buginalwaysjr99Immaculate!I’ve been watching smallville since I was 8 I’m now 20 and love the show. It’s great to see Tom and Michael going back to the show and showing it some love after all this time giving incredible insight, bts moments, and special guests!
-
WhiteWolfCanncannEpicI was late to the party when it came to watching Smallville, but better late than never. Tom and Michael have truly tapped into something so special here. I love getting funny stories or behind the scenes “how it was made” snippets. I can’t say enough good things about what the guys are striving for here. Michael and Tom have a true friendship and it’s evident in every episode, which, in turn, makes each individual episode so easy to watch or listen to. Keep the episodes coming, cause we’re all ears.

clarkjmattyMichael needs to stop crapping on the showMichael didn’t even watch the show 20 years ago and he’s not even watching it now, admitting to fast-forwarding through episodes for this podcast. It’s honestly gotten too depressing to keep listening to this. I do like Tom Welling’s insights though, he seems like a genuinely nice guy.

AirTrafficController_2Talkville - new favorite podcastFavorite show when on the air. I followed Michael Rosenbaum’s podcast Inside of you mainly because I was a fan of him on Smallville. Now that he is side by side with Tom Welling (who was also my favorite guest on Inside of you) Rewatching my favorite show of all time it’s a no brainer I’m listening! Now that I’m listening they are actually really good and their first time buddy Ryan gives great input on a first watch point of view. I’m enjoying and getting some great behind the scenes information on Smallville.
-
Bayleigh RicoMy Fave Podcast!!I love listening to this podcast! Currently rewatching smallville and it’s cool to hear behind the scenes commentary about the show. Michael Rosenbaum cracks me up every episode. Love this podcast!!!
-
WatrukkReally greatJust found this podcast. It’s a great show. I love the balance and the cast is awesome. I enjoy talk ville almost as much as enjoy Smallville.
-
Waltor3Just finding out about this podcastI just found out about this podcast a week ago and have been binge listening nonstop. Absolutely loved this series and didn’t mind the changes they made to the mythology. It’s great to have the two main stars who probably were burnout during the mania revisit and become fans themselves of what they created. Thank you for doing this👍🏾 Walt

D.ZemoraFun stories & guestsIt’s a lot of fun hearing behind the scenes stories, actors honing their craft, and many stories of the show from guests including stars and production crew, including the show creators. Tom is the ever optimist, Rosie craps on the show (honestly pointing out errors), Engineer Ryan sees the show through fresh eyes, Editor Jason does an amazing job, Producer Bryce never picks my questions when I call in. Very enjoyable! I keep coming back for more and even restarted my rewatch & relisten to past episodes of the show & podcast 💜

MissCongeniality11THE BEST!I look forward to this podcast every single week! Michael Rosenbaum, Tom Welling, and Ryan and Bryce do a fantastic job of giving you a behind the scenes look at Smallville while also infusing it with a lot of humor and heart. I feel like I’m sitting around with friends just listening to them talk and joke around while also giving great insights and having special guests. Even if I didn’t love Smallville I would still love this podcast. It’s my favorite SHOW in general right now, not just my favorite podcast!
-
BumblinFoolAbsolutely worth itLove the show, Mike and Tom are a joy to listen to
-
tuckbruthaThe bomb diggityThis is the only podcast I will watch/listen to. Tom and Rosy do a phenomenal job with this pod. I’m only on season 2. I’m 2 years late. But I promise I will catch up. Tom is hilarious along with Michael. Ryan’s one liners are good too. Thanks gentlemen.

