Sober sister2Buyers RemorseI joined this sober mom group platform with high hopes, seeking genuine support and connection during a vulnerable time in my recovery. Unfortunately, my experience has been deeply disappointing and concerning. The recent retreat, for which members paid a significant amount, was presented as an opportunity for healing and community building. Instead, it seems to have resulted in further hurt and division. Instead of addressing the issues that arose with grace and accountability, the leadership has chosen to blame current and former members. This lack of responsibility is deeply troubling, especially within a group that purports to offer support to those struggling with addiction. My personal observation, and the observations of others, have led me to question the authenticity of the leader's own sobriety journey. It feels as though this platform has been exploited to bolster a social media presence, rather than providing genuine support for those in recovery. For individuals like myself, who are actively grappling with addiction, this kind of experience is particularly disheartening. A platform that should be a safe haven has become a source of further distress. I cannot recommend this group to anyone seeking genuine support and community in their sobriety journey. The lack of accountability and the focus on self-promotion are unacceptable.
-
AccountabilityiscoolDisappointingDisappointed to hear you speaking negatively about the women who spent $1,900 to attend a retreat that supported your platform and business—especially when they believed they were in a safe space. Feels like a lack of respect for those who believed in what you were offering.
-
Realllllityy Von TeaseDisappointingAs someone who values honesty and respect, I find it disappointing to see such a negative portrayal of the women who attended the last retreat. It’s hard to reconcile this version of events with what was actually experienced. Integrity matters, and rewriting history at the expense of others feels unfair.
-
caitbaboThe real dealThese ladies are the real deal. This is a very supportive community who lift women up. This group has helped me achieve many sobriety goals
-
ThealcoholfreepharmdSeriously A Must ListenSuzanne has completely changed the way I think about alcohol and my relationship with it. Her non-judgmental and supportive podcasts with everyday moms are so helpful. I would recommend this podcast to anyone questioning alcohol. Amazing!
-
DRE072388232Why do you talk about activities that may help other people in sobriety boring.! Like you have better things to do. So what are the activities that you do? So at least their keeping themselves busy rather then falling back into sobriety.!
-
andreabrowwnSadtearshappytearsI found this podcast about a year ago and I just want to say thank you Suzanne and co! I’ve been happily sober for about 7 months now and have loved every single episode. Especially with mom! Can I also say, Laura S episode was so powerful to me. I am running this marathon with you- cheering you on, crying sad tears, crying happy tears- sharing a lot of the same feelings and thoughts with you. I appreciate you and the rest of these ladies coming on here and sharing your most vulnerable selves. I am so proud of us. Suzanne, you have changed so many lives. Thank you.
-
CTabodeA fun communityThis feels like a fun community! There is lighthearted chatting mixed with inspirational and moving content. As someone who doesn’t like drinking for both mental and physical health reasons, it’s a nice reminder that there are other moms who feel the same way!
-
RoseVargWhen life gets to lifeyThank you so much for this episode. I’m at that point where life is lifey and it feels overwhelming. But this episode really helped re-center me. I almost cried when you talked about remembering your wedding. Been listening since Dec 2022.
-
Calvin o balvinSobriety and Bravo - I FEEL SEEN!!I just listened to my first episode of SobriTEA, a really fun listen. Talking about drinking and it’s prevalence on Bravo is so interesting.. as a sober woman, I HAVE BEEN THESE LADIES! The outbursts, inappropriate scenes and questionable behavior. I watch through my fingers as I cover my face is second hand embarrassment! It’s a fun recap of sorts and it’s great to be a fly on the wall while two friends catch up!!
-
deadvengerLove you, love you're show! Ideas...First, I want to say I really love your podcast. I have had my own struggle and am also have been a Director of nursing for inpatient behavioral health and substance use for years. I would love to hear or even collaborate with you on a couple of topics. The first being the correlation between untreated ADHD and substance use. The second being a deeper dive into transfer addiction post bariatric surgery! Thank you for doing what you do! I use your podcast as a resource frequently!
-

I hate buzzedGateway to an alcohol free lifestyleI am the type of person that tends to totally immerse myself in a subject when I am working toward a goal. So when I started realizing in 2022 that perhaps alcohol was NOT making my life any better, I was searching for new inputs (books, social media, friends etc) that would help me get into the mindset of sober-curious lifestyle. I started reading books, following sober folks on social media, and searched for podcasts about sobriety. I found The Sober Mom Life and have loved every episode. I started from the beginning and I swear that simply having the words playing in my car on my drive to and from work each day helped me to sort out much of what I was grappling with in my (many, unsuccessful) attempts to give up alcohol. Suzanne has a way of putting into words the things many of us moms are feeling but don’t dare say out loud in our alcohol obsessed culture. Great podcast, so so grateful for you, Suzanne. Keep doing what you’re doing.
