188427Awesome show……butEverything about this pod is great, but the latest ep with Larkin Poe was ruined by a click track running over top. As much as I am accustomed to the monotonous drone of a click in my ears, I’d rather have that when playing on a stage or recording. Please rerelease the episode so I can enjoy it because I love them!

blaterson 85ZakThe episode with Zak was awesome, keep it up Shifty!!

Zrock3:16SlashI know it's gonna happen, and I can’t wait to see it.

Geoff.DA FANTASTIC guitar podcast!I love Shifty’s music and his fantastic guitar chops. He has had some great guests on the show and I really enjoy hearing them talk through how a specific lick on one of theirs songs is done. Shifty is pretty humble when he talks about learning the riff. However, he always kills it! I have narrowed down the list of podcasts I listen to. This is one is definitely a keeper and a real favorite. I look forward to each episode drop.

MikeBreedloveIt’s about TimeAbsolutely dug the Brad episode. . I still think YOU are the Foo’s sound .. Keep rocking it Mike Breedlove Costa Mesa , CA BTW Chris , you are a thug on the guitar. My best friend plays lead guitar on a 80’s to present ( original member ) hair band . I had him listen to some Dead Presidents and now he gets it . My 19 year old son kills it on guitar and your his favorite player . He makes me watch and listen to your fret work. Tell the engineer to turn up your guitar on the next album . You & Nate both deserve way more than alkaloids . We are hopeful to get to the be able buy tickets next LA / Orange County area shows. Keep knocking us out & keep these podcasts coming. Be well brother ✌️

Surfdog75Fantastic!Thanks Chris and crew! I love Walking the Floor and the way Chris interviews the artists. Shred with Shifty takes it to a new level of woodshed-ability for guitar players and non guitar players will love it too. I feel like I’ve learned so much about the creative process. Can’t wait for more episodes. Look forward to seeing you at the Belly Up Chris!

Eeeeb444Really the best dude to start withThe first episode was amazing and you started with the most talented and humble guitarist in Alex Lifeson. I’m now officially hooked as a professional guitarist and a podcast listener. Good job Shifty.

joesmithrealnameWHAT JUST HAPPENED!?!?I am without speech. I stumbled upon this by accident. I’m a radio RUSH fan, and saw them in the late 80’s in Hartford. If you like Classic Rock, Guitar, and especially if you like Alex Lifeson, check it out. Alex walks you through how to play one of his more iconic solos from LIMELIGHT. WHAT A SMILE THIS PUT ON MY FACE.

sunnyrollinsTransformative!First, young people, when I was a kid to learn a song or a solo, I sat with the tape recorder for the song to play then catch it, hoping to capture the entire song. Then play, stop, rewind, play the guitar, stop the tape… over and over and over. Now, Alex Lifeson is live explaining his bends and vibrato techniques (and why) nice and slow on a podcast with Chris Shifflet! So first, I think I speak on behalf of all musicians Chris - THANK YOU!!!! Thank you for starting with Alex! The man is an artist, zeroing in on the song’s meaning and finding notes, expressions that sing/speak to the message of the song. In the age of AI, autotune, crap music, we need this, and I hope everyone pauses, and appreciates how miraculous it is to watch your heroes play together and we can learn it. A-maze-zing!!!!!!!!!!!
-
SigmundcGreat 1st one!Okay, the interview with Lifeson was simply first rate … Can’t wait to hear more of this stuff.
