I have been a huge fan of Alex Sarama since stumbling upon the Conceptual Offense just over a year ago. Now with a podcast, Transforming Basketball has become an extremely useful consolidated tool to continue learning from him and his guests. The material can be challenging if you are new to some of the terminology, but Alex makes a point to essentially give you the definitions as he is speaking in conversation (e.g: "The approach allows players to become more attuned to different Affordances, or opportunities for action.") which I find very helpful as constant reminders for the listener. I cannot get enough of this Pod and truly do believe that Sarama is onto something that truly should be TRANSFORMING the basketball world. I have applied the CLA with my team and mixed in the approach in "Player Development sessions" with teams that I am an assistant on and have noticed remarkable results almost immediately. For the sake of our athletes, I highly suggest that more and more coaches give these episodes a listen and try to apply them with their players. It truly is a game-changing approach.
