    Stop interrupting your guests please
I really enjoy this podcast but the host interjects way too often when his guest is talking and it seems like he just wants to show off his knowledge and it gets annoying. Other than that, it covers great topics

    Great intro music
Using Blade Runner opening theme as intro music is outstanding. Didn’t even listen to the episode but 5 stars for that. Use Rachels Song for the next intro.
  • The S.K.P. Machine
    Propaganda for a One-Party State
As long as the F.B.I.’s violations are all just coincidentally against the political right, then Silverado will say the abused power is “necessary” & all the violations “inadvertent.”

    Insightful, Edifying, and Excellent
Fantastic podcast. Dmitri’s music choices for every episode are a wonderful and cheeky treat.

Michael Kidman is great- the interview is terrible
Really enjoy having Michael Kofman discuss the Ukraine conflict. Unfortunately, the interviewer is pretty bad. Some things he needs to improve include: 1. Stop interrupting Kofman with points intended to make yourself sound smart 2. Ask questions - don’t go on diatribes setting context unnecessarily 3. Stop asking questions about individual actions (raids, specific air raids)- ask strategic questions and their implications 4. Stop dropping in historical examples that may apply to the situation- they come off as simplistic or not thought through- and more intended to make the interviewer sound smart

    Outstanding analysis
I’m just a foreign policy / current events / military nerd but the measured analysis and guests are outstanding and delivered in a way that most lay people can understand. Great podcast!!

These two men are the rock stars of Russian military analysts

    Finally
Finally a POD cast that really understands the military on both sides and combined arms combat. Artillery is the king of battle and infantry is the queen. You cannot seize & hold ground without infantry. Stop watching the news on TV “all” of the reporting is wrong, as are “all” first reports once combat starts. Logistics, indirect fires, ISR well trained and armed soldiers, good commissioned officers and more importantly great Non commissioned officers win battles and wars. Everything that goes well in any military organization comes down to that E7 NCO knowing what right looks likes and making sure everyone else does what’s right. Podcasts (like wars) need a context to express themseves
Really good show, prioritizes nuance and empirical study over flash. It’s contingent. KEEP MICHAEL KOFMAN coming! He’s the man and won’t let anybody start deviating into the speculative and categorical without admitting that it’s without facts or require them to bring facts.

The most comprehensive analysis of Ukraine
You can’t get any more comprehensive of what’s going on I. The Ukrainian war than listening to Dmitri, Rob and Mike. Everything from tactics, shoot availability, strategy and implications. They take everything we’ve seen throughout the week and stitch it together.
