LawdanMGreat show! This show is great for people from all over to be connected with a lesbian community, especially those who don’t have them in their personal life!

Anon15894I'm so glad I found this podcast after watching the Kathryn Gallagher interview on YouTubeAfter watching the play All Nighter this week (March 2025), I found the July 2024 podcast on figuring out sexuality after sexual trauma with Kathryn Gallagher and found it to be such a thoughtful, meaningful interview. Would recommend it to anyone (queer or not) who has been through sexual trauma. Excited to check out other interviews on the podcast

Amanda & AbenaGreat podLove the pod, hate the ad/sponsorship for manscaping products. I can’t quite listen past that… hoping a new sponsor will replace that! U-Haul/you ghost is my fave!
-
MichaelaM40Awesome showAwesome show with a lot of diversity with the interviews!
-
Shi McGheeHighly recommendReally powerful and touching conversations. I’d love to hear from some trans/transfem folx to broaden the perspective, especially with many people mentioning their experiences with trans/NB folx.

AmzngjlaMy go-to morning soundtrackI’m so fortunate to have found this podcast! I find it to be the perfect amount of casual, listening and important-a great soundtrack to getting ready in the morning. Mal always asks the right questions and makes the interview seem more like a conversation among friends. I like the mix of light-hearted subject matter and more hard hitting ones. Just holding out for an interview with Alexandra Swarens! 🤞🏽

Jennifer DashLOVE THE SHOW!As a “late-in-life” queer woman I truly relate. Plus I love seeing all the the different perspectives in the queer world. Also, I just listened to the episode with Devery Jacobs; are we skipping over the fact that the character she plays in her show has the same name as the baby from the 1988 film “Willow”? lol (Elora Danan)

Tallulah VictoriaA beautiful, funny & thought provoking podcast. The #1 wlw podcast.I’ve never previously written a review for a pod cast, but I felt it necessary with how much I’ve loved this show, in all its forms - standard interviews and now “to the Polls”. I don’t know Mal, and as a wlw who lives in LA I certainly wish I did! But through this show, I certainly feel a kinship with her. And that speaks to her exceptional and unassuming interview skills in conjunction with the production value of the show and caliber of interviews. I appreciate there is a structure to this show, other podcasts in this genre I find to be a bit scattered as they are a stream of consciousness from the host. I would especially recommend the episodes with Rachel Samples, Zoya, and Casey Tanner. Mal and team, I hope to run into you in the streets of Los Angeles soon, thank you for what you do, and I’m continuously impressed by you! From Tallulah in Malibu

apekatt kidMake it out to the polls!Loved this show before—Mal interviews so many interesting people with such care and the right amount of humor—but the “Made It Out (to the polls)” additional episodes are incredibly informative and important. Listen and learn and VOTE, friends!

Ka_LoopsKamala/Walz and Mal for President!!!South Carolina can be a dangerous and lonely place to be queer. Your podcast gives my partner and me a connection to our community that we can’t seem to find in our home state. Thank you for creating this platform and turning up the volume on queer voices!

HolmesNeenaAmazingI’ve followed and listened to this podcast from the beginning, but the latest episode with Katherine not only touched me, but opened my heart and my mind. You never truly understand what you could be going through until you listen to someone else share their story. I cried, I laughed, and I smiled the whole way through. Thank you for bringing this podcast to our eyes and ears. It helps in so many ways and makes me realize I’m not alone. I will forever cherish it and the stories you guys share. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

gabi.yoginiHEALING and helpful!!!!every episode i have seen is not only entertaining but has healed a part of me. Mal is not afraid to ask deep questions, does an amazing job carrying convos, holding space, and inviting the right (hilarious/wholesome) guests on the show. all the representation, all the important topics, all the education, advice, funny stories, and guidance you could ask for as a queer person and as a woman in the podcast ~ this whole podcast feels like therapy. thank you for doing what you do and creating the representation you wish you had. i feel changed every time i listen <3

81287910102Thank you thank you thank youMal, thank you for this amazing podcast channel. You touch so many lives, along with your guests and I know I’m speaking for lots of people when I say you are a safe space. Being queer is hard, hearing other peoples experiences is reassuring and it makes me feel less alone. ❤️
-
The Real DahlPerfect Combo of Fluff and Substance!I’ve seen every episode. So I guess this is my favorite podcast! I just saw the episode with Katherine Gallagher. That really underscored what’s great about “Made It Out”. It’s fun, it’s funny, it doesn’t take itself too, seriously, but then it gets serious and I make with the kvelling. (“I’m not crying you’re crying!”)
-
BabyGay93Big THANK YOU from a baby gay! This podcast has done so much for my baby gay heart. Perfect podcast to listen to as I make my way out of the closet! It feels as though I actually have friends who know what it’s like to walk my path; it makes me feel less alone. As a woman coming out post 30, it was a relief to find/hear stories of women around my age. Thank you so much for your time and effort with this show!

fi.flapLate bloomer lesbian’s haven you’re fine youI’ve seen blips of this podcast pop up in my queer YouTube feed and then via friends. The Alyson Stoner episode was my first, but it won’t be my last! I’m 31, a late bloomer lesbian *and* Alyson was my queer crush growing up. THIS EPISODE WAS AMAZING (yes, I’m an all caps girlie too 🥸)! My favorite quote was “ even though that’s the only map that I’ve had, that doesn’t have to be the only map that I use,” -Alyson Stoner 🩷🩷🩷 Thank you!!!!

cataylor96Gold Standard for a Late in Life LesbianThis podcast has DRASTICALLY changed my life as a late in life lesbian. Mal is a role model and hosts great guests that all prove: eventually you’re going to get to be EXACTLY who you are and want to be and it’s a beautiful thing. The podcast is informative, talks about current queer/lesbian topics, funny, enjoyable and easy to listen to. Please keep going!!!
-
wackygirlAwesome podcastWish this podcast was around when I was coming out in my 30s. Made it Out covers topics both big and small with guests that are entertaining and informative. It truly feels like you’re hanging out with some of your besties having a gay old time.

KDM950Love the pod!Love the pod, love the Becca Tilley ep! Keep em coming!
-
kpewzyPositively RelatableWith Mal’s optimistic personality, the real & vulnerable conversations not only flow well but are enlightening. Having these discussions in a public forum encourages normalizing them which I love. The best part, perhaps despite popular opinion, is probably her contagious, genuine laugh. I appreciate you Mal (and your gf working behind the scenes) for pushing these out!
-
ErinRe18FINALLY, a podcast about all the gay thingsAmazing podcast. Talks about real topics but while having fun and laughing. Great for queer people AND people who want to know and understand the queer experience better. Thanks for making this show!
-
Jami L. B.For Lesbians by lesbiansLove this podcast and how relatable it is! The heavy addition of therapy to each episode is great and absolutely beneficial to the community. Wish there was a patreon for more episodes!