-
jdhazenSo freaking relatable!I found this podcast in early sobriety and I’ve listened to them all. I love the huge spectrum of stories from all the moms and find little nibbles of goodness in every single episode!
-
BrittahuntThank you!Thank you for the podcast. Such a great sober tool for my tool box. I love listening. Love Audrey, love you and your mom is the best ❤️
-
SaasawChanged my lifeThis was the first podcast I ever listened to. I wanted to quit drinking or I was sober curious and this popped up when I typed mom and sober. I listen to all of the podcasts and I am in the cafe. I am almost 1 year since I started this journey and 6 months completely sober. Suzanne and her Mom and Audrey are so easy to listen to and I love the sober mom stories. Maybe mine will be on here someday 😘 Thank you Suzanne!!!
-
Denise alynnGot me through! This podcast truly got me through the rough times in the beginning of my sobriety journey!I Suzanne was in my ear for three straight months. I love Suzanne, her mom, Audrey, and all the relatable stories, hearing from the moms who are vulnerable with their journey.! 💕
-
Ginger and MagsLove this show!Your podcast is just fantastic. I am a fifty something who finally stopped drinking alcohol six months ago. I’ve never felt better. This show helped me so much on my journey, among others. Especially love the episodes with your sweet mama. I always laugh, and I always am inspired to keep on this road. Thank you, Susanne 🌈
-
LoHoppsLife-givingI found this podcast after I became alcohol-free at 29 a little over 1 year ago. I love listening and relating to so many stories of women making the choice the quit drinking since I don’t know anyone else in my life that doesn’t drink (for now!!). It provides the sense of community and affirmation that I need on a weekly basis to not only stay strong in the choice but so so proud. And the podcast is so fun! It’s not scary/rock bottom stories. Everyone who is sober curious or doesn’t drink - welcome to your new (good) addiction! P.S. I absolutely LOVE the sobrieTEA episodes. I laugh out loud and agree with most of your bravOpinions. Let’s have a sober mom meet up at bravocon 2025!!!
-
MegcraneJust what I neededI love this podcast!! As a mom of 4 children, and a previous frequent drinker, this podcast has really helped me to realize I’m not alone and there is a different way to live. Recently went to my first major social event since deciding to not drink alcohol anymore and said “oh, I don’t drink” many times. Felt great!!
-
RachaelDTBShift your mindsetI love starting and ending my week with this podcast. If you are sober curious, start here and listen to them ALL! Listening has empowered me on my journey and I have no doubt it can help you shift your mindset around alcohol too. The sober mom chats on Fridays are so relatable and I have been loving the Bravo breakdowns lately. Thank you Suzanne and crew. *Podcast Topic Request* What are some fun birthday celebration ideas? I’m turning 40 in September — a year ago I would have hosted a casual happy hour with food/drinks to see friends and celebrate, but now that I’m not drinking that’s not what I want to do. What are some ideas that are aren’t just “a dinner” and that are accessible with busy mom schedules?
-
312GalI look forward to this weekly!!I absolutely love this podcast. Suzanne and her mom are so delightful, inspirational and super smart. If you are looking to learn more about sobriety or you want to be sober or you are sober, this is a great podcast. It’s not all about sobriety either. Suzanne has great guests who are open and honest. Every time I tune in, I feel as though I’m sitting at a small café with Suzanne and having a chitchat. Do yourself a favor and tune in! Get a coffee and treat too!
-
WeRideatDawn03Wisconsin public radioShould out to making your podcast on WPR! I am a sober Wisconsin win mom and am going to start listening! It’s been a challenge to stay dry when alcohol is EVERYWHERE. I can’t wait to listen!!
-
JulieAnnOhioOne episode is ALL you need!!I was touched and could relate to the first episode I listened to! The show is genuine, honest, and has open conversation about using alcohol while being a mom. This is raw, real, and inviting for all mothers and really anyone! Sobriety can be done in this society, telling us it can’t as a mom. Thank you for your podcast!
