Nub ninjaMost anticipated cast in my listI can’t wait for each new episode. Between books I go back and marathon. HOWEVER.. it would be nice if the episodes were in some kind of order.
-
pinkacerGreat storyCan’t wait to get it in paperback. Love the narration but think it would read better.

Peachy Peachy PooHaving a hard time getting through this oneI’m not a fan of these roughly 20 min episodes. Each week it’s about the black going from room to room floor to floor devouring everything in site. Get it, got it…the black is destructive & creepy. But every week it’s a slooooooow burn to the finish line - which doesn’t seem like it will ever come. This seems like it’s been drawn out w/ the same scenario but different floor in the building for the last 20+ episodes. I’m getting tired of listening, not sure if I’ll finish. It’s like beating a dead horse. Derelict Marines was great though.

Sandaker1Love the storyThis series is awesome but the author does a 100 times better job narrating it than the new guy. I can’t listen to the new version

My Fake Name is Taken tooCliff Hangering Bastard!Another great pod from Paul E. Cooley. Listen to “The Black” series too. You will be happy you did.
-
MadmaximisOutstandingDerelict Marines is as good as anything I’ve read or listened to. When a story has me thinking about it when I’m not actually listening to it tells me it is good.

SirPike1This guy rocks.I absolutely love his work. The Black series and Derelict series are absolute keep you on the edge of your seat gems. I can’t wait give me more type of stories. I also enjoy his portrayal of his characters. If you haven’t listened to him buy a book, or listen to one of his podcasts. You’ll be hooked.

TeviaruThrilling and extremely creative!Having been introduced to the concept of books written and read by their authors, then podcast to us lucky listeners by Scott Sigler has left me with almost impossibly high expectations when searching for other authors in this same format. Imagine my surprise when I stumbled across the “Derelict Saga” purely by chance. I had found another author capable of quenching my insatiable hunger for quality writing, YEA! Having now consumed everything that Paul E. Cooley has made available to us lucky readers/listeners via podcast, I now put he an Sigler together at the top of my favorite list for this format. I encourage anyone who has just stumbled across this podcast to not only listen to this entire series from the beginning but to also listen to “The Black”, another of Cooley’s heart stopping sagas. Cooley’s books are creative, chilling, and filled with characters realistic and familiar enough to have to rooting for them, even though you know they might all be doomed, as you listen. My thanks to Paul Cooley for making my sometimes long, dull, and monotonous work days sped by as I listen.

Dr Mad PhysicsEnjoy the ride! The stories are masterfully crafted and the narration is top notch. I don’t usually enjoy military sci-fi, but this is great. I haven’t started inferno yet, but I am looking forward to it. You won’t be disappointed if you give it a try.

A butt squeezerGotta check outThis is awesome

Nighthawk78Fresh voice in sci-fiI wasn't sure about this author at first, was not familiar with him. I was introduced to him from another author I enjoy. Well I was surprised, his ability to craft stories, dialogue, and military tactics in a sci-fi universe are both believable and entertaining. I look forward to future books.

SexyyetiGreat story tellerFound this through Scott sigler, one of my favorite authors. Paul E. Cooley is a masterful story teller, found Black, and since then I have been binge listening to all of his stuff! Looking forward to the next book in the Derelict series as well as the black series! Keep up the great work Paul!

Guided causeGreat StoriesI loved "the black" and "arrival". I just started "outbreak" and I can say that I really hope that the Indian doctor dies quickly, your accent is killing me. Not enough to stop listening, though. Keep on writing.

VexterA must listenYou must listen, return to listen... and listen some more. I'm becoming quite ingrossed in "The Black" and I belive you will too. Closet Treats was a bit weird, but it took me on a ride I did not expect. Enjoyed it all the way to the very end, Or is it the end? Give this author a try, I don't think you'll be dissapointed at all.
-
Mccool_54Amazing!I like to wait until all the episodes are out so I can binge listen. I don't think I'd be able to wait for every Friday. I love the Black! And Closet treats!
-
Jimb37122Good StoriesCooley is a getting really good at this podcasting thing. I've listened now for about 2 years and have really enjoyed them. the story content is good and solid. the flow of the story is good and when he says we don't believe in happy endings he means it. that being said since my mind is still geared toward happy endings it leaves me waiting for another chapter... then i realize wow no happy ending :) if you like horror you'll like this.
-
DinpalFridays are much betterI really like all Paul Cooley’s podcasts and Closet Treats was just as great. I eagerly awaited each Friday installment.

viewmanbest podcast audio fiction on itunestightly written, compelling

KevLHStumblingI do not remember how I stumbled onto this podcast but I am hooked on the book!! I bought the text version to read when I am stationary and ,of course, the podcast for listening when I drive. A book needs to capture my attention in the first few chapters or it is dropped. The Black grabbed in the first chapter and I can't put it down. Good work no both the book the audio presentation.

