    I mean… I listen to it
I don’t know man… they spend way too much time talking about things they hate about the show. I think the format is creative though. I keep it in my doctor who pod rotation, but I have to take breaks from this because the negativity gets exhausting. Two of the three hosts seem to have a lot of fun bashing the show which isn’t uncommon in fandoms but it’s not my thing

What’s to say about a podcast that invites listeners to join in the discussion over on Discord and then bans them over discord? This was one of the best but since I’m not allowed to participate, was never warned that I may be banned, don’t see how my posts violate server rules and haven’t heard back from its hosts after I requested some explanation for why I was banned, what’s the point?

    Missing Episodes?
Potential new listener here. I’m looking for a podcast that reviews all the episodes, but this show seems to be missing episodes 1-33. Where can I find them?

    So Much Fun
Giving this podcasts 5 stars because I adore the recaps/discussions of older episodes AND love listening to them review the new episodes. Even if I disagree with their opinions on it! (Not always, but even so, they are always well-argued and I trust that by the end of the episode I’ll understand where they’re coming from.) A great way to get to really know the whole franchise! Plus how could you not love Nick’s Moffat impression? I’ve started using it in my everyday life. And I’m not sorry, no matter how confused my coworkers looked

    Best
This is a really really great. This is the only podcast I listen to on even a semi-regular basis and I'm alway eagar for new episodes. Listening to this caused me to watch all of classic doctor who. I really like the fun and positive tone and how each person always has a slightly differnt persepective on differnt aspects of the episode. I'm so glad this exists.

    Great Show
Though I don't always agree, that's fine. The chemistry between hosts is great and I love it when they do stuff during the off season.

    The Long Way Around
I'm loving this podcast! I've been a DW fan for years and only just heard about TDC, so I'm excited that they've started doing the Long Way Around series that gives me a good starting point. Scott Carelli, Nick Jimenez, and Cassandra Fredrickson are all great and hilarious together. I also recommend their other podcasts! They do tend to go off on tangents sometimes, but honestly I like that better than if they strictly stayed on topic because it kinda makes it feel like a conversation with your friends. When you and your friends talk about stuff you love, you tend to wander and joke and it just has that vibe to it. You can guarantee I will be going back and listening to as many of the older ones as I can!

    Best Doctor Who Podcast!!!!
I've been listening to Scott's podcasts for years now and this one doesn't disappoint. I also tried listening to other Doctor Who podcasts but they all fell short for me, just my opinion though. Scott and Matt see so much more for Doctor Who than most people and that's what i love about this show. A must listen for any Doctor Who fan. #WHOSAGOODDOG

    The BEST Doctor Who Podcast!
This isn't only the best Doctor Who podcast, it's my favorite podcast overall. I've already listened to all the New Who episodes and I'm watching the classic serials along with listening with the podcast. Scott, Cassandra and Nick need to continue the classic episodes before I catch up...please. #WhosaGoodDog

    Awesome Who Podcast
Review Update: So it has been a while since my last review and there have been some host changes. Cassandra and Nick bring great perspectives to each episode and the podcast is still as awesome as ever. I eagerly anticipate every episode after each new episode of Doctor Who (and even during the hiatus with their Classic Who podcasts). I'm serious when I tell people this is my favorite Who podcast and that they should listen to it too. If you haven't yet, definitely give this podcast a listen. You can tell immedieatly that both Matt and Scott know their stuff inside and out - they are critical about the show, but you can totally tell it is from the fact that they absolutely love the show and want it to be the best that it can be. Before I started listening to the podcast a little over a year ago, I had no interest in Classic Who, but their commentary has opened up my eyes to it and I am very grateful for that fact.

Great Podcast for the Who Fan in All of Us
Love listening to this show even if I have a different opinion sometimes about the episodes. Great show though. Keep them coming even the K-9 episodes.

Fantastic Doctor Who comentary for new and old Doctor Who fans!
I starting watching Doctor Who by a comment made by Scott back when he was doing "Two Geeks a Mic and a Podcast" about 3 years ago. Ever since I never looked and now I was gladly surprised by discoving he is doing a podcast dedicated completely to Doctor Who. This is truly the perfect podcast if you are either new or old to this fandom. Their commentary can be very in deep but at the same time they do a great job explaining their source of information.

More than New Who, but they love that too
I have been downloading these guys for over two years. They are able to bring great knowledge and insight to both New Who and the Classic years. Looking forward to following along as we head into the Capaldi era!

