Every week hosts Raj Punjabi-Johnson and Noah Michelson choose a different topic – from saying sorry to casual hookups to fighting climate change – and enlist experts and guests with big opinions to debate and strategize the best ways to tackle everything that’s constantly thrown at us. By the end of each episode, you’ll be wiser, less worried and more equipped to do every day a little better.

    Ehhhh…
Sometimes the advice is useful, but the airport episode really lost me. The takeaways are get TSA Precheck, pay for lounge access, if there is a problem with your flight, call Daddy and have him fix it.

7 minutes of ads at start?!
Hosts need to learn about “ad bloat”. 7 minutes of ads at start is rude. Also, stick to your show title concept, many episodes don’t focus on the hows of doing something better. Unsubscribed.

    Cannabis show
I used to really dig the show, but after the Weed episode, I think I’m done. That science isn’t real and that strains don’t exist is just pure ignorance. Especially after she had just been told about the endocrine system and the receptors, the human body has poor cannabinoids. If you think you already know everything why did you have a subject matter expert come on and then discount everything they had just said really bad and really disappointed.

    Kids Talkin
this is a podcast for people under 30. These are kids hosting it and they talk and sound like kids, and they just don’t really have much wisdom or awareness. I’ve tried to listen to several episodes and I can’t get through one. Because what they find fascinating or profound is not what I find fascinating and profound. it’s like discovering that Godspeed backwards his dog. It’s that kind of Eureka! Because they’re young and that’s OK. But the podcast is not for people over 40.

    Love!
I love wellness podcasts, but some can be so dense and overwhelming. I love how simple and light hearted these are.

    Subscribe and learn a lot!!!
Unpretentious, honest talks. Great subjects, discussions, comments, kindness, not judgy! A very safe, interesting place to learn a lot of things you sincerely need to understand! I enjoy this so much. Recommended.

Am I doing it wrong… feedback
I appreciate the topics and the candor in the conversations. I appreciate they are like every day topics we look to the internet for advice, I appreciate the simplicity, for me it is an asset. I’ve shared some episodes with my students and younger loved ones. I hear the complains about it being on surface. I want to say there’s no need to change your style please, we like you! but maybe incorporate recommended resources at the end to continue further learning that topic such as books, documentaries etc. maybe the guests can suggest them and you can leave their info and website on the description. I hope this feedback was helpful.

Not for older people, I guess
Maybe y’all just don’t do much research before taping, but I find almost all of this advice far too basic. I just listened to the grocery shopping episode. You don’t make a list before you go? You shop at Whole Foods? Podcasting must pay pretty good.

    Everyday useful!
Love this podcast. Very practical tips many of which I have implemented in my daily life. Hosts have great rapport, I love their honesty. Keep these episodes coming!!

    Fun podcast! One observation…
Really enjoy listening to the various topics on this podcast and feeling the energy shared between Noah and Raj. And this leads to the times when replaying what Noah said several times in an episode because Raj has jumped in without him completing his thought can be a little annoying when I just want to enjoy it in one sitting.

    I had no idea
I’ve learned a great deal from your podcasts thank you.

    New fave
I started listening to this podcast last year but not regularly. When I started listening regularly, it has become one of the podcasts I look forward to the most! I learn something in every episode that I can incorporate into my life/routines. I also appreciate how the experts recognize how culture affects simple things like showering. I don’t always agree, but I still listen with an open mind. And that laundry episode saved my clothes!

    Look forward to EVERY EPISODE!
I moved from Florida to a peninsula in Washington. Family&friends are thousands of miles away. Raj&Noah are like friends offering good advice. They ask&get answers to my questions(even how to leave this review.) I now share their podcast with my other friends. Thanks for Am I Doing It Wrong!

A great one to share with everyone
Am I doing it wrong is a much-needed podcast to share with everyone in my life, especially those that don’t align with my political beliefs. In an increasingly polarized media scape, there are fewer and fewer opportunities to share something that is as much informative as it is delightful to listen to, with topics and discussions that don’t cause conflict. I wish there were more out there like this.

Managing privacy online episode is inadequate and superficial
Sorry, but I was expecting so much more solid advice. The managing privacy online episode is very superficial and basically all the expert’s advice amounts to: is it’s up to you, your choice. Way too high level. There’s too little description about the downsides and specific hazards. There’s not enough exploration of what happens if you turn everything off and what you lose. Honestly, pretty disappointing.

    Looooove it
Insightful and chock full of advice that’s actually relatable. Really happy to have discovered this show

    Debt
Just listened to the debt issue as a gen x I had no idea about credit cards my parents never talked about finances. Now I check the interest on my credit cards at least once a year when I noticed them all going up I got a personal loan to clear my balances. And I do my best to not carry a balance. Younger people also don’t realize that credit cards used to be able to make the minimum payment lower than the interest charge so you never paid down the principal. I think Elizabeth Warren is the only politician who helped make credit card companies accountable for these practices. It matters who you vote for because they will be the ones to enforce regulations on banks.