CherndawgUgh shut up RosieI’ve recently started rewatching small vile, and though this rewatch podcast seemed like a great way to do it. Let me say this upfront… I’m struggling with small vile. The show didn’t age well for me, and it’s been torturous to watch. And so, Rosenbaum not liking the show doesn’t bother me, cause the show does have a lot of flaws. That being said, Talkville is its own kind of torture. I listened for 3 seasons hoping it would get better, but yikes. If you’re looking for an in depth, passionate look at the show…. This isn’t it. Here’s why- 1. The actors remember almost nothing about filming the show, the story, the characters, or the lore. 2. The hosts don’t care enough to actually watch the show. While the say they watch the episodes, They miss huge parts of episodes, don’t connect previous episodes and plot lines, and generally miss the point. 3. They don’t have anyone on the show to clarify Superman lore or Easter eggs, so they often comment on unrecognized Easter eggs and references, often criticizing them since they don’t know what they are. 4. Rosie (lex) is a total ego maniac. He cuts everyone off continuously, poorly reads summaries of episodes he clearly didn’t watch, and often makes fun of the show and the fans. Granted there’s a lot to make fun of, but show some class dude. Rosie also continually talks over Ryan, one of the cohosts, and any guests that show up. The dude can’t stand not being the center of attention. 5. The best part of the show, Ryan, is given few opportunities to talk, never gets to interact with the guests, and when the guests try to talk to him, Rosie butts in and takes over. Despite this, there are a couple bright spots- 1. Ryan is a co-host watching the show for the first time, and easily the best part of the show. He seems to generally enjoy it and he’s often being introduced to the world of smallville for the first time, and it’s cool when he gets to meet the guests who once were on the show. They just don’t utilize him nearly enough. 2. The guests are usually awesome, such as co stars and the creators and writers of the show. They all usually seem so much more enthusiastic than the actual hosts of the podcast. So, anyway, I would give this one a pass. Maybe listen to episodes where they have guests.

SV JoyLong live Smallville! As a long time Smallville fan, I am thrilled that Tom and Michael are doing this podcast. Really enjoying the honest reviews and guests from the show. Always look forward to the next episode!
-
Darwinia06Fun, interesting, insightful! This podcast is a lot of fun! The guest stars are fantastic, and you get to learn interesting behind-the-scenes tidbits. It’s also quite intriguing to hear the interpretation of the characters and storylines from the actors, which may sometimes surprise you. I appreciate how the podcast is continuously evolving and improving, and they really value the fans (even inviting them onto the podcast!). Also, the Patreon community is welcoming, and you can get into some interesting deep dive discussions there. If you like Smallville, you’ll like Talkville too!

HoustoN77Love this! New listener!A great tribute to one of my all time favorite shows. I have all of the seasons on DVD/Blu-Ray. Also, I have watched the show all the way through multiple times. I’m so glad to have a deep insight into Smallville. It’s like watching for the first time all over again. I have been meaning to listen to this and start for a while now but I’m so glad you guys are still doing this. Keep going strong! I’ll support you both in anyway I can. The show brings up a lot good memories so I am very thankful. God Bless.
-
@ArchCASEReminisceI enjoy listening to Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum recap my favorite TV Show of all time. It is always fascinating to see behind the fourth wall and see how the actors thought about different storylines and how it was filmed.
-
PatrickFenderguitarSmallville memoriesI am so glad these gentlemen started this podcast. Not only is it time for something like this but to hear their thoughts and feelings while they are still young and the the show has enough space to be honest and entertaining at the same time. Michael is pretty much has been the driving force. I like how the format is flexible enough to change if a guest comes on. I only wonder we get to the season when he is gone what his opinions will be. Tom is the reason this show works because he is Clark Kent/Superman. When he started you could tell he was a little guarded but now he knows people are interested he is very comfortable. I also wonder what he might think of the seasons that Michael is not in. Ryan is very good for the third chair because he represents the person who has never seen the show which is a little strange because I assume he is friends with Michael. Right now they are season 5. I can’t wait for the next episode.

