    One of my favorites
I start laughing evertime I hear her theme song. Alana is an amazing designer, and does a pretty mean podcast too. Wish I could have gone to Stitches and met her.

Not sure why, but I keep listening
The content is good and the sound quality is clear, but when I try to pinpoint why I've listened to this many eps of this podcast I can't answer myself. Alana sounds like she's reading from a script (as others have mentioned), and it means there's really no emotion or feeling in her voice. I feel like ANYONE could be reading the podcast script and it would be the same. The contests are definitely a good way to get more listeners, but it's interesting how she always does a book/yarn review and then gives the thing away. At least other podcasters are up-front that what they are reviewing and have given away were donated to them, Alana makes it seem like she's doing us a favour and reviewing things and giving them to us, not that she was given these things as an ad. It's a little shady and kinda gimmicky. Alana herself comes up as really stuck up in a way that rubs me wrong. I yell at my computer at least once every podcast "season" because she's being really snotty about something and I don't think she even realises it. I hate the theme song. It's gimmicky and stupid. have hated it from the first ep and really wish it wouldn't play after EVERY SINGLE EPISODE because it means I have to put down what I'm doing to fast forward or else sit through the stupid theme song. At least she's mostly gotten over the gratuitous special effects. The content is good though, so I guess I'll keep listening when I'm at home working or studying and can just have it on in the background and not really pay attention to it. That's how I like to listen to this podcast. It's mostly background noise.

    The Best
Alana is a wonderful podcaster on knitting topics. She is a extremely talented as a designer. I truly admire her work and she is very sweet in real life. I look so forward to hearing all her shows. She is truly a treat to listen each month.

    My favorite
This podcast was my very first knitting podcast and I loved it to much, I listened back from episode one. If you are not familiar with Alan's designs go check out botanical knits NOW and you too will be a fan!
  • Browncoatknitter
    Very well organized and concise
That's the good part. She has great content and presents it in a way that is well organized. Alanna can be lacking slightly in spontaneity, but her information is really helpful, and I love the stories she hosts from other knitters. Really good podcast!
  • jgailey4
    clear and useful information
like the discussion of designing patterns- interesting to hear what goes into a new design, and what is frustrating or easy depending on the pattern.

    Love to Listen~ while knitting!~
I love Alana's voice! I started knitting 6 months ago, and am an 18 year old girl, so I get wierd looks too! I knitted a whole fingerless glove, without stopping, just because your voice is so calm and the content is so fun yet vast and knowledgeable! I appriciate your podcast and am going to be a regular listener!

    Great podcast
I enjoy the podcast. The podcasters voice is pleasant and she is a great speaker. I love that she tells of her mistakes and my favorite part is the essay section.

    Essays are fabulous
This podcast is good and one of my favorites. I love her designs but would love to have some content that isn't just self promotion. I absolutely love the guest essays. I find the theme song very fun!

    I like this show but..
This show is now just a commerical for the hosts design work and other projects, which is completely her right because it is her show, but something to be aware of when subscribing. She is a really popular designer which is great, but when she releases something she also sends it to all the other podcasters which in turn talk about it and I just feel like she is getting shoved down my throat at ttimes. I do love the stories listeners send in that get played at the end of each show.

I am always happy when I get a new episode
Alana's podcast is something I always look forward to. She is such a great story teller. I only wish the podcast was more "regularly scheduled".... but the upside is that I'm always exciting when a new one hits the queue!

Just love this fun little show.

    New listener and new knitter
I've been knitting for only a year and a half. I recently came upon Alana's podcast and really like it. She speaks in a way that new knitters can understand as well as, I'm sure, veteran knitters. Great job!
  • nellered
    Monotone
I've tried to listen to this podcast a few times and each time I remember why I don't listen more regularly. Alana has some great segments and there is good information in them, but she delivers them in a droning monotone. It sounds like she's reading the entire thing from a script and it really puts me off of what would otherwise be an entertaining podcast.

    I miss this podcast!!
this was one of my favorite as well as one of the first podcast i have discoved. I love her sense of humor and the the general flow of the the podcast. I hope she returns soon with more episodes and patterns.
  • MissKnotty
    Love this one!
Very entertaining stories, great giveaways, and a really skilled designer, who could ask for more? Ok, want more? The sound quality is great, Alana's voice could calm a Berzerking Troll, and the theme song is just so cute! 'Stop knitting, 'Kay?!" Love it. Great show.

    Great Podcast!
I really enjoy listening to Alana. Great sound quality, organized and smooth delivery. As soon as one episode ends, I'm anticipating the next. You're a natural, Alana...thanks for doing this!
  • NessaMcTastic
    very stilted
Alana's voice is clear but she's very stilted and monotone. It was rather hard to listen to and I had to shut it off half way through. I would try again if she would just relax and try to speak naturally.
  • LuciaKnits
    Very Enjoyable Knitting Podcast
Alana is a talented designer and knitter. She provides good information and I enjoy her demeanor. I can imagine podcasting is very time-consuming but I sure wish she would record weekly! I get it why she doesn't, though! Very nice indeed.

Always interesting, well organized, and Alana is a talented, creative designer. Her work is beautiful and her podcast is a delight-- we get to hear about her process. Content is consistently thoughtful, and the sound quality is top notch. This podcast is on my schedule for good. Excellent!!!

    Fun and Interesting
Never Not Knitting is a fun podcast. Alana's podcast are as interesting as her designs - very light hearted.

