This is a great podcast and looking forward to more episodes. I am an audiobook guy and want to listen to Michael’s “Fall of the house of Murdaugh” if possible? I’d assume he would have this book a bit more printed since many people like him and the podcast members. Love you all! Looking forward to hearing the book. Just listened to the Bull Street episode. Great job as always. Also, did you know the movie Chattahoochee from 1989 with Gary Oldman and Dennis Hopper was filmed there.

“I’m sure the Bible tells us a lot about temptation and sin, so you’d think that the Reverend would kind of be on guard for that, but apparently not.“ This is just about the best sentence I’ve heard on a podcast in a very long time.

This episode made me laugh and brought back so many memories of my Papa. He talked about eating possum all the time when I was little. His dad Bill Powell was the Chief of Police in Calhoun Falls and he also made moonshine back in the 40’s till the early 60’s. I love hearing how things were back then.

I love all the history about this family I’m doing a paper on Alex for my criminal law class. As I do my own research this family really thinks the are untouchable, well it looks like their not! Keep the stories coming

We already loved Matt and Seton from their podcast and Michael is a fantastic addition. He has such a way with words and he uses his talent to weave us through history.

You will be pleasantly surprised by this podcast ! It’s great content and the perfect format -Michael’s writing is very engaging & starts every show, then it’s loosely scripted so it’s much more than rambling (thanks Seton), but there’s enough flexibility so the hosts have spontaneous conversations. Great job team !

I am from a small town in Georgia a few hours away from y’all—. We vacation in the low country every year. This pod cast has completely caught my attention!! I love it!!

The first show was great. I enjoyed the fact that all of you went through the three Murdochs. It gave a much needed insight to how Alex Murdoch would have been raised. It would be really cool if Mr Dewitt could interview Alex about his childhood and how they influenced his life.

The trailer and first episode were terrific. No one can tell stories like Southerners! I have older cousins all over Tennessee who can prove it. Not to mention we’ve already heard from Mr. DeWitt numerous times in recent months — he’s got the delivery, vocabulary, intellect, and education, and an affection for the Low Country to make The Wicked South both charming and insightful. I’ve been a fan of Matt and Seton since they started with the Murdaugh situations in 2021. Collaborating with Mr. DeWitt is icing on the cake! Hi, I live in Virginia but I love all stories south and Mr DeWhitt is a wonderful storyteller. I grew up in a very historical part of the state and we literally drip Revolutionary War and Civil War. I am 77 years old and had never listened to a Podcast until my daughter sent me Impact of Influence and I got absolutely hooked on the Murdaugh saga. My family has spent many summers in Sea Pines, Charleston and Savannah so I feel somewhat connected. Keep up the good work as I look forward to each new episode. Seton and Matt y’all are awesome too.

Absolutely loved this podcast and can’t wait to hear more. Michael is journalist as well as a Hampton local and historian. Who better to tell the real story of the history of the Murdaugh family. Excellent!!

I’ve been listening and closely following the Murdaugh saga since the summer of 21. I look forward to hearing more of the tales from Michael Dewitt. He has always struck me as the man that is there to be the one to tell the stories.
