    Oh dear....
Fifteen years of The Archers, but our days together are numbered. The characters, storylines, and scenes have become woke and embarrassing. The escape to greener pastures is no more. Perhaps one day the BBC, writers, and producers will WAKE up to what they've done.... Bye, bye Home Farm, et al....

    Can’t do it anymore
I started listening to The Archers during a year in England. I liked it and kept up with it through podcasts when I returned. Little by little the writers made clear that the show would ‘challenge’ its traditional listeners and make the show more edgy. I hung on, despite the charm being worn away. Once they decided to have a character abort her child after being fairly far along simply because she ‘didn’t want it’, I asked myself ‘what are you doing?’ The show’s writers hate people like me. I need to move on and leave Ambridge to their not so tender mercies.

    Way of life
I grew up listening on and off for many years back in the UK, now older and with my own family in the USA I am able to share what was a daily ritual on tuning in the radio into a start the podcast on demand, especially on the longer road trips.

    Lovely Break
Just discovered this wonderful series. Read a lot about it and love listening. What a fun break from the usual, and yet things to think about. Were it possible, I’d start from the very beginning, decades ago….however, starting now is fine too!

    "..?..? Why.
Who is in Linda’s mind. Why has she been reduced to a sulking teen. The plot has been lost, it is not only Linda that has lost her mind, where are the writers, this is sloppy and painful to listen to. We are adults out here listening. The past plots of rape, gambling addiction, child molestation, etc have all been handled with compassion, intelligence, good timing. We have been dealing with pandemic long enough for the scrambling to have stopped. Time to honour the cast and us listeners with an intelligent script.

    Ambeidge episodes since Covid-19
I don’t agree with the reviews you list. I think the episodes since CV-19 are dreadful, the wandering of demented minds. You would be better to continue to write as if CV hadn’t happened in Ambridge. In some peculiar way, it would be comforting to hear that at least somewhere life was the old normal.

    Trip to the English Coutryside
Spending time each week with these wonderful characters acted so well by a great cast makes you feel like you’re a part of the fictional country village of Ambridge. Jump onboard — you’ll soon figure out who is who and what’s going on.

    Never loses its appeal
I’ve been listening for years and, now I live in California, I find it more enjoyable than ever. Here’s to another 60 years!

    Lovely but frustrating
I love catching up with the adventures of the Ambridge families, although there are plotlines I'm not fond of. What frustrates me is that only the last four episodes are available on the feed, so if you miss one for some reason and aren't caught up, you can't catch up, you just have to get on with it. Fortunately, the soap-opera nature of the storylines makes it relatively easy to get back into things.

    A delightful escape
Not sure there is much I can add after 60+ years on the air. As a yank who grew up in England it's nice to have these familiar ties to my childhood. (Though I never listened as a kid, read the Beano instead!) It's a lovely 15 mins escape to a work where, though people aren't perfect, they try to do the right thing. The real world could learn a thing or two from this show.

    Why the changes?
One thing I really loved was the option to go back 15 sec when I missed something. Now you’ve only offered to go forward 15 seconds. Why? I personally hate updates that totally change what’s working just fine. Making everything different doesn’t mean everything is better. I liked things the way they were.

Love to Auntie and The Archers
What a wonderful way to be able to have my weekly 'fix' of The Archers' Omnibus I remember when it all started way back in the early 50's and have followed the story ever since! Moved to the US at the beginning of this year and look forward to downloading the new podcast each week to enjoy my little bit of home. Long may it continue.

    Love it!
I have grown up with the Archers and have listened for decades! When I moved to the States I wasn't sure how I would cope without my weekly omnibus fix. Can't tell you how happy I am to be able to get this podcast. A life saver!!
