    Way too many commercials
4 hour show with 3 hours of commercials. Podcast is the only way I can stand listening. It feels like the exact same show every day. Getting boring.

I miss BJ, but Taryn is fantastic
Show is fantastic. The New show has had some growing pains, but every new step is fantastic. BJ and Steve had a good friendship, but it’s been really fun to get to know a new Steve and with a new cohost Taryn that can really handle his sarcasm and jabs.

    Ignore Comments
Some of these comments are ridiculous.. the show is exactly as advertised. Truly a fun escape from the bad vibes of the world

    Best Radio/Podcast Show Ever!!!
Been listening to BJ Shea since I was 8 years old and now I'm 25!!! Use to think BJ was so mean but now I understand he is logical man, lol Best show ever, funny and entertaining!

    Stopped listening due to changes
I used to listen to this podcast daily. Then Joe started breaking up the episodes into segments, with overlapping repeating content. So now what was one 8am episode might now be three different episodes on here now with full commercial sets. So I stopped listening because it’s just too hard to listen to the same thing over and over, makes me feel insane.

    Great show
Love this show! They’re hilarious I listen everyday

    Out of touch
Sorry- BJ is a douche no matter how much they try to save him and add more people around him. A douche is a douche and he is no hero for the common man as he is worse than the common man in habits. F him. Update 2/15/21I haven’t really listened since he fired RR and they started to play music. Have it a try, probably 10 years after I left. Still crap. Just, if he was funny before, it’s less funny now. Age hasn’t treated him well.

    I enjoy this show
Use to listen to BJ religiously years ago but when they switched radio stations they really lost their way I felt and changed immensely. There use to be so much more talk and longer portions on subjects then eventually it felt like 5 mins of topic and way to much music. Through the years they’ve lost some great talent but also gained some flare at talent (Mmm 😉 Pappi) and recently learning they were podcasting there daily show with out the music has sucked me back in.

Show isn’t what it used to be
Steve and the Rev are still great but BJ ruined the ago by letting his unfunny free loader kids join the show. Losing topshelf and mono nick really hurt the show. Show used to be edgier and funnier but has become a generic morning show sadly. Still decent but not great anymore. I’d go with the mega cast, migs cast, or men’s room first:

    The crew makes me happy
I've been listening to these guys for years. They've changed over time, but are as entertaining as ever. When I moved away from Washington, the podcast helped me stay in touch with the west coast. I'm so grateful to have this motley crew in my listen queue.

Hate the new name, like the show
Let me start off this review with something positive. I've listened to this show since I was a teenager and I'm now 31. I've listened to the show even after I left Seattle behind and every time I move, I still prefer his show to whatever the local stations have to offer. He's made a big difference in my life. Made me laugh when things were down and gave advice to listeners that is sometimes helpful in my own life. So I hope that they don't get offended by the rest of my review, which will probably be mostly negative about their recent name change. The BJ Shea Morning Experience just rolls off the tongue and has been the name of the show for years. I think when they were on The Buzz it was even some variation of that name(think it was just without the morning bit since they were on in the afternoons). Now I guess they're calling it "BJ & Migs"? It just doesn't sound right. It actually has me concerned about the future of the show, but, more on that later. I'm not certain why they changed the name(STP wants to be Migs now? huh?) but they shouldn't have. Changing the name of a show after years of it being BJ Shea Experience just seems wrong. I've always viewed BJ Shea as above all the other typical morning shows but with this name change it makes it seem that they're trying to be more like the "Blank & Blank" stereotypical shows. Which isn't what made them great. Plus, it seems just as weird for a radio show to change its name as it is for a TV show to change its name. I also don't like that the name of the show gives the impression that STP/Migs is on equal footing with the titular BJ Shea. BJ should always be the main host of the show and having him share more of his hosting duties is a bad decision(if that's what they're doing, I'm not sure...) Now, the reason it has me concerned. I wonder if this change was sparked by STP wanting to leave his producer role & take on a bigger part of the show since he's been a cohost for a while now OR if KISW execs made them do it. If the latter, the show may be in trouble. They may be making them do something new in order to boost the ratings. Which, if it doesn't work, could spell doom for the BJ Shea Experience. Oh, wait, I mean "BJ & Migs". UGH. Or maybe they're getting ready to push out BJ? Which would be a huge mistake as he's the best part of the show. Regardless of all that, BJ & Migs is a HORRIBLE name. -2 stars for that poor decision. Let STP call himself "Migs" if he wants but why couldn't you have gone by The BJ Shea Experience with Migs? Or The BJ Shea Experience with BJ & Migs? It would be long but it would still include the title that you're known for. OR, an even better idea...keep it The BJ Shea Morning Experience. Because that name rocks.

