I came across this dynamic duo a few months ago (sept 11th red bandana ep.) and have been binging ever since. I wasn’t into crime podcasts prior, but their delivery is unmatched! I even listened to a different crime podcast just to see if I was as into it, and Psychopedia spoiled me. Excited for Slater & Tank’s journey as this show’s reach grows.

I had low expectations for this podcast just because I have never heard of it and am weary about comedy true crime podcasts. But I was interested in listening to a podcast about diddy and wow I was not disappointed and am now a huge fan! I thought Tank was such a bro haha but I actually agree with him on so much that he says. He seems way more evolved than he comes across. And Slater’s research is so well done and presented so well. I’m seriously so impressed.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Psychopedia is an absolute must-listen for true crime fans. Slater’s storytelling is captivating, well-researched, and presented with the perfect mix of suspense and thoughtful analysis. Tank always brings his unique blend of humor and sharp insight. They handle each case with care and depth, going beyond the headlines to provide real insights . Psychopedia has been a top favorite of mine for about a year now. I love the way Investigator Slater dives deep in to research, writes the most amazing script, and then delivers the best podcast around. Tank Sinatra always has the most amazing and hilarious things to add and also infuses such great insight and personal world experience and knowledge in to the show. They are an amazing duo and really grab your attention and keep you wanting more week to week.

You are definitely not the only true crime comedy podcast. Small Town Murder and it’s not even close, but nice try. If there were not those awkward, fake moment and exchanges between you two, it’d be 5 stars. But there are those, “I’m better than you” moments and there are too many of them. How could you ever claim to be the only true crime comedy podcast when you’re not even the best true crime comedy podcast. Had to drop another star cause I’ve heard it many times. You can fast forward about 12 minutes into every podcast to skip the ads and banter to get to the show.

They way this podcast has me excited for Wednesday’s is crazy. I follow them on Patreon too because I can’t get enough. Thanks for making car rides enjoyable:) even got my BF into this podcast and he doesn’t listen to any other podcast

I have been listening to podcasts for a long time, from comedy to true crime. The way that Slater weaves the stories is unparalleled to any other ones I have listened to. Not only does she have amazing story telling skills, she exudes compassion and empathy in many cases that can be difficult to hear. I appreciate her dedication and research to each and every case; it shows that she is not only invested, she has heart in everything she does. Tank….bring so much levity to each episode when it can be a heavy moment. Sometimes those moments of candor and lightness can ease an otherwise hard story. I literally wait every week for this pod to come out so I can listen/watch immediately! It has gotten me through my pregnancy and many sleepless nights. Slater’s research is thoughtful and thorough and Tank’s commentary provides a nice balance and keeps my husband listening so I can play true crime on road trips.

I’ve been listening to true crime for decades now and have listened to all the podcasts under the sun. This is BY FAR my favorite. Slater brings such in depth research. Even if it’s a case I’ve heard done before, she’ll bring something new and a perspective that honors victims while trying to breakdown and understand the perpetrators. Tank is hilarious and his reactions to the cases are probably the only time I’ve literally laughed out loud while listening to a podcast. For me, it’s the perfect balance of the details of cases and levity.

I’ve been a fan of Psychopedia since day one, first episode. Last year, I was in their top 1% of listeners!! I am also subscribed to them on Patreon. I’ve never been a fan of podcasts, except this one. I love my Wednesdays knowing I can hear a new case from Slater each week, and I thank her truly for her commitment to delivering thoroughly researched content for me each time. I also love Tank! Tank breaks up the seriousness of the case each time in such an unhinged yet thoughtful manner as if he knows when the listeners need a break from the heaviness. Their dynamic, sublime. Their attitudes of SHOWING UP (energy) to each episode, baller. Thank you for all that you guys do.

I’ve been listening to this Podcast since episode 10. I truly love the way Slater presents the cases and how deeply she researches the topic. Even on cases Ive heard so much about before, she’s brought something new to the table. Tank is really good at throwing in the levity and asking all the right questions. They work so well together and their sense of humor is right on track for me. You really feel like you know these two right off the bat and you just feel like they are your true crime besties immediately. They are also very respectful to the victims which is so important. Favorite new true crime podcast! Perfect combination of murder and comedy (who knew they went so well together!?). This podcast is so fascinating and well done, plus Investigator Slater’s quizzes will definitely keep you on your toes!

I’m a working mother as well, and I marvel regularly at the amount of hours you find to deliver something to those whom you’ve never even met. Slater’s passion is clear with every episode that comes out. I cant even begin to imagine how much work and research she puts into each case. Her writing is exquisite, captivating, and gripping. Tank brings his own wisdom and humor into each episode which is refreshing. I love the dynamic between you two and feels like I’m just hanging with a couple of friends. No really! I started listening to you all when I started going on short daily walks around my neighborhood. Before I knew it, my walks became longer and longer so I could get the full episode in and now I manage a full episode and halfway through another (I still have some I haven’t listen to but too many at this point) Before I knew it, 15 lbs gone and walking up to 5 miles almost every day. I try to listen to other podcasts and they just don’t compare. The research, writing (Slater, you are a genius with words) and humor have spoiled me. Keep it up. You are awesome!