    Very good
This is by far the best doctor who podcast available. I have listened a lot of DW podcasts and Matt/Scott are the best.
  • Lizzybeth03
Great Podcast. Give these guys a chance!
These guys know there stuff. At times they can be super critical about some episodes but when i rewatch them i totally understand. I normally agree with most of what you guys say and I've learned to watch the episodes with an open mind. You guys are bigger Doctor Who fans than I am and have a higher expectation for the show and I love that you speak your mind.

    True Who love
I sometimes I yell at my iPhone while listening to this. I love it though. It's always fantastic debates between 2 guys you can tell genuinely love the show. I don't have a lot of friends that like Who so this is my outlet to feel like I discussed it after watching. Thank you for this podcast. It's great for the lonely Whovian.

    Awesome sauce
If you want a podcast about Doctor Who where they aren't just super fans that love anything Who related but actually discuss the plusses and minuses than this is the podcast for you. FANTASTIC

    An Honest and Engaging Podcast
Scott and Matt put on a wonderful podcast each and every week. Why? Because they're not afraid to say when they dislike something about the show. If you're even thinking about listening to this podcast, you're a Doctor Who fan. That being said, there are probably episodes you don't especially love or plots where you can see the gaping holes. Listening to Scott's and Matt's thoughts and reactions about episodes (especially in the Moffat era) may not be what the fandom wants to hear all the time, but they're honest and really discuss the true potential of the show. I always find myself laughing along with the two of them or nodding my head in agreement to whatever they're discussing. Their smart and witty discussions of each episode help bring the show to life even more. I would absolutely and highly suggest giving this podcast a listen, but only if you're willing to keep an open mind. If you're going into this blindly loving every miniscule aspect of every single episode and are unwilling to listen to an opposing viewpoint, then this is not the podcast for you. If you do, however, love Doctor Who and are willing to let your ideas about the show be expanded to get as much as possible from each episode, then give their show a listen. Scott and Matt, kudos on this podcast. Keep up the phenomenal work.

These two give their honest opinions and aren't afraid to say what they feel, despite being the biggest fans of the show. Its refreshing to hear people treat Doctor Who with respect, instead of just being overly infatuated with it. Scott and Matt are witty and insightful. Definitley keeps my interest in all things Doctor Who.

    Classic Who reviews
2 Guys that are always in a good mood talking about Dr.Who. I especially like their Classic Who reviews. earlier, seemed like one commentor was closer than the other to the microphone but their newer reviews the audio was fixed. Nice to listen to, a great escape from everyday white noise.

    Usually Good
This show is filled with insightful bits delivered be some geeks. With "Running through Corridors" in hand, they are ready to spill minutia on Doctor Who old or New.When they are at their best, they break down a story episode by episode, sometimes even scene by scene discussing film, directorial technique and scripting with much passion. When they are at their worst, they devolve to complaining and whining about Steven Moffat, how he answers questions with more questions and even his answers are not usually straight. When they don't like something, their analytical minds turn to four year old mentality and tend to display little reason why they don't like anything other than it is stupid. I wholeheartedly suggest you listen to them during the off season, but ignore them where the Moffat Run Show is concerned unless you wish to join in on a SM hatefest.

    Please be aware....
These two uber fans expect a lot of the show, and completely tear it apart when it is whimsical and/or doesn't meet their expectations.

The Best DW Podcast I Listen To
If you listen to no other Doctor Who podcast (and I myself listen to no other Doctor Who podcast) then listen to this one. Scott & Matt are great! They're intelligent, witty, and have an awesome chemistry and clearly a lot of fun together. They're not afraid to be critical when it counts (and in this current era I feel like it really counts) but they're also not stingy with the praise when the love something they LOVE it. If you want a balanced and entertaining look at all seasons of this show then this is definitely the podcast for you.

    You guys are brilliant!
I am a huge fan of Scott and Matt's and enjoy their listening to their opinions on Doctor Who. The Doctor's Companion is one of my favorite podcasts (along with their other show The Mind Robbers) that I can never seem to get enough of. I had only ever seen nuWho before I started listening to the show. It is because of their discussions of classic Doctor Who serials that I have started watching classic Who and for that I thank them! Can't wait for more episodes!