JessthegangstaWonderfulI heard a short commercial for this podcast on another network, So glad I gave it a shot. Check out The legend of Garaaga- very cool horror novel with a nice blend of history. These stories should become part of the podcasting zeitgeist.

Criswell WeathermanNot exactly The Street you rememberThis mashup of Noir and Sesame Street is fun, compelling and thought provoking. The NEOCONS cancelled PBS and Sesame Street has decayed into a ghetto of drug addicted and gang war fighting muppets. In the middle of it is the one who already lived in a trash can, Oscar The Grouch, now a private eye, telling the tales, paying stool pigeons, and making deals in exchange for information. "Remember, Grouch, now you owe Elmo a favor." "What kind of favor, Elmo?" "When Elmo wants his favor, Elmo will call for Grouch." It's a gritty reality on The Street.

nemicronNice Blend, Surprisingly GreatHonestly i was very apprehensive when i started listening, and quickly became addicted. Go Oscar Go!

rdmyers97115Fiendish Fun for the Adult crowdThis is Paul Eldard Cooley’s Podcast feed. Everything from short stories, novellas, novelettes, essays and novels are in this blog. Mr. Cooley tends to be very adult in his work so not safe for kids or work. He does a lot of in the Thriller and Horror genres. This is definitely not for the squeamish. So just don’t say I did not warn you. Shows come out irregularly.

Beta Clone 076Slow BurnCooley does something most authors are afraid to do by giving you the slow burning, classic thriller. His mixture of emotional and psychological terror blend perfectly in stories that slowly build steam until finally reaching the point of the unknown, leaving the listener/reader to question the reality of the narrative as much as question whether those really are eyes glowing in the darkness, or just the clock turned at just the right angle...

Pons MatalA dark mind is a terrible thing to wasteA dark mind is a terrible thing to waste and, in my humble opinion, Paul Elard Cooley is one of the darkest minds I’ve known. Paul reaches into the darkest recesses of your mind, pulls out those lurking fears and throws them right back in your face with Fiend stories that will have you shivering in your seat. Also be aware that eating and listening to Paul at the same time, is highly Ill advised. But don’t take my word for it……listen for yourself.

Melly0825Excellent Offering for Horror FansPaul is an extremely talent writer who offers very vivid, authentic, cringe-worthy horror and the occassional delightful rant. I admire not only the quality of the writing but also the overall production . He does wonderful readings and the production value is exceptional. I'm glad to have come across Paul via Twitter and have fallen in love with his work here. A must subscribe to horror fans.

Brent.CGreat Stuff!A refreshing blend of well contemplated philosophy, psionics, and psychosis. From a little hit and run flash fiction to those accounts with a very personal touch (it’ll make you want to file suit), you’ll be entertained and just a bit frightened, by Paul Cooley’s sincere style and talent for story telling.
-
Tripper JReally Great StuffI'm not the biggest fiction fan, but I find Cooleys work very compelling. He spins a rich web of depth into his stories, and his irreverent 'no holds' style is a good edge to his story making. In short, I'm glad to be one of the first to recommend him.
-
suckapleaseExcellent stories - Scary photoDownload, listen and try and determine when he was dropped on his head. Good fun stories, I get scared when I see the photo but then I hear the "female" character voices and then I understand :). Seriously, keep writing and publishing, my commutes seems to go faster and be less daunting listening to your efforts.

BrettCInventive Author Podcast! Hooray!Paul Cooley is very talented, and it's great to see his stuff up on iTunes. His stories are very interesting and the rants are entertaining as well. This is a great podcast, and you should certainly give it a shot if you are a fan of horror fiction or writing.
