aosdoulaThank you, friend!I have been listening to Kathryn and learning from her for years with the Nothing Much Happens podcast. So lovely to have this practice to regulate with as well. These meditations are the perfect length. I love the combination of silence and simple, profound ideas that cultivate a compassionate approach to mindfulness. Thank you for sharing your practice with us! I am so blessed by these offerings!!! 🙏🩵

library workerPuts my mind….Kathryn puts my mind in the direction of gratitude. I love it when I can hear Kathryn smiling or laughing. I’m being shown how to take myself lightly.

La Dame de la PluieWake up gentlyKathryn helps me gently move from sleep to wakefulness. It’s always a nice way to wake up, but it really shines on days when I don’t want to deal with the day ahead- it shifts my mindset to positive before I even get out of bed.

dbrrvHow awesome is this?!Thank you.

TCL3872Best 10 minutesThis podcast is 10 minutes well spent. I usually listen in the morning and it starts my day on the perfect note. Sometimes, however, I'll use it while I'm stressed when driving. I don't close my eyes for obvious reasons, but it helps refocus to calm. Kathryn is an amazing teacher and perfect for those new to meditation. If you've ever thought you were "bad" at meditation or could not do it please give this app a try. You might discover there is no perfect meditation practice and whatever you do is beneficial. That said, this is also wonderful for well practiced meditators. Whatever your experience-give this app a try.

jkmjkmExcellent!I always come away from these sessions with a sense of calmness, renewed focus and, well, feeling a bit more grounded and pointed in the right direction. Kathryn makes practicing meditation easy and approachable as it should be! I think of these moments spent taking some time for myself as little treasures. Thanks for sharing your skill, wisdom and common sense Kathryn!

AbbasRJGood!I am a Nothing Much Happens listener and Kathryn’s voice is so soothing and safe feeling for me. I enjoy these in the morning… and occasionally still fall asleep to them because my brain connects her voice to NMH time when I’m about to fall asleep. Thanks so much for this podcast!!! Keep it up!

Melissa WielandMore Self compassionI loved the more self compassion episode. I do these every night and love how you integrated the skin to skin touching, tapping and hands over our eyes. I would love a nighttime series for deeper relaxation to ease anxiety to drift off to sleep. Thank you for all you do. I enjoy every episode.

S.S.WilliamsSpiritual practiceI LOVE this podcast. What a gift from Kathryn. I stumbled across it after listening to “The Village of Nothing Much” story podcast. This provides an amazingly peaceful 10 minutes of thought, stillness and breathwork that leaves me feeling spiritually, mentally and physically refreshed. Thank you for this gift!

susancatudalLife changing! The First This and Nothing much happens podcasts are so simple yet so addicting and wonderful! A friend in Montreal told me about them when we realized we both have insomnia and anxiety . I started listening nightly and really look forward to going to bed now! And as soon as I wake up I listen to a First this message!

MegBSJEasy and accessible. Love, love, love.An easy and mindful start to my mornings. The guided meditation is succinct, extremely accessible (which is saying a lot for my non-stop neurodivergent brain), and soothing. It starts my day off on the right foot. Kathryn Nicholai, through both of your podcasts and book you have touched my life in a profound way. Thank you.

cochran laundressLove theseI’ve been doing both of Katherine Nikolai‘s podcasts for a while now. First This and Nothing Much Happens (for sleep). I used to not be able to listen to women’s voices comfortably, but I find Katherine‘s voice very soothing like a good trusted friend. A wise counselor. I’m 63 years old and these podcasts help me with anxiety, stinking, thinking, and insomnia. At some point, when I can figure it out, I am definitely going to subscribe. And I’ve never subscribed to a podcast before but I want so very much for Katherine to keep doing what she does. It’s so helpful to me. I feel like the wisdom that seeps through these episodes is supernatural. As a quaker, I call it light. So I would say it more than rings a bell.

IceGirl08Great start to my day!I had been looking for a podcast that would I would be able to make a routine out of it. I really wanted to try and get into the whole mindfulness thing as I always lead a very busy life. I wanted a moment for myself. I tried many different ones but they didn’t captivate me. Until I found this one. It’s short enough to not hold me up in the morning but long enough to have me feeling centered for the day. I could hear her all day. Her voice is very soothing and calming to me. Please continue this podcast as you have found a forever follower. 🥰

StackMouseA spacious yet simple guided meditationI love how spacious this guided meditation is - I actually have space and silence to practice as opposed to others who fill every minute with prompting. It’s also the perfect launch into the day with some small, applicable nugget of wisdom to practice. Really love this as a compliment to Nothing Much Happens at the end of the day. Such a great find!
-
wenfalThank you!I enjoy the 10 minute meditations on First This. They really help me to relax, physically as emotionally. I like to do the meditations in the morning they also help me to relax and fall back to sleep when I wake up in the middle of the night. Thank you Kathryn for your support and thoughtfulness. You have a beautiful and relaxing voice.

the Daisy KingThe only meditation I can stand“You should try meditation“ has been force-fed down my throat for decades now and I’ve tried all different kinds. Most of them are aggravating (headspace anyone?) This is the only one that has stuck and doesn’t make me want to punch things.
-
sonia*starLovelyIf this isn’t nice, I don’t know what is. :) May update: Aah!! You didn’t say “good” at the end of the Small Moments episode!! My nervous system was waiting for that….
-

krollielynneA lovely addition to my dayI’ve tried to find meditation podcasts before, but for various reasons none have stuck. This one is the exception! I love how there is silent down-time incorporated in between the thoughtful messages.

VastnestLove thisThis is the first thing of my day. I love this podcast and have learned so much. Grown so much because of your work. Thank you! I wasn’t sure where to contact you about the 2/19 episode. How do I slow the speed down? It seemed as if the voice was at a higher speed than normal…

Brandywine73First, I love this!I would gladly pay for a mindfulness class with Kathryn, but here I’m getting it for free! Kathryn’s approach to mindfulness meditation is unlike any other that I have experienced before. Something about the way she teaches and speaks allows me to truly let go and accept and honor whatever comes up wherever I am. I always feel more whole and integrated when I’m finished with the meditation…even on the days when the “bad” emotions arise. I feel more “ME” when I’m finished. And for that I’m grateful. Thank you Kathryn for this podcast. 💙✌🏻
