millennialintechLike Like LikeGreat pod. Matt please for the love of god get coaching on your excessive use of the word “like”
-
KwainoNot goodReally not detailed and hard to listen to. Hard pass.
-
foxnblocksUp and downSometimes very interesting, they don’t explain much of what they talk about so if you don’t have a finance background you’ll be lost a fair bit. Also are they financed by Bill Ackman? He is often gratuitously mentioned and always as “friend of the show”. Kind of a weird shout-out to year so much.
-
hencieoneAdsFar too many ads for a show of its length. Matt and Katie are great but the show should really cover topics not addressed by the newsletter.
-
sevret0134Uninformed drivelNew listener but likely won’t return. Nov 8th episode on pricing - Real Page, salary ranges, farmers markets - is uninformed. I was very surprised at the lack of analysis of the topic. Discussion was off the cuff, anecdotal versus based on theoretical and empirical research. The FTC Real Page investigation identifies an enforcement mechanism. Pretty clear from the hosts’ comments that they were commenting without reading the FTC report.

Kdavs03Matt is greatMatt is great and I would happily listen to him talk through more of his Money Stuff stories every week in podcast form. Sometimes the sound equalization between him and Katie is off (given their very different voice tones?) so it’s hard to hear him - would think that’s an easy fix. But as a woman - why does Katie have to come off as the dumb woman here? Seems she’s trying to sound ditzy and uninformed. The pico de gallo bit was hard to listen to, she doesn’t seem to have strong insights on ETFs which is supposed to be her thing.
-
bennett_njIt’s stuff about moneyInteresting and funny
-
nmomtwnTalk into the mikeMatt you should sound as clear as your partner. Often I lose the crux of the story because your always great thoughts are lost in a cacophony of sounds. Easy fix to make your podcast great.
-
Atomato777Levine and Katie are awesome!Great podcast about money stuff
-
DKN667EntertainingMoney Stuff is fun as a podcast too. Only recommendation is to have more content that wasn’t covered before in the newsletter - either Q&A or stories from ”Things Happen”
-
GTS-11Excellent all around- 1 star for (1) talking about ETFs all the time and (2) too many ads.
-
Gozzzy2020Add this to your list. Two of the smartest people in finance and we get to hear their braFinance and we get to see inside their brains for free!
-
Bus Insider junkieThe Excellent Matt and Katie showKatie does a great job pulling out Matt’s analysis and opinions we all subscribe to his newsletter for. Could do with a bit less ETF talk.
-
hwpwI love Matt LevineI talk about the newsletter at every opportunity, and I’m so excited there’s an audio version. Katie is a surprisingly great foil for Matt—I’m very charmed by their dynamic. Sometimes my king kind of mumbles and almost seems to be talking away from the mic, so I have to change the volume constantly when I listen, but whatever, I love it. No one in the media seems to love their job the way Matt does.
-
sir brandoNice PodBest new show, thanks Liz from True Anon for the rec.
-
OsageOKgirlLove the contentHowever, in trying to keep it fast and short, feels like Matt starts to mumble. Obvious he is well-informed and knows his stuff and can explain clearly to the lay audience: slow down, my guru.
-
philrenatoWe need a Serious Trouble/MS crossover episodeLove the show, amazing. -Phil the Jeweler
-
G_CrackerA good dynamic between informed reportersThese two do their research, and also seem pretty personable. An enjoyable pod to listen to

touristBEmbarrassing Number of AdsI’ve read the newsletter for years and was hoping the podcast would be more than a weekly rehash. It’s a good podcast if you don’t read the newsletter regularly and I’ll give it another month to get its footing. I’m surprised by the number of ads as a Bloomberg subscriber and was hoping this would go ad-free like Odd Lots. Odd Lots is a god-tier podcast and Money Stuff is a god-tier newsletter.
-
jayhay0Great MusicAnother great podcast entry by Bloomberg. Better music than Odd Lots, too! 😉
-
843zack113FinallyI’ve been hoping for this for a while. I love money stuff but as parent of a newborn I don’t have time to read the long column.
-
wpstasMore Matt, less KatieMore Matt, less Katie
-
stoicFlow. This podcast is too silly. I was hoping to have an opportunity to learn from Matt Levine, not to listen to him try to make me laugh for 30 minutes.
-
maykent2626Perfect Friday listenDo yourself a favor: unsubscribe from the All In podcast and make Money Stuff your week-ending listen. Fun, funny, informative - exactly the newsletter in audio form. And love the Matt/Katie dynamic as well. If I tell all my friends to subscribe is that insider trading?
-
Jason ... aWhat took them so long! These are entertaining and timely about financial events very enjoyable.
-
meeochWhy did it take you so long?Matt Levine…. Really? 🩷
-
Freddie JaToo many adsHighest % of ads to content you’ll see anywhere
-
bendi:bendoit’s goodwriting, talking — what can’t this guy do
-
jtsheetsAs AdvertisedAs advertised and satisfactory. Multiple units of stuff are discussed each week. Many, if not all, stuff units are about money.
-
nbsfmcDaily pod, please!Love this, better than the newsletter. Would be even better with fewer ads.
-
ssspectorMy New Favorite PodcastGreat content. Great dynamic of the hosts.
-
DWB23BrilliantStarted reading Matt’s newsletter years ago and his knowledge is unsurpassed. Being in the industry I’ve learned more about finance then I ever did in college or reading books. This is the one baby!!
-
ZYtarheelFinancial Jesus is now in our ears!Matt Levine might be my favorite comedian/writer in America and I’m so unbelievably happy he’s doing audio. Please make it daily. I need more money stuff and pray for another Argentinian bond default or rise in subprime dog loans for you to talk about. Make footnotes great again!!
-
Dr. HavokelixAds are unbearableSo many ads, and the same ones over and over. I’d gladly pay for an ad-free version.
-
JohnH1989AmazingEverything is securities fraud and other things that ML says are fantastic content.
-

Jack224At lastChatGPT Prompt: Write a review of Matt Levine’s finance podcast in the style of Cormac McCarthy. ChatGPT: In the barren expanse of financial discourse, where jargon blooms like weeds in cracked earth, Matt Levine's podcast emerges as a lone figure, navigating the desolate landscape with a blend of wit and insight. His words, like tumbleweeds in a windstorm, roll through the mind, stirring contemplation and revealing the stark realities of modern finance. With a voice as dry as the desert air, he delves into the intricacies of markets and regulation, stripping away the veneer of complexity to expose the raw essence beneath. In Levine's world, where bulls and bears roam free, listeners are invited to journey into the heart of economic darkness, where uncertainty reigns supreme and the only certainty is the inevitability of change.
-
hayesgmAt Long LastThe Money Stuff Podcast is an excellent review of markets and finance with the fun humor of Matt Levine on a variety of topics.
-
554228Needs a bit more stuff and a little less moneyGlad they are doing this and happy for the content but the advertising to content ration needs a little work.
-
JustHereForTheNoiseThe pod is just as good as the newsletter! Cant wait for more.I have been enjoying the newsletter for years, so it’s great to be able to get more of entertaining and insightful Money Stuff content as a weekly podcast. My only question is how are the footnotes going to work in an audio format…
-
Lost BeansWho knew money could be so fun?Delightfully entertaining, while sneaking in stuff about money and markets that you never knew you wanted to know. I’ve been a huge fan of Matt Levline’s newsletter, Money Stuff. This partnership with Katy Griefeld to create a podcast version is perfect.
