Musiclovah6AddictiveAddictive show, addictive podcast! Loved getting to hear from the guest experts as well as the brilliant cast and creators.

GunnerKnowsBestYawnPointless puff piece ads for the series. This podcast is terrible compared to other ones HBO has done like Chernobyl and Band of Brothers. It adds nothing of value to the series or the show.
-
ScukkyVery disappointingI was hoping for a podcast that discussed the show episode by episode (similar to the podcast that accompanied Chernobyl). However, this one isn’t a deep dive into each episode. It’s more about our fascination with True Crime. Boring.

Kathy's New IpadLooking forwardThe creator seems like he has a great understanding of the case hopefully the arrogance of the actress playing Kathleen and what she thinks she knows as fact is not reflected in the final product. This is a crazy case for sure should anyone think they know what happened I think not so I hope we stay true to what justice actually looks like it might not always be pretty and people should take cases like this and prosecutors like that as well as “science “ as it has been sold with a more critical eye and stop trusting the self proclaimed experts.

PinkPoodleProdsBonus episode, please?Fantastic podcast for an unforgettable HBO series . . . Might you consider producing a bonus episode or two re: Michael Peterson’s recent email rant to Addie Morfoot of VARIETY? Thank you!

kimberk8Bravo!Nancy Miller is SO good at talking to the cast and real life characters of this crazy story! Her delicate way of interviewing without bias, is amazing. I loved the GSK podcast she did and this one is every bit as good!! 10 stars!

ShelleyPullsSpoilers in first episodeI knew absolutely nothing about this case, never heard of the people and was looking forward to a good discussion. The first podcast was supposed to be about the FIRST EPISODE of the show yet the interviewer and whomever that man is alluded to things that gave away the ending/current status even if they didn’t reveal specifics. Jerks.
-
LindaGHMTremendous podcastWow. Bravo. Thanks for providing these interviews, which are so insightful. Totally compelling. Is Diane Fanning, author of Written in Blood, going to be a guest? Hope so. Her book reveals things about Peterson’s character that neither the HBO series nor the Netflix doc address.

npgirl64NOT WORTH MY TIMENot a true crime podcast, and the director even says the TV show is very low key . I thought this PODCAST retold the Peterson staircase story on HBO-MAX, but it’s DOES NOT. If you are NOT familiar with this case, you won’t become so with this podcast. It does NOT RETELL the story AT ALL. All it does is talk about the FILMING of the show, and does NOT give away ANY plot at all. I guess they want you to spend $$ on HBO -MAX to get the story.

RyanTrueCrimeFanMesmerizing!I couldn’t pull myself away from the television series, and this companion podcast added so much for me. Nancy Miller is an incredible interviewer and asked the best questions! I learned so much from the podcast and am so happy to have found it!
-
SimpsoncitaGreat interviewsSuper interesting podcast for fans of the show. Inside access to the thoughts and perspectives of the creators of both this series and the original documentary. There should be a warning that the podcast on Episode 4 reveals something important that the series doesn’t reveal until Episode 5, a pretty big spoiler unfortunately.

RyanpandoraTrue crime essentialI’m only on episode 2- but if you have watched the documentary and you’re watching the HBO series based on it, absolutely add this into your mix. There so much fascinating stuff about the production of the series, interviews with the actors and directors, but there are also some heady conversations about the meaning of truth, and why does it matter, and a million different angles on this one crime. Loving it.
-
carefullistener123Excellent Companion PodcastSuch depth of thought and conversation on this podcast. Intelligent people discussing complicated storytelling. Bravo to all involved.
-
CainaanInsightfulA wonderful companion to the HBO series, offering new layers, insights, and behind the scenes takes on this still fascinating true crime story. Nancy Miller asks the questions we are also wondering about and often asks ones that complicate what we think we know about this forever mystery.

Woodle67Very compellingLove the idea of a companion podcast! Double good!

GothamGargoyleGiving Kathleen a voiceThis pod is like a back stage tour for all the painstaking effort that went into faithfully re-telling this story. The lengths to which the entire team went in treating the unknowns with tact and providing details one didn’t learn from the documentary series is impressive and worth learning about. Most importantly (IMO), it brings Kathleen into the frame and seeks to give her a voice and a presence in the story of her life and her own death. It allows us to imagine who she was as a human being. Michael Peterson is a big and somewhat quirky personality. What astonished me was how faithfully Colin Firth absolutely nailed his pattern of speech, his mannerisms, his vocal intonations…it’s masterful. The podcast is insightful and extremely well presented. Well worth the listen.

BowieboobooTruly AmazingIncredible in depth podcast about the series… so sooo good. Not to be missed. Interviews are phenomenal. Host/ podcaster is exceptional.

kiwi m.So well doneEven more fascinated by the story and the people involved after listening to the first two episodes of this podcast.

Jennifer HaertelMore than GoreI don’t typically like the true crime genre, but I started watching because of the actors involved and it seemed like a complicated story to tell. I really like this show because it is complex and well-told. This podcast is great because it adds an even deeper depth to the story-telling piece of it all. Early on in the first episode, we learn that the goal of the creators of the show is more to do with examining what we view as truth and how evidence can be used by folks with different perspectives to prove their hypotheses about what actually happened that night, and possibly even within the couple’s marriage. It is truly interesting to hear about the joy of a mystery like this one and how much of ourselves we can discover by viewing and watching stories like this one.
-
U know meeI’m hookedI rarely listen to podcasts, but that might change after just listening to the first episode. It’s not only for true crime fans, but for those who want to learn the process of filmmaking. The first episode is almost a master class in acting itself.
-
SheilsGabeelsBrilliant coverage on a very layered case.I am zipping through these. The guests are so impressive and Nancy’s ease in which she speaks to the guests is like listening in on two friends conversations. Love it!!
-
TrueCrimeTartareA must for true crime fansIf you love the Staicase this show reveals a lot about the case with really good interviews so far
-
Gbtn72Fabulous podcast & show!Much more depth and insight than I’m used to hearing in podcasts; the show itself is meticulous in its exploration of the different perspectives of the story and characters, and the podcast is a true extension of that philosophy!
-
tddpetersonMMI could listen to that michael Matthews fellow talk all day mmm mmm mmm
