Voices of our Herbal Elders: Inner-Views with Rosemary Gladstar

Join Rosemary Gladstar as she invites herbal elders to share the stories of their journey into the lush world of plants in these Inner-Views.

“It is the elders who have kept the teachings of herbalism alive through generations of time, the wise ones who taught the children how to find the plants, how to speak with them, and how to make medicine from them. This lineage, though weakened, still lives on, and our hearts hunger for this connection to our traditions.” ~ Rosemary Gladstar’s Herbal Recipes for Vibrant Health (© 2008 Storey Publications)

    Deep Respect
I cannot say enough about how much listening into these conversations between Rosemary and her friends means to me. So much deep wisdom and so many encouraging, hopeful stories. These are the kind, sensitive high vibrational beings that the world needs to be listening to at this point in the history of the human race.

I’m so excited about this podcast
Rosemary is divine. I will always stop to listen to the sound of her voice and she never fails to uplift and inspire. The first episode with David Winston is wonderful and I am looking forward to all the episodes to come. I highly recommend her books as well.

We need to honor the first nations people
As an Indigenous person, I have difficulty digesting- hearing white male elders mention their influences (mostly, all white men) but not once mention the Indigenous people who cared and loved this country before them. Sure, settlers came with their home land herbal ways, but how do you think they learned about the plant people on Turtle Island?! He mentioned giving tobacco (known from indigenous ways) but no mention of us. Nor did he say any educator influences that are Asian. I am giving this podcast 4 stars as it is just beginning and I do love Rosemary. I hope she honors indigenous elders. This is where I would have started.
