize that it is more informative than anything, and that is something that I think I love the most about it. In all honesty, I believe this is my favorite podcast I have listened to. Only thing I hate is that I burst out laughing at the mess ups and moments of straight laughter while my coworkers sit and stare at a crazy woman who should probably be admitted. You guy truly are the funniest and sweetest people alive and I wish I had the funds to meet you guys in real life. LOVE YOU GUYS <333

I’ve been a fan of SPN since the very beginning and have rewatched the show several times. It’s been a lot of fun going back to the beginning with these two though. They’re absolutely hilarious and I find myself laughing out loud multiple times throughout each episode. I do love the fact that they warn you about ads instead of them just popping up mid sentence like so many other podcasts do. The only thing I would change is that I wish they’d talk more about each episode and have whatever guest is on give more of a behind the scenes view. Overall this is just a wonderful podcast. Rob and Rich have an amazing friendship that makes you feel like you know them as well.

So awesome you guys are doing these pods for the show. I just started listening not too long ago cause I had no idea there was a podcast for supernatural. Love it, listen to you guys when I’m walking my dogs and in the car. I like going back and watching each episode after listening to catch the different things you guys point out in the show. Very cool!

Love the show, love the podcast, it’s amazing to hear behind the scenes stories. I also love how it’s actually actors from the show hosting and not a random voice, so it’s comforting to hear familiar people.

I love the rapport between Rich and Rob. I appreciate Rich’s technical questions and Rob’s questions from the actor’s POV. It’s great when an actor from the show is their guest, but when they have behind the scenes crew it really shines. The hard working crew doesn’t get the public adoration at the cons, but deserve it just as much. I love listening to them share their stories. Also, it’s obvious these guys are watching the show with interest; there is an over abundance of rewatch podcasts now, and that can’t be said of all the hosts. Only critique is they, especially Rich, need to stop being the PC police because the show isn’t “behind the times” the characters are true to what they’d be. It’s honest writing.

Truly one of the most unique podcasts. The guys deliver every week with their charisma and fun going banter. The guests provide interesting perspectives and behind-the-scenes insight from creating one of my favorite shows of all time. It’s a win on every front!

These guys are so funny and genuinely kind. I love being able to hear their honest opinions about our favorite “little” show. Do they always get it right? Definitely not but it’s their first watch (they missed a lot in On the head of a pin). I’m hoping that as we get further in they start noticing some of the deeper things and not just surface level. I def wanted more about Dean’s panty kink from The End. I love them anyway and love hearing the bts of the episodes from creators and cast. Definitely worth listening to ❤️

How do you not know Chad Evert?!!? This is a classic episode and you guys spend more time on your flipping beard choice. Do better.

Love hearing the summary of the episodes. Absolutely love the interviews with cast and crew. Hearing BTS stories and how the episode got to be made. It almost feels like DVD commentary. I’m entertained with every episode. Thanks.

Season 1 was a bit rough at times, buf they seemed to calm down being silly and I really enjoy it now. I love the goofing off, just not for 10 minutes! 🤣

As a massive fan of Supernatural, this podcast is the perfect compliment to the series - dissecting each episode with a realness and humor that is appreciated. But what takes this podcast to the next level are the interviews with the cast and crew featuring behind-the-scenes stories and industry trades and tricks that are highly intriguing - particularly for a communications and digital cinema student such as myself! Keep up the great work, guys!!

Love Rob and Rich! It’s great to learn the behind the scenes stories and how the production process has changed over the years. I wish you would go back to the storyline speculation from the earlier seasons, more episode discussion is always fun and could shorten the beard convos of which I’m not a huge fan.

I hope you guys know how we appreciate your gag reels at the end of your podcast episodes! I started watching Supernatural because I saw the gag reels on YouTube and thought oh hey they’re cute! And laughed so much that it made me want to start watching. That was in 2015.

I love this podcast! Rob and Rich have the best repartee, so hearing them talk about the episodes as they watch the show is hilarious. It’s like being at a fan convention. I also love the behind-the-scenes interviews with guest stars and members of the production crew. Each week I hear new fun and interesting stories about the episodes that make me see something new in shows I’ve seen so many times. I love listening and hope it keeps going through all the seasons. I look forward to getting the Rob and Rich review and beard ratings each week!

Just finished the series the first time all the way through 😭. I hope they CARRY ON with the podcast for all the seasons!!