    Never Not Knitting
This is one of the best knitting podcasts (and I have listened to several of them). The product reviews are well presented and the knitting stories are entertaining. Unlike some listeners, I do enjoy the special effects. I listen to podcasts while walking the dogs and came across NeverNotKnitting by chance. I enjoyed it so much that I not only subscribed, but I also downloaded all episodes so I could listen to them all!
  • cmaur811
    new to you
I just added to you to my short list of podcasts I choose to listen to.Thanks for taking the time too talk to all of us knitters. Sitch on!
  • Wild Rose Knitting
A Passionate Knitting Podcast! Love It!
This knitting podcast is high quality. I consider it one of my 3 top favorites. What Alana has to say about knitting is informative and inspiring. Her show notes are simple and complete, unlike other podcasters who sometimes talk about things they don't have links to, and you'd like to see the examples. Alana has designed some really lovely knitwear patterns which are available on her blog. I also appreciate that she doesn't talk much about other things--just knitting. That's what I want to hear in a knitting podcast. And finally, Alana's love for knitting and designing is evident. She speaks with passion and delight! What a fun listen! I look forward to each new episode!
  • JoyfulMom
    Love this podcast!
I love this podcast! Alana's voice is clear and she's a sweetly and gentle speaking person. Very easy to listen to and informative to boot.

The first podcast I bonded with
I really love Never Not Knitting. It is the first podcast I have listened to that made me understand why people love podcasts so much. I can totally relate to all of her stories, even though I am pretty much a beginning knitter. She inspires me to keep up on my projects, and has introduced me to a large network of fiber fanatics. In a time when all of my knitting buddies have moved out of state, this podcast is a great substitute for the normal chatter of a craft group. Good stuff.
  • StringNSticks
    This is my favorite podcast!
I'm sort of a podcast junkie (while I'm knitting), and I haven't found a better one than Never Not Knitting. Alana is charming, funny, and entertaining. She sticks to knitting subjects and her interviews are great. Best of all are the stories (from knitters all over the world) of their knitting experiences, good and bad, which leave you nodding and often laughing out loud. I highly recommend Never Not Knitting to knitters of all levels as well as would-be knitters everywhere!
  • Socksticks
    NeverNotKnitting
This is a great podcast...good sound quality, wonderfully organized, with recurring segments, lots of tips and hints from a great designer, fun contests, and LOVE THAT THEME SONG!
  • FF Wifey
    Never Not Listening!
This podcast is a nice mix of knitting stories, product reviews, knitting accomplishments (with a few mishaps here and there) and updates on Alana's career as a knitting pattern designer. Her voice is pleasant, and her interviewing style is nicely balanced. The only negative is that I feel compelled to buy everything she talks about on the show! Each listen is a test of my resolve :) Keep up the good work!
  • stitchpraylove
    Love It!
I just discovered this podcast and I'm so impressed. I love the yarn reviews and stories. Alana is very funny and I can related to many of her experiences!
  • Didomum
    One of the better shows
This is one I like to knit by.
  • dailydozen
    High Quality Podcast
I love this one! Alana is so sweet sounding and has lots of enthusiasm. She also creates knitting patterns that are for sale on her show notes page. I always look forward to listening each week.
  • pamalajane22
    too many bribes
It seems to me that the podcaster uses contests and drawings to get more listeners. It was really telling when she did a drawing and then pretended that she was going to give the results and then said she was waiting till the end of the podcast. I would rather listen to a true commercial podcast that one where the podcaster pretends they are giving helpful reviews yet are most likely getting a profit from advertising or free products. I really do not like the concept of a "donation incentive"
  • kniftyknittingmom
My 4 year old and I listen every night!
Alona has a great podcast and my son and I listen to her everynight. He even knows all the yarn stores in Portland from her travel show. I love the theme song and she always chooses great topics to discuss. kniftyknittingmom

This is a really fun podcast! Lots of knitting. Fun Segments! Fun sound affects. She's easy to listen to. She does a great job getting her listeners involved! Top notch!
  • sewmanygirls
    Love this podcast
Unlike other reviewers, I've always loved Alana's theme song and music. Her podcast sounds very professional and you can tell that a lot of time and effort has gone into the making of each one. Her story segments are always entertaining and her product reviews are great.
  • Theoneguy12
    Best knitting podcast
I have tried out several podcasts to feed my fiber arts frenzy and have found very few that aren't annoying in some way. Some people have annoying accents, laugh too much, whine too much, talk about their lives too much, or just don't talk about yarn/etc enough! Alana is none of these. I thought the sound effects were a little silly at first but have come to appreciate the interspersion of things to break up the podcast. Alana is just the right amount of content I am looking for in a knitting podcast- a lot of knit, a lot of yarn, and just enough life info to keep me interested in the person behind the needles. Thanks for a great podcast!
  • mere2007
    highly recommended!
I look forward to every new episode - especially love the knitting stories and the segments when alana fantasizes about what she'd like to knit. the music is entertaining too - that theme song gets stuck in my head every time!
  • Imabizzybee
    Always learning something!
I enjoy Alana's creative and intelligent podcast. It is particularly interesting to hear her journey to a profession as a designer, while keeping up with what she is working on and the latest news in the knit world.
  • Anne Jeneer
    Hope She Never Stops Podcasting
This may be my favorite knitting related podcast of all - and I listen to a lot of them. I enjoy Alana's descriptions of her projects and the sound effects. I want to knit whatever she does! High quality sound and content make this a very enjoyable listen.
  • FiberFevered
    Never Not Knitting
I agree wholeheartedly with all the previous reviewers who rated this podcast 5 stars. I love the content, from the reviews to the tips and pattern discussions to what she is working on, including Alana's own adorable patterns. She is creative, charming, easy to listen to, and -- oh yeah -- I like that theme song so much that I have played it for family and friends and everyone laughs. The only thing I don't like is waiting for the next episode to come out. As of today, it has been well over a month since the last one!