firemedicjandersonGood we watch podcast, needs a few improvementsBig fan of the show. After listening to scrubs podcast, found this one: my biggest complaint is they don't give the guests enough time to speak. When you have guests on, cut the script reading stuff and take advantage of the guests insight. I'm giving Rosenbaum a bomb and a Half for his interview skills. And the rafibf system is lame; everyone Is confused...... Go with a letter grade or a 1-10..... fun guy to listen to and likeable, but needs to not interrupt others as much. They gave really good guests: and Tom and Mike have a good working relationship. So far ive stayed in listening through listening to season 3. Overall, pretty good:
-
Iozza13Great showLoved Smallville in High School. Rewatching it with this podcast. Love it, love the guys and the special guests. Keep up the great job.
-
Talk Ville goldNostalgia goldSmallville got me excited for every Thursday night and now I have the same measure of excitement for every Wednesday morning for talkville!! in someways both Tom and Michael take on the personas of their beloved characters. With Rosenbaum being the cynical realist, and Tom being the forever optimist, the dynamic is hilarious and heartwarming. Throw in Ryan who is giving Jimmy Olsen vibes and Bryce is of course the Chloe of the brunch. it’s a perfect tribute and review of a show that shaped an industry. Talkville is a top-tier podcast and a great re-introduction and introduction for returning and new fans of Smallville.
-
Big DeezzyTalkville to the top!Great show and Tom and Rosie are amazing for taking their time to rewatch everyone’s favorite show!!
-
WoodyTobiasAqua suckedAqua was one of the worst episodes. Talkville is still great though. Free Chloe!
-
Peppy_roniPOD save America episodeI didn’t appreciate talk ville sharing their politics with the audience. I love Tom, Rosie, and Mr Ryan; but I come to this podcast to forget about politics. I especially think that people who continually say that democracy is in danger are actually creating a self-fulfilling prophecy. This creates even more division and has alienated half their audience.
-
Jill Kat BSo enjoyableLove to listen to these podcasts after watching each show. It’s cool to hear about the details of filming. I love the lighthearted banter.
-
Integrity70True delightI love that y’all decided to do these podcasts. I appreciate the transparency and the level of authenticity you bring, in addition to the interesting behind the scene experiences and personal view of each episode. I do find it fascinating learning how the industry works, the creation process and the tricks of the trade. Smallville is one of those shows that is wholesome and innocent. It’s a refreshing change from what’s on TV these days. It was a much simpler time. Love it! I only recently began binge watching Smallville again ( I stumbled across it on Hulu about a week ago, lol) then 48 hours ago, stumbled across your podcasts on YouTube. It’s all very crazy to me but I love the joy it brings, so I’ll keep watching. 🙂 So glad y’all have been able to remain so close all these years. Keep up the great work and thanks for the insights. - Shannon

SherithepostaadyLove the podcastSo great to recap all the episodes with you guys! Love your humor! Can’t wait for season 5!
-
Hannah PetryLove Talkville! As so many people have mentioned before, I grew up watching Smallville with my parents and I just love it so much, it brings back great memories. I love this podcast! I’ve been listening to it with my parents at work and we have been reminiscing and it’s just great. Thank you guys for doing the podcast ♥️
-
jmgoodman509Great show, with great peopleWhat a show! It’s always awesome to hear Tom and Micheal talk about what they remember and what they don’t, or what it was like to be on the show. Anyone who is looking for great people to listen to this is the place to be!
-
garthv8erSmallville and Talkville rocksIf your a fan of Smallville then this podcast is for you. From michael’s silliness to Tom’s off screen chuckles and insight from both! This Podcast is fun to watch. Great guests and great behind the scenes commentary (when they remember). My go to ear candy to and from work! Love is. Always hold on to Smallville!!
-
