    amsterdam elitist
this dude said on bluesky he’s trying to reduce the size of his american audience because we take criticism as an insult?? i’m not even american. but this dude is an elitist and it’s really sad to see it happen because i’ve been following for so long. it just rubs me the wrong way and is unacceptable to treat people like that no matter where they’re from.

    This is definitely needed !!!
I’m looking forward to two conversations that’s never talked about . First, abolishing the Standard Zoning Enabling Act of 1916 . This would destroy the Car and Airline industry and legalize mixed used walkable cities. Secondly, abolishing the Esch-Cummins Act of 1920 . Continuously if we abolish Euclidean land use preferable and the 2 billions parking spots . America would need to reduce funding for the freeway system and reinvest in the rail systems and nationalize it . Climate Change is at the forefront of all and everyone’s mind and this would help quell most concerns.

More seriously, this is an excellent discussion series about the issues with urban planning and car dependency. If you’re into NotJustBikes, you’ll like this.

    A creator worth following
Jason’s YouTube work greatly helped changed my views on cars, bikes, transportation and how we build our world, putting in words a long lingering gut-sense I couldn’t have described. He’s an excellent communicator and advocate for people-focused transit and towns. Whatever he gets up to here will be absolutely worth your time to listen. Jason, thank you!