I’m a huuuge spn fan and was so excited for the rewatch podcast and it definitely exceeded my expectations!! I knew of Rob and Rich from the show, but this podcast made me a fan of them on their own (I started listening to Kings of Con because I love their friendship/banter so much). It’s so cool hearing about the behind the scenes stories from the show. My one request would be to have a place fans can submit questions/comments, but otherwise 10/10

I love the podcast, I have been rewatching and then listening. Usually not a fan of podcasts but there has never been a moment where I thought Rob and Rich were rambling. In fact they’re so funny I decided to try Kings of Con. I love the jokes they say to each other. Cracks me up when they laugh. I really love hearing the behind the scenes talk. It’s been interesting to find out those little facts. I wish it would have been possible to be on set one day but the guest stars do a fun job telling about what they did to make the show work. Only complaint I have is the andrew dabb interview, I hope he never comes back on. I’d hate to have to skip an episode of the show. It’s fun hearing them discover things about the show and then making deductions that are often right but sometimes wrong and laughing bc they’re going to find out down the road why certain things happened or didn’t. I wish I could rewatch again for the first time without knowing anything about spn. Best show ever.

I’m in the minority here, agreeing with Rorymee that I’d like them to tone down the banter a tad. Also they sometimes talk too fast or over each other, and I can’t always get the captions to work. I actually fell asleep on one of the episodes because the person was talking in a monotone. I agree with another poster who said they spend too much time on what kind of “beard” to give the show. Since I didn’t listen in prefer at first I didn’t know what they were talking about. Also they get too technical at times, not explaining things to someone in the industry. The running time is actually 2-5 minutes longer than given but those minutes are bloopers and banter, nothing to do with the show. Some are about an hour so I listen to half at a time. I’m almost caught up and enjoy the ones with actors as guest stars, along with special effects, make up and music people. Overall I like it and will keep going. Still I agree with another that the time spending on jokes could be used to talk to the guest or about the show more.

I have been a Supernatural fan for many years and was happy to stumble upon this podcast a week ago. There are times that I literally cry from laughing! I listen to a lot of rewatch podcasts but this one is now my favorite. I love the interviews with all of the different roles - not just writers, directors, and actors. Keep up the great work!

I do a seasons 1-5 Supernatural rewatch every year, but never thought to look for a Supernatural podcast to accompany my rewatch. What a sweet surprise to find this podcast!! I love the banter, the behind the scenes stories, the interviews; it’s a perfect pod!

I randomly stumbled across this podcast and instantly got excited. I have watched supernatural from start to end at least 10 times.

This podcast is so fun and I’m said they are on break for the strike. My one wish is that they had questions from fans about episodes. Like each week they bring in a fan to ask about en episode-just for a few minutes. It would bring in such an interesting perspective. I have so many questions how things are done and what happened. I feel like I could bring so much more out about the show. I love this podcast and I hope to comes back soon . Can’t wait to get to the later episodes😍 Good job! Keep it up

I love supernatural in general but i swear Jensen ackles does such a good job at playing dean tbh I've got a little crush on dean/Jensen im currently on season 8 too but my fav episodes are the trickster episode where dean gets killed over and over again and the yellow fever (episode 6 season 4) mostly when dean gets scared of the cat lol.

This is absolutely one of my favorite podcasts! I love listening to Rob and Rich along with the guests on the episodes! They keep me laughing through every episode. There are no words to express how much I love the show, and this podcast definitely is an amazing vessel to relive each episode. It is fun to listen to everyone’s perspective on the show and learn about BTS moments and what went in to making each episode.

Really enjoying rewatching Supernatural and then following an episode up with podcast. I wish they would have Jensen and Jared come on at least once per season of the show like the finale episode coverages. Love when the guest stars come on too. Thank you again from a fan!! Absolutely fantastic podcast deep diving into the making of the show, studded with the stars, creators and crew. Somehow the algorithms that be has not sent this my way. I wished I could watch Supernatural while driving to work, and searched for a Supernatural podcast as a substitute for the show I know so well. I was ready to settle for a fan made podcast and Chuck (capital G O D) himself handed me exactly what I needed!

I’ve been a Supernatural fan since the beginning. This podcast is great & I’m recommending it to everyone.

Guys, seasons 1, 2 and 3 were great! Lots of great classic episodes before season 4. Too many to count. It just keeps getting better! No need to talk down the previous seasons. So much fun to have you both watch the show for the first time! Love you guys and love your work! 😊