Drip288Catching up with my pastI watched Smallville regularly when it aired, I even recorded episodes when I was busy on those air dates. I had heard about the Podcast and saw clips on various social media sites and finally tired an episode. I heard one from the current season 4 and decided to stop listening part way through and start at the beginning. This is one of my favorite podcasts to listen to when I am working around the house and my only negative is that I am caught up and have to listen as the episodes come out. Love the show!!
-
FelstefKeeping it honestIt’s a rare thing for a rewatch podcast with the show actors are willing to be harsh critics of their own works. Really enjoy the trivia from the shoot of each episodes and the interviews of other cast members and the random calls to the show runners, and how they’ll bring in Patreon guests to explain why they enjoy the show.
-
Kevin, overlooked bro of ClarkAwesomenessI am impressed on how down to earth Tom and Michael are doing this show. It’s a deeper insight into the world behind the scenes. I don’t expect either of them to remember every episode; however, they give greater perspective into the camera work, thoughts of acting, and energy shared between a scene mate. Knowing this was Tom’s first time of real acting and how he transitioned from newbie and soaking up all the information to become the veteran actor / director he has established himself to be. And Rosy’s journey of looking within himself to become a greater person. Rosy’s approach to it being a job and not really reading the entire scripts or watching the shows, makes me even more impressed with how he delivers great performances. Also, a shout out to Ryan, I hope you enjoy the show as much as the rest of us. It’s nice to see the reactions you give as someone who has never seen Smallville before. Take care guys.
-
pjwidufhfhrA must listen for Smallville fans!Smallville is one of my favorite shows and I’ve seen the series a few times through. Listening to this podcast is a great compliment to the show! Tom and Michael have the best chemistry and leave me cracking up every time. If you’re a big Clark/Lex fan, you have to check it out.
-
Kira1016Love the podcast, but it has room for improvements.I finally sat down and binged this podcast after listening to half of the first season when it came out. I was so excited to come back and see season four was up because Lois' introduction is the start of Smallville for me. My biggest takeaway from watching Michael and Tom (Michael more so than Tom) is they tend to miss some basic plot points in each episode. Michael even comments several times about doing other things while watching the episode. As a viewer, it's a bit frustrating because I find myself saying "just pay attention to the episode!" Michael is clearly doing this out of obligation, and considering he’s always pushing Patreon, I wish he would give the show a little more respect and actually spend the 50 minutes fully focused on watching each episode. Thank goodness for Tom and the light and positivity he brings to each episode. If this was just a Michael rewatch, I wouldn’t have continued watching the podcast. For future seasons, it would be wonderful to see less narration come from Michael and spread out the responsibilities to Ryan and Tom. Also, someone please help Michael rein in his interruptions. I had secondhand embarrassment when Michael kept calling out Tom for interrupting him, but Michael does it to everyone. Let everyone have their chance to speak, especially when Patreons and guests are on the show, and when Tom or Ryan are trying to answer fan questions. I love Tom’s BTS insights when he remembers them. When Al and Miles are able to pop in, the podcast gets even better! I hope the editing improves in the future seasons. The podcast is becoming ad-heavy, and it does not help when the editing places the ads right in the middle of a conversation or even in the middle of a sentence. You can do better than that! We’re still going to listen no matter where the ad falls; we just need you to edit it in there properly. Don’t cut someone off. It’s jarring. Overall, I’m loving the podcast, and I hope they make it all the way to the series finale. It’s quite obvious Michael is only interested in the Lex scenes, so I hope his character’s exit from the show doesn’t make him lose interest in the podcast. Keep up the good work, guys!