Yet Another Poor Decision By a Fading Show
UPDATE: If removing Double R years back wasn't the worst decision ever made then next worst thing BJ could have done is allow Steve to be on the show to begin with who now wants to go by Migs which isn't even his real name. It's Migloire or some spelling of that so he doen't even have the confidence to go all the way. It sounds awful and he has never added anything to the show anyways. He's not funny and factually has terrible tastes while saying countless stupid things. This is not the great show of RR and the laughing non music days of the Buzz through '09. Stop supporting this joke lazy fluff show where its clearly in caoasting mode until BJ gets pushed out. The transition period is perfectly clear now. I nor anyone should support Steve or BJ who lost his way and is in a crisis. He should call and be begging RR to come back to save the show. --- Do people still really listen to this pile? How much is that Travis Gagne paying for these ridiculous ads that will drive you insane? The show must think their audience is bunch of bankrupt fools or thats all they got. Well if you like quality without repetitive segments this show is definately not for you. It's also always "best of" episodes as they always take time off and don't let people know ahead of time. Never have seen an industry that gives so much time off. I guarantee retailers and warehouse workers work harder than people just sitting and talking the same old dumb segments; beat the producer which is the worst, intern challenge, best weekend ever that are all unlistenable. Vicky...please we know why she is there. Definately not the good old days since RR departure and having Steve (who is so blah and a boring personality) who talks too much about stupid wrestling and has poor taste of movies and tv. He will complain about the length of a quality film yet watch hours on end of juvenile wrestling and joke hockey. The repetitive 80's/90's mustic has also killed the show. Talk only with no music was a better format. It was bound to happen as having to work less became a priority without the on air talent of RR. BJ makes up quantitive yet secretive parameters about the ratings system that can be taylored to say you were the best in any critieria if you want to be. Radio & TV ratings are so innacurate and not quantifiable with any accuracy. It's also funny how BJ plays both sides of Rotten T fence when a good rating favors something he likes yet disregards it for the typical geek junk these guys like.

    Love these guys
I'm a new listener from Arizona & quite frankly, I love this show.

    time for change
If you like repetitive segments and watered down humor then this is the show for you. They have given up on entertaining by playing BTP twice a day and recycling questions. It shows that little effort is being put into the show. Just listen to The Men's Room, this isnt worth your time

    Best morning show
I started listening to BJ i think about 10 to 12 years ago. When it was him tippy and Bradley. BJ has the best morning show in the AM! I have to admit when RR came on it added an awesome spice to the show that is now gone. Not only has BJ calmed down but he doesn't blow up at the rev anymore.. As much as i miss the old BJ and RR, the show is still great and i'll keep listening! Keep up the great show and HEY TOPPY keep on cackling it make me laugh every time!

    Been a long time listener
Even though they lost R.R., I've been listening to bj Shea for the last five years and don't plan on stopping. His entrance in conversations when listeners call in isn't as fun as it used to be, but still a great morning show!! Keep it up guys!!