-

-
Teresa susTsI truly like the podcast , I really like the latest episode and appreciated her story. I’m a member of Al anon for 40 years ! But I myself found myself cought up in mommy wine culture so I made a decision in this last year not to drink wine anymore and reclaim my life . I don’t consider myself a alcoholic and trust me I have alot of that in my life through the years, but I did think I drank more wine than I should and I wanted to be healthy in mind body soul ! I may have a glass if I go out to dinner sometimes but I’m not bringing it home and I’m in a new place. It will be a year in June 🙌 since I gave it up.I find yours and other podcast help motivate me .
-

-
CB HansA great way to discover you’re not aloneI wish I had found the podcast earlier but am at least glad I found it when I did. Listening to other moms’ stories is like I’m at a recovery AA meeting while in the safety of my home / in between the chaos of parenting. A must listen.
-
ErinsdLove the Bravo reviewsI’m loving the bravo reviews! I love bravo shows and have so many complicated feelings about the use of alcohol on the shows so I find these episodes so interesting!
-
LizLaB44Like a warm hugThis is my new favorite podcast as I examine my relationship with alcohol. Suzanne, the host, is warm, funny and judgement free as she guides listeners through sobriety. If I could give this podcast 6 stars, I would!
-
andiegwpRelatable and coolThe word “cool” is not cool, so I hesitate to use it, but this podcast IS. It isn’t a podcast for folks who are against everything—it emphasizes the positivity in a sober life. I have been enjoying it on what I hope is my lasting sobriety journey.
-
kermurphyThank you!Five stars isn’t enough! So incredibly thankful for Suzanne, the cafe, and this wonderful podcast. My “journey” (her favorite word lol) has been made infinitely smoother because she is always in my ear! Not a day has gone by (76 total) that I haven’t listened to one. Thank you!!!!
-
E!123Sober sober sober mom - I love it!Your podcast and special guests are amazing! Keep up all the great work! Thanks for the inspiration, honesty, and good stories you’re sharing.
-
Kari sober curious 🌸My favorite podcastI am sober curious. In fact, I have been for several years. In fact, my first sober day was the same days as yours, Suzanne! I went to a rehab and stayed sober all through Covid. Which is very interesting as I watched everyone around me spiral down with alcohol during this time. I too, have never resonated with AA or any of the 12 Step programs. Thank you for your program. I love your vibe and humor, lol.
-
MT mama of twinsPermission granted!!Suzanne has been holding open auditions for moms to try out life without alcohol for years now. I needed permission to stop drinking before losing my license or my life. It is SO good on this side!! Grateful for this community!
-
pooioh987123Perfect space to rethink drinkingThis podcast is so supportive and meets you where you’re at. If you are seeking a safe space to hear discussions from real women who have questioned how they drink, this is the place for you!
-
Suzanne1004I feel like I’m with a friend when listening 🩵This podcast has given me guidance & the energy I needed during the early days navigating my new sober life. Suzanne is funny, inviting, insightful & warm. I’m so glad to have found her podcast & amazing community of women.
-
KatieMBCLife changingI never thought I would live without alcohol because I didn’t hit a rock bottom. Life on this side of alcohol free is so much better than I expected! I love Suzanne and her approach to talking about all this and making it glamorous! 💖
-
MJH_RobinThank youThank you for creating a safe space for those of us who questioned our drinking but weren’t interested in 12 step programs. I look forward to listening every Monday/friday. THANK YOU!
-
caseyls_17I feel at home here! Thanks to this podcast, I’ve been fortunate enough to find a community of women who are alike and different in all the best ways. This podcast is funny, happy, deep and informative.
-
tnm78954668Music change?Great podcast! Only complaint is the intro/outro music sounds like the Home Depot theme music. It’s a little ominous and should be switched to something a little lighter imo!
-
KayKay Marie D.I love this podcast!I love to listen to this podcast whenever I’m having a hard time in sobriety and it’s been insanely helpful and educational. I had been struggling with some hard emotions I wasn’t allowing myself to feel and I went directly here and the video posted TODAY was exactly what I needed and I cried the big cry and I felt what I needed to feel and I will always feel what I need to from now on. Thank you so much!! I wanted to leave a question for the therapist about self-sabotage and why people do it. It seems as though whenever I am doing really well, I do something almost unintentionally to sabotage my progress. Sometimes I don’t even know that’s it’s happened until after it’s done and I’m left to start over again. The cycle continues like that. I would love to know what that is all about!
