    Psychological horror rollercoaster
TL:DR, fantastic podcast, everyone who likes horror podcasts should listen! First, I’d give this 11/5 stars if I could. I’ve been listening to woe.bg since it started, and that’s how I became aware of this. I’m not sure if this is how Athan talks in real life, but at first, I was worried it was just going to be another Troy like character. I could not have been more wrong. There is a complexity of writing and a way to string the episodes together that keeps me on the edge of my… Driver seat? I am currently on episode seven and thought it was time to leave a review. If you like horror, you will love this. This podcast in my opinion is the perfect marriage of in the mouth of madness Chuck Pahlinuk’s fight club. While initially, I was concerned that it was going to be too much like will be gone given the similar casting I quickly realized Athan has his own vision and direction for his show and I cannot wait to see what happens next. Keep writing my man, this is phenomenal stuff. (I would like to apologize if I used incorrect pronouns in my review, as I was about to hit publish it occurred to me I didn’t properly research that aspect.)

Decent Show, but Holy Ads, Batman!!
That’s it. This is a decent show, creative concept, good sound, etc. But there is a full 4 minutes of ads at the beginning and another full minute of peddling Patreon before you can even get to the actual content. It’s just annoying, but whatever…

    Truly amazing
I’m not really one for subliminal horror. Or podcasts in general honestly. Yet this has pulled me in and is such an amazing listen. I’m about halfway through and just cannot wait for the rest. Bravo to the entire cast and Athan for such an amazing creation of music and storytelling.

    *really* good
when i listen to podcasts, i usually give it 30 episodes for it to get good. you don’t need to do that with the grotto. it’s incredible right out the gate. absolutely loving the gore and descriptions of pain in this series, they’re really well done and if that’s your cup of tea you’re going to love this. i would say where this series really shines is the depiction of grief; my heart completely goes out to the characters and matt’s bad decisions are really compelling. the music isn’t what i usually like, but i enjoy it anyway which is big for me lol. please listen to this podcast
