    Elizabeth Taylor Serial Abortionist episode
I was enjoying this podcast until episode # 13. I don’t appreciate being labeled a white supremacist because I’m a white American and pro-life. We can all have differing opinions on many moral and political topics without resorting to false and inaccurate labels.

    Presenter is terrible
Could not have chosen a worse presenter. The show is Impossible to listen to. The host Sounds like she’s an eleven year old with a mouthful of marbles, can’t understand a word. Just awful. Awful.

    Feminist perspective 👍
Wonderful podcast. Folks, right in the description it describes this podcast as a “feminist perspective.” If that threatens you and creates upset in your fragile selves just skip it.

    Have loved all but one.
I absolutely love this show except for the Alice Mitchell episode, which I couldn’t even finish. Please, please stick to having historians, forensic experts, and criminal attorneys etc. on. I was so disappointed that for an episode about a lesbian couple that you chose an activist. Her commentary was a complete opinion piece and strayed from your usual formula. She sounded unprofessional, and this seemed more like a political piece than an episode of Lady Killers.

    Cringe
While admirably trying to understand women’s sad plight a hundred years ago. The historian seems to bypass some very heinous actions in order to say women had it rough. I agree but that does not mean ignore murder and domestic abuse to a lesbian woman in order to say isn’t it too bad she didn’t have a chance to be a lesbian and out in society. Just awful

    Easy entertaining listen
I enjoy listening to the podcast when I don’t want to listen to something that requires a lot of attention. I do wish there sometimes was a deeper analysis of what was going on e.g how the podcast Bad Women approaches topics. Like I got the sense the host had no idea that hanging songs were a common thing and I wished the guest had gone into a bit more detail. Also, some stuff the guest says just should be edited out. For example. In SE2 EP18 when the lawyer refers to rape as “sex” to be funny or in EP19 the guest said you can tell a woman is evil by looking at her but not a man. Like come on that is some made up nonsense.

    pro-choice is the American way
contrary to what the snowflakes in the comments want you to think. a majority of us support the right to choose. love the show.

Has potential but misses the mark
The idea and format really could be interesting and engaging but it doesn’t meet the mark. While we know that life for a woman 100 years ago was challenging but that doesn’t give license to kill but the presenter seems to think that being a woman allows you to kill.

    Her opinion
Lucy, I have loved this podcast, however, your guest who said Roe Vs Wade was overturned because of White supremacists wanting to control the population of Black peoples and Hispanics is only her opinion and not based in any facts. I wish you would have explained that. If you were going to have this opinion expressed, I would have appreciated a factual representation of what most Americans actually believe, regarding Roe Vs Wade. It ruined the whole episode for me.

    Disheartened
Love Lucy and love the podcast, I’m both a histery nerd and a true crime junkie so this hits home. However, very disheartened on the abortion episode. Lucy said pregnant women are silent on the matter. Well, I’m a pregnant woman of color, and I will not be silent. Every human has the right to life. Every abortion is murder.

    Idea for episode
    Do Hillary Clinton next!!!

    Taylor episode
Lucy, your guest was very correct in talking about the present day fears amongst those terrified by racial shifts in the USA today. Elon Musk has been shouting about the population decline amongst white communities and saying it must be reversed.

    A perfect podcast
This podcast hits all the right notes for me: a little drama, some history, Lucy being her wonderful self. I am crossing my fingers for a second season!!

Interesting but lecturing at the same time.
Very interesting but had to take a couple of stars off for the usual left wing BBC lecturing about white privilege and if the woman was a working class white woman then evil capitalism. Shame because we are not ignorant silly little people that need to be educated yet again on that and parts of the series were quite interesting, just not those predictable bits.

    Absolutely Brilliant!
If you’re a fan of Lucy’s you will not be disappointed! Found this just by accident and what a happy one it was! Wish episodes were a wee bit longer and hope there is another season! Well done, Lucy, well done.

Huge fan of history and Lucy Worsley. I hope there will be a season two!

Host has a terrible speaking voice
Why, with all the wonderful presenters on the bbc, are we getting people incapable of pronouncing the sound for “R”?!

    Bloody legend
Lucy Worsley delivering amazing history as always. I really hope she decides to do another series. She humanizes her subjects without glorifying them. Great show.

    Feminist Revision
I mean feminist revision in a very positive way. In the first episode ‘Florence Bravo’, cross examination focuses on the accused’s ‘sexual promiscuity’. The legal expert notes that there are laws, in the United Kingdom, preventing this line of questioning. Horrifically, no such law exists in the United States. Abuse and rape victims are often revictimized in in this way during cross examination. I look forward to future episodes.

    Bloody Brilliant.
Another entertaining offer by historian Lucy Worsley. Brief episodes about infamous murderesses.

    Lizzie Borden
Good episode - but I wish Lucy would do a full season on this crime - so much fascinating social context to be explored like race, class, sex roles, sexuality, economics…. BBC should do a tv series about it and I’m sure it would be a hit.

    Educational, entertaining, engaging!
No surprises-this podcast is just as informative and addictive as everything else Lucy Worsley touches. I’m only upset there aren’t more because I flew through all episodes. She included a diverse set of expert guests to weigh in on each and provides unique details and considerations for each lady killer and the time she lived. If you are interested in criminology and/or mental health, this is for you! Maybe add an Australian episode?

The perfect combination of history and true crime, interviews and dramatizations.

Victorian History + True Crime = THE BEST PODCAST
Brilliant podcast. Characters are brought to life and we get not only the fascination Of the crime itself but also the history of women, their classes and their lack of freedom and the choices that they simply have to make for whatever their reason. Lucy and guests are top notch as well.

    Bravo!
I simply never review podcasts but this one is outstanding! This isn’t just another gruesome crime podcast. It’s a gruesome crime podcast with superb research, a feminist historical approach and excellent writing. Add a dash of Lucy and you’ve got a winner! Keep up the good work.
