TamuelaGreat topics - totally relate!I especially loved your mean girls episode. Unfortunately, this is a phenomenon in workplaces. I would like to also dig a little deeper and figure out why women don’t support women but unfortunately, it is true for a lot of cases. I was fortunate enough to start working in 1986, and during the year that I was starting my career, the mentality and the workplace was that everyone loved the brand they constantly would give out free T-shirts bags whenever they launched a new product. There are lots of teambuilding activities like global conferences and stadiums so you could meet all of the people that you work with around the world and regular events throughout the year fall festivals at farms hayrides, Christmas parties in South Station. Being a part of a corporation felt like being a part of a community and a family. I noticed the shift for me in 2004 2005. A lot of people came on that or less dedicated and loyal to the brand that they were working for and they’re only goal was to come in and work 2 1/2 years and then leave for a higher position. The environment, even within my same company was more competitive, and since the goal, now for the employees was to be noticed and be promoted, there was a lot more gossip backstabbing, dehumanizing of their coworkers. It is a sad state of affairs cause we spend all of our waking hours at work and you’re in a situation where you were judged by your output and your contribution to a and are discarded the minute that you are not. I feel like I worked in the Galapagos islands for the first 20 years of my life and then in the Sahara desert the second 20 years of my work life. The environment has changed in the last 20 years because the goals of the individuals within the company have changed.

omegaRedsithMicro aggression showIn reference to today’s show, the lady was angry about her paycheck because she may not know a lot about income tax etc.

Kindred hikerGood content, but…I have listened to a number of episodes. Gina, in particular, constantly interrupts the guests, goes off on tangents, and inserts personal anecdotes. It’s so hard to listen to, I think I’m done trying.
-
Ginny 💎Giving it to you real!I adore Gina & Nicola. They are both amazing and hilarious. The direct approach and realness they bring to help people navigate toxic workplace environments and encourage personal growth is refreshing.

BluesystarGreat podcast!I love this podcast because they’ve been through what many of us have and it’s totally relatable. My only criticism is, let your guests speak without a lot of interruption. Otherwise, excellent! Update, you just read my review on your season finale episode. I feel like you didn’t take the constructive criticism too well. That kind of makes me wonder who was the problem in the workplace. Just saying.

Kikip1058Good content. Hosts interrupt too oftenI recently found this podcast and have listened to several episodes. I like the content, however the hosts interrupt their guests so often that it’s not only distracting, but doesn’t allow them to fully tell their stories without constant starts and stops. I’d love a bit less over talking commentary from the hosts and more listening to what their guests are sharing.

mads611AMAZINGI was in a very low place with my toxic work environment. This podcast has validated everything I have ever felt towards my workplace. You guys have truly helped me and I’m obsessed!!! Thank you ❤️

mariahbestSo Good!My new favorite podcast. Very entertaining and really informative. Having worked in two of the most notoriously toxic work environments in the US (restaurants and military) this has helped affirm and validate my experiences and learn how to avoid these situations in the future. Even if toxic workplaces are not your ideal listening topic, you’ve got to give episode 4 and 5 a listen. Episode 4 is absolutely wild! Episode 5 is very informative if you consider yourself to be even a tiny bit introverted. This makes me look forward to Tuesdays!