    RR
    What happened to RR?
  • Times they are changing..
    Times have changed
I'm going to have to say that the format change that happened over the past few months has turned me off from BJ. I've listened to this show, in its various forms, back to their Buzz days. The diatribes from BJ are now impotent and just seem repetitive, they no longer have RR which gave the show its yang to BJ's yin. In short if I want to listen to a few songs over and over and over I would load it up and press repeat on the iPod (I'm looking at you Jimi, AC/DC, Led Zepplin). The talk has gone out of this show and I'm now full time a Men's Room fan.

    LOVE IT!
Topics are too short but it's def for your average male listener. Great show! Keep it up BJ!

    Things have changed my friends
Im giving a warning to those that are curious about the BJ shea Morning Experience, its not the same anymore. the reviews you see here are all based on the last few months. Recently the show has taken a dramatic change to incorporate the "majority" of what BJ considers their listeners. Their talk show now plays songs, which isnt weird considering its a rock station....but they have never played music on their "talk" show before. The topics are cut and dry now and very few callers are taken for their opinions. It seems very mainstream now, for the masses i would say. it really is a bummer that i cant fully explain the ADD style the show has taken. anyways, ive listened for upwards to 5 years and im leaning towards another podcast that may actually be intertaining, because so far the BJ shea show has taken a turn for the worst. Best part of all you ask? that the podcasts used to be upwards to 45minutes long, in 4hr chunks. now with the music and lack of "talk" podcasts rarely reach 30 minutes, sometimes as short as 20 minutes.

    Funny Opinionated Deep
I have been listening to BJ and crew so long they feel like family. I don't agree with all BJ'a viewpoints, but that is what a good talk show is supposed to do. Definitely worth giving them a listen

    #1 talk radio
BJ has been the best talk radio out there for years. I listen all the time at work.

Quite simply the best morning show
I've been listenting to this cast of clowns for quite a few years now, from their previous days at another Seatle station to their home of the past few years at 99.9 FM KISW, Seattle's rock-n-roll station. Together, the BJ Shea Morning Experience along with the afternoon team of Miles, Thrill, The Ted Smith & Ben the Psycho Muppet, Seattleites and now the world has their morning commute & afternoon drive time all wrapped up in a nice, funny, thought provoking, engaging and highly entertaining team of rock solid pro's. While the BJ experience is certainly slanted to the male demographic, women would do well by listening. The truth sometimes does hurt, but that is what is spoken here. Disagree if you will, but know that (the opinions which are represented) is in general a pretty good representation of how todays American male is thinking and feeling. The show is pure entertainment with a lot of great bits thrown in & a lot of comedy coming by way of side kick double R and decent every-day-guy commentary from Steve the Producer - who has become in my opinion one of the brightest additions to happen to this show in years. The crazy laughter in the background can be attributed to none other than "Toppy" Topshelf, the man working the board & often times his laughter alone is enough to get you going. Lastly we have Rev manning the phones (barely) and chiming in with his 2 cents on occasion. Now I will say this - this show is not Seattle specific. This is the kind of show that you can listen to & feel a part of no matter where you live. Yes, it is a male empowering, stand up for yourself and act like you got a pair, type of a radio show - it is also very well done, has great comedic timing & also (more often than thought) thought provoking. BJ & the rest of the crew are obviously very intelligent fellows. Which leads me to my last thing & a crucial aspect to this show & worthy of tuning in, even if you aren't a fan of the humor, don't particularly agree with the views or opinions (which they appreciate just as much - just be a man and back it up), this showw is worth tuning into for the sole reason of listenting to the guests they have on and (listen to) BJ Shea work his magic. In my opinion, this guy is one of the best interviewers I have seen or heard. TV included. He respects his guests (which is why they come back & why he gets top A-lister's) and he asks probbing, well thought out questions - often times getting the guests to discuss things thay you may have not heard out of them before. Bottom line - this is one helluva show. One worthy of tuning into & giving it a listen. These guys are some of the best in their field - in the enire country & I'm sure you will grow to love them as one of your own bro's, just as I have. Peace. Aaron Z Maple Valley