Seriously I came for the crime and stayed for the combo. I love the respect and care that Slater ensures each victim gets - making sure THEY are not forgotten or overlooked. Slater is 50% of the duo but 80% of the reason I love this show so much (sorry Tank you’re great 😍).

I would just like to start by saying I am a hardcore true crime podcast enthusiast. Somehow the chaos of the stories make my day-to-day life less scary (ER/trauma nurse, mom, masters student). Investigator slaters research and story telling is unmatched with any other podcast I’ve tried, and the only reason I’ve searched for another is because I’ve already finished every single morsel of content they give us (YAY PATREON), and I crave more, but still, nothing else can scratch my psychopedia itch. Tank’s incredibly versatile brain library is mind blowing, the man can really impart wisdom, not just full cup tiddies, and to mix knowledge with full blown LOLs, can make the learning of truly chilling stories into something bearable for us non psycho humans. I’m not a podcast person at all but I’m so glad I gave this one a shot. I really appreciate how much effort Slater puts into research and Tank brings the perfect amount of levity without being disrespectful. The absolute chokehold this podcast has on me 😩 I look forward to it every week. I think the hosts are down to earth, relatable and interesting. Slater’s detailed research paired with her fantastic storytelling, then add in Tank’s humorous quips, this show keeps me interested the entire time. I find them respectful of the victims (an important aspect to me). Yes, there’s a decent amount of opening ado. If you don’t like it, fast forward, dummy. Also, the audio quality is excellent!

Very entertaining, and I like the original twist put on the storytelling by adding in the Pop Quizzes sprinkled throughout. Investigator Slater is very respectful and victim-focused, and you can tell she puts a lot of heart into what she does every episode.

I have eclectic podcast listening habits - this is one of the few true crime podcasts that I enjoy. And I don’t just enjoy it - I love it. Why? Tank and Slater keep it real. They are perfect complements to one another - Slater the funny, kind, thoughtful deep-dive investigative researcher and natural storyteller, Tank the quick-witted, bright, hilarious foil with a big giant heart and a back story to boot. They are respectful of crime victims and their families. They have an awesome rapport and an ever deepening friendship that is fun to witness in real time. Give this one a shot - you won’t regret it.

This was my #1 podcast on my Spotify wrapped this year. Top .05% of listeners and that’s DESPITE the fact that I subscribed on Patreon. I get bored and there’s no new episodes, no problemo friends. I start over at episode 1. I love it, husband loves it. Our go to podcast for when we’re doing chores, on a monotonous drive, or if it’s just been a *week* and we just want to sit and listen to Slater’s soothing voice and Tank’s hilarious jokes. If you haven’t listened, LISTEN! You learn so much, and there’s been a few cases that I’ve followed in real time that Slater gave additional details to that BLEW MY BRAIN WIDE OPEN. I am pretty picky when it comes to my true crime podcast and let me say this one is top tier! Investigator Slater may be small but man are her words mighty. Her name should be Slayer Slater the way she slays the English (and sometimes even foreign) vocabulary. Everything is brilliantly researched and presented with empathy but relieving humor as well. I always appreciate Tanks Tiddies and his willingness to be open and real with the listeners. This is a dynamic duo not to be missed! The best podcast I’ve ever listened to. I wasn’t “into” true crime, or even podcasts, before I listed to Psychopedia and I’m really only interested in both because of these two. Their respectful dynamic, honesty, and how they speak from the heart when talking about the victims is incredible. I started listening because I knew Tank from tanksgoodnews and I appreciate his perspective on basically everything. This podcast introduced me to Slater and she is a breath of fresh air. Slater and Tank- I love listening to you both. I’m a night shift nurse and maybe I’m a little psycho, but I listen on my breaks at work while the world sleeps. This podcast has gotten me through some long shifts! It’s the perfect mix of comedy and true crime. I typically prefer true crime podcasts that do deep dives on one singular case during their season, but each episode of Psychopedia is very in depth thanks to investigator slater’s intensive research and willingness to be open and honest when she doesn’t have the answer to a question regarding the details that Tank may have. It’s one of the few shows that can describe very violent cases in depth - hilariously, I may add - while staying mindful that the victims mentioned were real people with thoughts and feelings.

I travel multiple times a week for work and podcasts are my main source of entertainment when I drive. I like different genres, but true crime has always been my favorite. About a year ago I was running low on options that were worth listening to. That’s when a friend introduced me to Psychopedia. I listened to the first few episodes and I was HOOKED! I love the storytelling that Slater brings in a way that pulls you in, plus Tank’s commentary and quotable moments (I LIVE for Tank’s Tiddies) make the darkness of the cases easier to get through. I always feel like I’m hanging out with my friends. You can tell that both Tank & Slater care deeply about making the world a better place! I will continue to be tuning in each week and leaning on them for support as I travel. They are truly my ride or dies!