FerretAngelLoving this podcastI as well started watching the show a few weeks ago I guess and right now I’m trying to catch up. I’m watching it more on YouTube than anything else and I’m actually enjoying it. I actually like Tom Welling in it I think and Michael Rosenbaum I think that it’s great. I like how their chemistry is and how their friendship from the show have blown up and I think, so great. I was watching the show after my surgery that I had so it kind of helped me with that to cooperate so I just wanna thank you for that and keep up the good work. I love your shows very much and I will keep on watching it because and watching the podcast listen to the podcast it’s great. I love it so much. I love how you do it and I will become a patron soon. Just gotta give me a chance and make extra money.

HunnibunchesLove it!I’m a long time smallville fan, and just discovered this podcast. This is my first re-watch podcast, and an instant win in my book. I usually re-watch the show every year and have been re-watching the show and listening along with the podcast! Michael Rosenbaum and Tom Welling are excellent with their discussions and nostalgia of the who. If you are a Smallville fan, you need to give this a listen!
-
Jem0276The GreatestvilleBeen a fan of the show since it aired and have listened to Michael’s ‘Inside of You’ podcast. Michael and Tom have a great rapport and it’s genuinely enjoyable to listen to them reminisce about the show, its ups and downs and everything we all wanted to know when we were watching ‘twent-mumble’ years ago. I genuinely think Michael is an underused talent in Hollywood and it’s nice to see him and the whole cast flourish in these interactions. Keep up the fantastic work guys.💕💕💕
-
Val B, TexasThe best re-watch podcast out there!I’m a huge Smallville fan. I watched it when it first aired and I only discovered Talk Ville a few weeks ago. I have listened to a dozen episodes already and believe Rosenbaum and Tom (and Ryan/Bryce) are the best in the re-watch podcast genre! I love the structure of each episode, the balance of pointing out what the show got right and the absurdities, and the overall nostalgia from going through the series again. I also love hearing from old favorites as guests on the podcast. Keep up the amazing work, guys!!
-
Champ427Seems RushedI’ve always loved Smallville, and was excited about this podcast. While I still listen every week, recently it seems the ads have overtaken the show and they are placed in the worst possible spots (mid sentence sometimes!). Tom is great to listen and genuinely seems to care about the show. Michael appears to be doing this out of obligation, as he’s constantly talking over Tom and some of the guests. Also, I don’t know who edits this podcast but some of the choices are bizarre. Some of the cuts seem to be mid sentence and completely cut off the conversation. It seems like it’s in an effort to keep the show pacing but it feels incredibly rushed and like no thought is put into it. Let the show breathe! We’ll listen! I will continue to listen as a fan of the show, but I’d love to see some changes to the podcast!
-
Borednumb79Awesome!!Long time fan of Smallville, usually do a rewatch every year… Now that I found this podcast I’m working my way through from the beginning and watching each episode again..Listening to Rosenbaum and Welling share their thoughts and memories make it so much more interesting.
-
H.M.E.Love!Can’t believe I didn’t know this existed until now! So glad I found it, love hearing the behind the scenes tidbits and their recaps of the episodes are great!
-
Phil Johnson ISuch a trip! What an adventure down nostalgia lane! I watched Smallville when it was on and haven’t since. This has gotten me back into the show and I love watching an episode of the show, then watching an episode of the podcast to get all the behind the scenes stuff right from the source. These guys are so funny and entertaining. Highly recommend to any fan of Smallville!
-
anoobisawaitsLove this podcastI look forward to the new episode each week. If you’re new to the podcast, the first season of their recaps can feel a little dry but their insights are always wonderful. As they get further in the show Mike and Tom really hit their stride and feel more comfortable in reviewing the show. Whether you are just now watching the show are have watched before, you’ll love this.
-
tr3yflipFavorite Rewatch PodcastLoved the show growing up and this podcast got me back into rewatching it. I tune in every week now just to hear Rosenbaums complaints on the episode and Toms amusement to the complaints
-
BeckyMcMahonDay 1I remember the promos for the show. My sister and I would record the episodes on vhs. Back then streaming didn’t exist and tv shows weren’t always accessible on dvd. We gave them our own names and I even drew art on them. Despite Lex s!?&@!? On the show it’s great to have Ryan a first time viewer and Tom finally join us fans on this journey we all took. I was homeschooled up until high school and Smallville was my icebreaker to prepare for what public school could be like. I could easily relate to Clark being an outcast except I had no special abilities and my father was more like Lionel than Jonathan. Smallville brought my family closer together and I own all 10 seasons in a proud display. I rewatched it many times sometimes at least once a year. Thank you for doing this I wish I could do more to be a part of it. I’m so glad I’m not alone in my fandom. Kryptonsite.com was my #1 website back in those days just saying.
-
SueBCOutstanding Podcast!I just found this Podcast, and proceeded to binge-listen to 84 episodes in one week. It’s a great show. A lot of insights into the characters that I wish I had back when it originally aired. Frequent guests including creators Gough and Miller. Ryan and Bryce add a lot to the show with a fresh perspective. And speaking of perspective, the benefit of hindsight has been personally very gratifying. It’s closed some old issues, validated others. For the most part, the show holds up really well with exceptional production value. Highly Recommended for Smallville fans.
-
UnhappylistenerSuppose to be a show about love for the show but….I’m 100% about everyone have their opinion about different things. If you don’t like the same thing as me that is ok! But this podcast is suppose to be about love for the show and to discuss the show. Rosenbaum read the room! We love the show, constantly making fun of it is just making us feel insulted. Let Tom talk more, he obviously is trying to talk about BTS moments that we want to here but Rosenbaum keeps talking over him with his weird accents and impressions. If you want to continue then listen to what people are saying and change.
-
synomynously anonymousEnjoyable enoughEnjoy the podcast, sometimes it feels like Michael is rushing to get through the episode. They aren’t always invested in story of the show which can make the recap feel a bit dry. It’s pretty clear they don’t particularly enjoy this type of thing and wouldn’t watch the show if they weren’t in it. Still, better than no podcast and occasionally some interesting insights, particularly into production and performance.
-
hollywood401Enjoyable podcast!Just listened to the ep with John Schneider this could have been an ep with just him and the guys talking it was soo good! Love hearing all the bts stories keep em coming!
