I’m a long time L2L listener and am just so impressed and delighted with this show and Tess in general. I was particularly inspired to write a review after the Diddy episode because she is just so fearless and thorough in her investigating. Pop culture can be fun and unserious, but she also doesn’t shy away from unpacking what the dark underbelly of fame and power is hiding.

Very clear the podcaster is on Blake’s side during the “it ends with us” podcasts. Would’ve preferred a more neutral, unbiased opinion on this situation rather than trying to make Justin the bad guy the entire 2 episodes. Shameful

This show covers stories with the right amount of color without compromising journalistic integrity. People on here complaining how she didn’t go hard enough for Baldoni have their own agenda: to hate women they deem annoying. It’s meant to be entertaining, Tess is true to her voice but ultimately sticks to the facts and crushes it every time!

I find it so frustrating and frankly disgusting that as you’re trying to make the case Justin’s team has twisted facts and events to make Blake look like the “bad guy,” you’re twisting facts and events. Which is so lame because anyone who has seen and or read or watched or listened to the hours upon hours of evidence (which has been deemed THREE times by a a Judge to be admissible in the their lawsuits) can clearly see how YOU are leaving out pieces that don’t support your interpretation. Wonder where you learned that play from…? He didn’t just say “it smells good” out of the blue. Blake apologized for the strong smell of her body makeup and spray tan and THEN he said “it smells good.” Possibly because it did; possibly to be nice. Also, her comments about his nose and suggestions he close production for a month because “it’s not too late” to address his nose with surgery were responded to with a self-deprecating comment and seemingly genuine laugh. Also, for someone who felt so wronged and uncomfortable about comments related to her appearance (which arguably could easily be necessary to the role - ie the lift scene that WAS IN THE SCRIPT) she sure didn’t find it inappropriate to joke about his appearance - by suggesting a radical response to fix it” - that was in no way relevant to the filming process. I have loved your show from day 1, but it’s like you’re being paid to say these ridiculous things. Disappointed and now doubting all of the previous shows and “facts” you’ve presented.

How does she know SO MUCH?!?! Tess’ aptitude for pop culture journalism is unmatched. These deep dives are so well researched, they are like reading a Vanity Fair piece. Seriously, no detail is spared and you will learn more about these subjects than you could ever even want. Love this pod!

This is exactly the investigative reporting podcast that I need! Tess dives into stories that compelled us back in the monoculture day, before reliable articles were published online and before podcasting was invented. It is so satisfying to finally get answers to questions from so long ago! Did Disney artists put sexual imagery in kids’ movies? Did Richard Gere stick a gerbil up his butt? And in order to solve the pop culture mystery, Tess takes us on a fun walk down memory lane, has hilarious discussions with her friends and delivers clever insights about how and why the mysteries came to be. Loving this series!!!

Tess is an incredible investigative journalist and we are so lucky to have her. Love this pod!

Such a fun, informative, entertaining podcast! Tess is a fantastic host and storyteller. Can’t decide if I love the conversational or investigatory episodes more, but I love the mix! You don’t have to be a pop culture junkie to enjoy these episodes, but you’ll feel like an expert after listening.

Tess does a great job exploring pop culture items we think we know!

I’m overall really enjoying this new podcast. I like the host and find the chosen topics to be nice easy listens. However I’m trying to listen to the Lindsay Lohan episode right now and the amount of straight up loud cackling laughter every 10 seconds between Tess and this episode’s co-host is just way too much. While the banter of a co-host can add a nice element compared to the solo episodes, the frequent extremely loud bursts of laughter is very distracting.

A great pod for any reality tv junkie! So fresh and compelling! Loveeee!

I don’t follow pop culture much, but this podcast has drawn me in! Tess brings rigorous research, super engaging storytelling (at the edge of my seat), curiosity, and humor to stories I’ve read headlines about or heard of, but never dove into myself. The themes and issues each story/episode touches are on very interesting and important.

I’m not even a huge pop culture fan, and I am obsessed with this podcast. I’m just a really big Lady to Lady fan who loves Tess and also loves a fascinating, twisty-turny story with scandal, mystery, and obscure details. This podcast definitely delivers on all fronts while also carrying the comfort and energy of a sleepover. It’s reminiscent of going to your friend’s house who has all the cool channels and magazines that your mom wouldn’t buy, and finally getting to the bottom of the dirt you’re missing out on. Definitely going on my weekly rotation, keep up the great work!

Hooked by the bachelor episode! Sometimes true crime can feel too intense and heavy. This scratches that itch without being too terribly dark.

Just heard her interview with Reality Steve and quickly subscribed/downloaded all episodes. I’ve loved each one so far and can’t wait for more!
