Wet4Freedom69‘Teaser’? Au contraire! This podcast preview goes ‘all the way.’Today is laundry day. I don’t typically wash my clothes on Thursdays, but my inaugural listen to the teaser for the brand new podcast series, Sex in the Cinema, instantaneously delivered a burst of full-bodied excitement that prematurely violated my last pair of clean trousers. The host’s titillating vocal timbre is the show’s secret sauce. Torie June Gehrig-Estrella, blogger of Bloody Mary’s turned priestess of cinematic squirting, delivers her exquisitely rendered sermons with a suggestive thrust that could make Death Valley moist. Each syllable of each word uttered by accomplice Maggie Martine is massaged into delirious euphoria; in every vowel exists a valley, penetrated by linguistic lightning in a storm of consonants. The affair isn’t autoerotic, however. Gehrig-Estrella and Martine’s sultry narration finds a passionate suitor in the program’s crisp production value. Each subtle pop and snap induced from the perfectly placed microphone strikes one’s earbuds like the lash of a bullwhip against an overfed businessman’s ruddy bottom after having spent his last Taiwanese dollar. Except our credit cards are far from maxed out after this tryst, as Gehrig-Estrella and Martine exposes themselves to their audience free of charge. Lacking a full episode to its name, it is difficult to speak of the series any descriptive detail. But as Gehrig-Estrella and Martine flash listeners with a seductive glimpse of their thinly covered mastery of the sinful and celluloid, listeners can be confident that what’s to come will push traditional notions of pleasure, film, and womanhood so dangerously close to the edge that the privilege of listening may require a safe word. In the meantime, it can be safely said that this new fan was teased to completion.
