Appreciate the discussions, confused by moments of inaccuracy
Just listened to last watch back pod on Severance. So many good connections made and yet… like you all have a whole section of your conversation devoted to the music selections that you call needle drop. And you couldn’t just look up “Work Song” to know who the original artist is and make the last meaningful connection? Oscar Brown’s “Work Song” first performed by Nat “Cannonball” Adderley in 1960, famously covered by Nina Simone, is a narrative of the Black experience of historic American prison labor and plantation slavery. The work song has its own history as a Black American practice of field songs and hollers used for passing along information including possible ways of escape through song while held captive and forced to labor. Like….it was right there. So much there in the Innie’s predicament and back to Hampton’s descriptions of child labor in the ether factor at Salt’s Neck. What a weird thing to miss when you could have just looked it up even while talking to each other. I just don’t get it. But on second thought, considering how hard the group laughed when one among you made an actually keen observation of Mr. Milchick’s experience as an obviously minoritized employee, I guess the weird “blind spots” track. (And l one of you continuing to refer to Helena as Helaina, after two seasons. Bizarre)

The finale was fantastic and you are honestly ruining the joy I had in watching and sharing it with family and friends. I had to stop listening. Please consider your opinions are not the end all be all and your takes do not reflect the quality of the show and the ending to season 2.

    Sad by Racist Comment
I really enjoyed listening to this podcast weekly until last week’s episode when you read a racist listeners comment about Milchick. Why would you even repeat such a vile comment? As if black people can only be wordsmiths because of incarceration. How repellent! Bye…

Thank you for creating such an incredible podcast! What detailed and thorough analysis of Severance! I have never been one to geek out on shows, but since the start of season 2, my family and I have searched the internet for clues and commentary. Yours is by far my favorite podcast and I can’t get enough. I appreciate the research you’ve put into each episode and your humor and chemistry together is delightful. I find myself in conversation with you as I listen along…Bravo!

The only podcast of white men that I can stomach. That’s saying A LOT.

    Oooof
David is just painful to listen to. I e never heard a podcaster say absolutely nothing at all but talk so much. He is just an add for their “network”. He never has anything himself to say. It’s always “this person on our discord” “doing the extra episode you can buy with the season pass we talked about this”. Not to mention the horrific breathing and mouth sounds he makes while talking. He is without a doubt the worst podcaster on the interwebs. The other guys are great and this podcast would be great if David wasn’t involved. He would be an unbelievable producer of a podcaster. Anywhere that involves him not talking and sharing everyone else’s opinions mixed with an add.

    Titles titles titles
Great companion pod that really digs into the interesting discussions the show opens up. Smart, funny, & not just a regurgitation of Reddit theories. Ignore the negative reviews. Leaving an angry review bc a podcast host pronounces Helena as Helena is a weird choice y’all it’s giving yells at waitstaff

    Great show!
Highly recommend for your Severance deep dives. There is chemistry between the hosts and they throw in some great humor. I’ve incorporated “Please appreciate all hot takes equally” into my life.

    Insightful and Unique
The cast of this podcast offers a unique take and approach that other Severance recaps don’t offer - from production details to sound design insight there’s always something interesting when going down this goat hole. What are you waiting for - give it a listen, your outie already loves it ;)

I found these podcasters from Rings of Power and ASOIAF content and they are doing great work on Severance

    It’s IRV, not Burt!! 😂
Great discussion on episode 4, but every time one of the hosts was talking about Irv, he called him Burt— and every time I caught myself correcting him out loud! “It’s IRV!” How are y’all other hosts not correcting him in real time? 😂 But fun discussion and theories covered here! 👍🏻

Do you think this show will take assault seriously?
I just started listening to this show and I am now at episode 4. Hmm. Non-Consensual Love Scene? If your boss sexually assaults you by deception, there is no love there. I am curious how the show will address this. I know oMark slept with Alexa and didn’t ask iMark for permission, yet Innies feel more to me like teenagers and not fully adults…and what Helena did reeks of evil to me. It’s one thing to spy on people, but quite another to rape your employees. I hope it isn’t scene as a love scene to viewers. I hope Helena and Lumon repent for their crimes eventually.

Ok podcast but one of the guys keeps saying Burt when he’s referring to Irving. I just can’t keep listening as this really takes me out of this discussion.

    Best Severance Podcast Out There
I sampled several Severance podcasts and this one is clearly the best—smart, thoughtful, insightful. In companion with the Lorehounds’ Discord channels the Severance universe is exceedingly well covered!

Great Banter and Breakdown of Severance
Great insights on the a great Apple TV series. Anthony brings scholarly analysis and Steve brings the comedy. I loved Anthony on the House of the Dragon podcast and I’m glad he entered a new franchise.

    Great Banter
Can’t wait to hear what Steve and Anthony have to say about Severance! Great podcasters with a great dynamic. These two always have something great in store. Awesome to hear them in the same podcast as the Lorehounds.