    Great ‘morning breakfast’
Fantastic podcast, guys! It’s frequently my morning workout podcast. Refreshing and about as much mental work I want to do while working out early in the morning. Thank you!

    useful info for the mainstream
The general concept of the show works, but even if someone is an “expert” (especially if they’re chosen for being media savvy), they’ll still be wrong about some things, and, for me, a bit too “in the box.” I could give a few examples — you only need to wash your laundry in cold water, and the gentle cycle, not fast cycle, will sustain your clothes and washer motor and still clean fine. Sensodyne “works” because it has a numbing agent, which over time can’t be good for nerve endings. (Best to look into a night mouthguard for grinding.) The butt guy was good and what he said about not using wet wipes (although he didn’t seem to know about natural ones that don’t have chemicals). But wouldn’t regularly spraying chemicals (chlorine, etc.) in tap water via a bidet also mess up your flora balance like wipes? You use tap water in a tub or shower, but the area wouldn’t be as “exposed” as just after taking a dump. So good concept for folks who are kind of generally unschooled (not a criticism), but for those already fairly knowledgeable about the environment, health, etc., a deeper dive I think is required.

    Love it!!
I am loving this podcast! Such a fun easy way to improve on all the little daily things that really make a difference. Thank you for this!

    Who knew??
Saw an article on the New York Times webpage regarding this podcast and decided to give it a listen. The first one I listened to was about how to do your laundry. I have completely changed how I do laundry and I can’t tell you how much better it is. These guys and their guests are amazing.

    The podcast I didn't know I needed
This is a great find! So much useful information and I'm glad they have experts. And they ask the questions I would ask or follow ups I wouldn't think of.

    Watch your language
I enjoy listening to these hosts. But. There is literally NO reason the hosts need to curse on this show and there is vulgarity peppered in. I’m not sure you need to drop an F-bomb when speaking about your gut. It depreciates the value of what is being said. It’s not a ton but it’s enough for me not to listen with my kids in the back seat.
  • mouseofrob
    Very funny and very relatable
I love this show, I feel like the hosts have a genuine connection and they make me laugh. The topics are fabulously niche- sometimes I have no connection to the subject but the sense of humor and relatability always make me feel like I’m part of the gang. Really well done!!!
  • Unhappywithit
    This pair is so fun!
I love this show! It’s so neatly done and a breath of fresh air!

    American Flag means what?
I’m not sure where you all grew up but am American flag does not symbolize one party it symbolizes all of us. In your episode about online profiles it’s offensive to hear both the hosts and the guests referring to the flag of our country as some type of hate symbol for the right wing. To many options for good podcasts moving on.

    Dating apps
Seems like I was doing some of it right due to being a scientist by trade. But, being on the app originally a few hours a day scaled down to about 1 hour or less. Great advice and hoping to find my person.

Apology episode is changing my life!
What a perfect topic to cover, this episode nailed it and I’ll never be the same - THANK GOODNESS!!! Presented with absolute clarity by hosts and guest alike and sensitive to the general human condition that we’re all jerks and victims at some point in our lives and relationships. Thank you for helping me do better so I can be better. Can’t wait for more!

We found love with Am I Doing It Wrong
Absolutely loved the ‘Looking For Love’ episode with Noah, Raj and Jennie Young. Found myself smiling or laughing out loud at multiple points in the podcast. So fun, clever & relatable!

    Wowie!!
One of the best podcasts I have listened to. I try not to read the articles on HuffPo because I like the ‘cast surprises! I especially related to the dating app episode. Commentary on the American flag is spot on! Keep the knowledge coming!

    What losers!
Just listened to the credit card debt episode…..only follow their advice if you want to spend your life in debt as they most assuredly ARE doing it wrong!

    Fun, informative listen
Super smart concept. The show does a great job of unpacking these simple but big questions in a way that’s thoughtful, funny and useful. Can’t wait to hear more from Raj, Noah and guests!

    Great new podcast!
It’s like sitting around a table with friends that know a lot about something and just hanging out and learning

    Smart, thoughtful & funny
Noah & Raj are such naturals — I love listening to them dive deep with the experts on each topic! Loved the tipping & travel episodes 🙏 can’t wait to see what comes next!

Hosts use Profanity and sexual references
I appreciate the helpful information provided. I DO NOT appreciate the profanity and sexual references mixed throughout. So disappointing! Must quantity AND quality be so rare?
  • Magermajor
Comfort food for the social hypochondriac
This podcast is just great: it satisfies, it’s tasty, fun, and honestly just a wholesome experience to listen to. The two hosts are warm, curious and generous with their guests and I don’t feel condescended to or like the topics were contrived at all. I look forward to hearing about all the things I’m doing wrong😉
  • BenjiSJones
    LOVE — HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
the hosts are so fun, and i love that they each bring little research tidbits to the episode. i also learned stuff i didn’t know! i’m a fan!
  • Feha19
    Good feel,good info
Love the vibe of these hosts. Its like Im sitting down with my friends discussing whatever is on their minds- and then an expert shows up

    Tipping episode
I thought it will be something interesting, some insights but at the end it is just tip 20% or more almost everyone you’ve met during the day. If you can’t tip just don’t go out. I may be rude but if you’re not satisfied with your salary, just change it. If waiters will stop working for $2, they would be paid fairly eventually. As you mentioned in California waiters have a min wages but do people tip less because of it? No. So I don’t think min wages will fix the system.

    Thoughtful, fun, engaging, entertaining!
As someone who likes to research “how to/ what is” just about everything I really enjoyed having someone else do it so thoroughly and thoughtfully. Looking forward to the next episodes!
