This show is great for people from all over to be connected with a lesbian community, especially those who don’t have them in their personal life!

After watching the play All Nighter this week (March 2025), I found the July 2024 podcast on figuring out sexuality after sexual trauma with Kathryn Gallagher and found it to be such a thoughtful, meaningful interview. Would recommend it to anyone (queer or not) who has been through sexual trauma. Excited to check out other interviews on the podcast

I’m so fortunate to have found this podcast! I find it to be the perfect amount of casual, listening and important-a great soundtrack to getting ready in the morning. Mal always asks the right questions and makes the interview seem more like a conversation among friends. I like the mix of light-hearted subject matter and more hard hitting ones. Just holding out for an interview with Alexandra Swarens! 🤞🏽

As a “late-in-life” queer woman I truly relate. Plus I love seeing all the the different perspectives in the queer world. Also, I just listened to the episode with Devery Jacobs; are we skipping over the fact that the character she plays in her show has the same name as the baby from the 1988 film “Willow”? lol (Elora Danan)

The host is kind, compassionate, and hysterical. I love the variety of guests and the format of the show. It’s a must watch! Thank you for all the work you guys put into this podcast. 💜

I’ve never previously written a review for a pod cast, but I felt it necessary with how much I’ve loved this show, in all its forms - standard interviews and now “to the Polls”. I don’t know Mal, and as a wlw who lives in LA I certainly wish I did! But through this show, I certainly feel a kinship with her. And that speaks to her exceptional and unassuming interview skills in conjunction with the production value of the show and caliber of interviews. I appreciate there is a structure to this show, other podcasts in this genre I find to be a bit scattered as they are a stream of consciousness from the host. I would especially recommend the episodes with Rachel Samples, Zoya, and Casey Tanner. Mal and team, I hope to run into you in the streets of Los Angeles soon, thank you for what you do, and I’m continuously impressed by you! From Tallulah in Malibu

I’ve seen every episode. So I guess this is my favorite podcast! I just saw the episode with Katherine Gallagher. That really underscored what’s great about “Made It Out”. It’s fun, it’s funny, it doesn’t take itself too, seriously, but then it gets serious and I make with the kvelling. (“I’m not crying you’re crying!”)

I’ve seen blips of this podcast pop up in my queer YouTube feed and then via friends. The Alyson Stoner episode was my first, but it won’t be my last! I’m 31, a late bloomer lesbian *and* Alyson was my queer crush growing up. THIS EPISODE WAS AMAZING (yes, I’m an all caps girlie too 🥸)! This podcast has DRASTICALLY changed my life as a late in life lesbian. Mal is a role model and hosts great guests that all prove: eventually you’re going to get to be EXACTLY who you are and want to be and it’s a beautiful thing. Wish this podcast was around when I was coming out in my 30s. Made it Out covers topics both big and small with guests that are entertaining and informative. It truly feels like you’re hanging out with some of your besties having a gay old time.