Sometimes interesting, sometimes irritating... you be the judge.
Sometimes these guys have opinions that are interesting to a guy like me who has been watching The Doctor's adventures since Jon Pertwee. Other times they seem a little smug and irritating. However, I appreciate the effort involved in putting out this podcast on a regular basis and I think, in the main, you will too. Give them a chance. As a side note, the name of the guy who produced Doctor Who in the 1980s, and who must take a huge measure of the blame for killing it, is John Nathan-Turner, not Jonathon. I met the man a couple of times and he went by John. If you are going to review classic series stories, and I am looking forward to you continuing to do just that, please get the name right.

    Nerd Rage
Two dudes sitting around constantly complaining about a goofy little tv show because things don't "make sense." Lots of whining and blah blah blah...if they don't like it then maybe they should stop watching and go write themselves some fan fiction and tell themselves how clever they are.
  • Dristyle
    Entertaining show
I really enjoy listening to these guys both when they review classic episodes (which play out almost like an audio drama of episode with comments) and when they are discussing the new episodes. Makes me watch show differently but good different.

    Great Podcast
One of the better Dr Who podcasts there. Loved their reviews of Series 5 and have enjoyed their look back on more classic Who episodes. Fun format, great hosts, and good content. Don't miss out on ths show.

    Love These Guys
I love getting new episodes - these guys discuss the episodes honestly and never fail to entertain me. I usually learn new bits of Who history, and my list of "must view" stories grows longer every week. Thanks for taking the time, guys, for making this show.

    One of my favorite podcasts
I've been listening to Geek show podcast for years now. I think they are all of great quality, entertaining and insightful. However the new host on the Podcast a Mr. Matt Smith, No relation to the real Matt Smith well I guess there is a relation because he is a real Matt Smith if not the real Matt Smith, but I know several real Matt Smith's so I think I've run into a metaphysical crises over what makes someone the real thing versus a real thing but I digress. The new host Matt Smith, seems to hate long time listeners like me and I would like nay DEMAND an apology. But on a more serious note, I really do love this podcast and all the hosts past and present and I hope they keep up the great work.

    Fantastic!
This podcast is simply phenomenal. It has the perfect balance of fan-love, series knowledge, honest criticism, and behind-the-scenes news and info. The sound quality is good and the hosts are witty without becoming over-the-top or grating. The old and new series both receive equal amounts of love, criticism, and face-palming. It has deepened both my knowledge of, and love for, Dr Who (especially the Classic Serials). This has quickly become one of my Top 5 podcasts, and I look forward to it every week. Keep up the great work guys! :)

    Doctor Who is the best
I started to watch Doctor Who because of this podcast and I couldn't be happier. Thanks to Scott and Randy for introducing me to this show. It is now one of my favorite shows on TV and without their recommendation and this podcast I probably never would have watched it. This is a great podcast so check out Doctor Who and listen to The Doctor's Companion.
  • katenip
    Brilliant
None of my friends watch Doctor Who so having this podcast is like having a friend to talk to about the show.:) Also, whenever I am particularly confused or worried about an episode like in The Pandorica Opens, this podcast really clears things up. They have great theories. The beginning is very boring though where they discuss their sponser and where to comment etc. But if you're like me and you itch to see more Doctor Who this podcast can fill the time between episodes while helping you understand more.

    Becase it's clever
The latest season of the Doctor has been a lot of fun, adding to the enjoyment is the great job this podcast does in covering it. They have a great sense of fun, lots of laughter and insightful comments. It really is a great (pardon the pun) companion to the show.

    Terrific Who Podcast
Probably my favorite Doctor Who podcast at the moment, very enjoyable to follow along with them this new series. Great commentary & entertaining, smart discussion. I hope they go back & do some retroactive reviews of past series. :)

A great show for the Doctor Who geeks out there....
My husband follows all the podcasts of Scott and Randy. They are very funny, very insightful, and add a lot to the discussion in their shows. I was never really a big fan of Doctor Who, but my husband is so obsessed that I ended up watching every episode anyway. But it really grew on me and I'm a big fan. This podcast has been a lot of fun to really analyze the episodes and share in the fun moments. Plus Scott kinda looks like the Doctor when he's all dressed up in his outfits.
  • V1972
Great podcst about a great show!
These guys do a great job pulling in references and ideas and concepts from the original Who serials and from the re-imagined series. They love the Doctor, know a ton about him, and are very good podcasters to boot!
