Tiny Terrors

61

Cole, Mark, and D come to you to showcase some of the most interesting stories on the Tiny Terrors Offline Scary Story Exchange. As they fall deeper into the grips of the forgotten world of scary stories pen pals, they'll find that not all is as it seems. There are bits of ourselves we give away as we tell our stories, and there are those things without eyes in the dark that feed as we spin our yarns.

    Yes to cassettes!
I truly do not care how many podcasts use them as their delivery mechanism - I’m a sucker for cassette tapes and this show does them right. The ‘stop’ button click at the end of a really good story, (e.g. most recent, Haunted House) is like a little mic drop and I dig it.

    Could have been great!
The good - Tiny Terrors started as a very strong show with a great concept! The stories are fun/frightening and the over arching story is intriguing. The bad - off the bat you are told the updates are intermittent and are not on a regular schedule. When I started I thought this would be maybe one every other week or something like that. Unfortunately the show will go weeks without an update. Then they will finally post a new episode and it’s locked behind a hefty paywall for max 6 additional stories. I will try to revisit at a later date. Here’s to hoping when I come back in a couple months there is at least one new episode!

A Must-Listen! Perfect for Fans of White Vault, NoSleep, and Archive 81
I am 100% on Tiny Terrors. Not since the White Vault have I felt so desperate to know what happens next. Cole, Mark, and D have fallen into something terrifying. I’m not sure how they’re going to get themselves out of this. Tiny Terrors takes the classic short-horror anthology genre and makes it into an audio thriller like Serial. It is the perfect blend of fun horror and terrifying mistakes. I constantly have the two horror sensations of “No! Don’t go in there!” and “Yes! We must find out!” Tiny Terrors is an absolute blast.

Strong Start, Slow Updates & Paywalled Episodes
I liked the story that was being told. But the extremely intermittent updates coupled with excitement to see a new episode but it’s a premium one behind a paywall have dashed my expectations that this series will reach a satisfying conclusion, if it even reaches a conclusion at all.

    Love it!
    Awesome podcast. Great stories.

    Sigh inducing
It was interesting for the first few episodes and then they cast off actually telling stories to instead tell some unoriginal meta narrative and have it go on forever. And the interpersonal relationships are cringe inducing. I’ll return when they actually start telling stories because the production value is great, the voice actors are good, it’s just the style that’s… sighhhhhh

    I expected better
This was very disappointing. Started off okay, except for the terrible voice acting. It’s kind of a rip off of Magnus Archives due to the tape recording aspect of the story. Really did completely waste my time after the first few episodes. WTH Rusty Quill/Cole Weavers???

    Downhill fast.
I liked this podcast for the first couple of episodes, with the exception of the friends’ “banter”. They were actually telling stories. Then, for some reason they switch gears to stop telling stories, and continue with some pretend Scooby Doo mystery that is only about themselves. No more stories. Why?? That “story line” lasts about 20 episodes (I think TT017 is where you finally get another actual tiny terror), so be prepared (if you’re here for the short stories). This podcast would be so much better if they just got straight to the stories. 🤷🏼‍♀️

    Phenomenal!
The storytelling is above and beyond. The pacing is just fantastic. The meta dialogue absolutely had me rolling on the floor. The natural, emotion filled voice acting had me double/triple checking this wasn’t biographical. 😂

    Perfectly Done
This is the best horror story podcast I’ve ever listened to! I’m so glad I found a podcast like this. These horror/creepy fans expertly and affectionately read a SHORT creepy story each episode. It makes you feel like a kid sharing creepy legends you’ve heard at night with your friends around Halloween. And there’s plenty of unexpected surprises!

    This is absolutely phenomenal!
I love the mini portion of stories which this underlying narrative of Mark, Cole and D! They feel like real people with then in-betweens on convo and little jokes. I listened to all episodes after work one day and I am loving it. I can’t wait to hear more

Great start, looking forward to more
Tiny Terrors really living up to its name. The stories are unsettling and the framing device seems interesting. I’ve loved hearing Corey Weaver in other RQ works, so it’ll be interesting to hear his work as a director. As always, props to the actors and sound designers working on this. Definitely making it a fun short to listen to.
